One of the few places a smoker can find some relief once through airport security. Unfortunately for me this is the only draw card. The menu is very limited and the food is ok. Service is a gamble as I have had very good service and some very rude waiters in the past. Smoking area is very poorly ventilated but hey...beggars cant be choosers. I have heard the craft beer is great though.

Everytime I travel domestic at ORTIA I make sure to spend some time here, they have a nice menu and the food isnt too bad either. I usually order chicken wings, a burger or a wrap.

Red Ale is true to its description on the menu... Caramel and walnut nose and more so on the palate. Yonela my waitress was on point and very friendly... Pleasantly surprised.

Incredible airport dining experience with Qaphelani! We enjoyed the halloumi appetizer as well as the avocado toast! The coffee is also incredible! Can’t wait for our return flight to the US through OR Tambo so we can visit again and try the beer flights!

Great bar with good food and friendly, swift service! We took the beer tasting board, which was class as it gives a good 8 beers to try from. Burger without a bun and chicken salad were excellent. Not cheap for SA standards, but definitely better than you average airport food!!!

Lovely earthy yet modern decorated brewery. Great for when your flight gets delayed or a long layover. Relaxing atmosphere and waiter that helped me was super!

Lovely beer. The Porter we had was surprisingly light tasting, but we loved it just as much! The food is good - not quite as fabulous as it looks, but fine for airport food. (We had the beef burger)

Waiting for more than 10 minutes to get a beer on tap is not ideal when youve got a flight to catch. And arguing staff with no visible floor manager left a bitter taste.

I love this place, Africas only airport brewery. The beers have character, the staff are friendly and its much quieter than most of the airport. Food available but Ive never eaten there.

Excellent service received from Thabiso - to quote his words anything for you maam. Thank you for making my Chai Latte a frosted one. The Steak & Chicken both melted in your mouth with every bite. Recommended!

This is my go to place when it comes to travelling via Johannesburg airport. The beer tasting is wonderful and pairs very well with a light meal. The staff are friendly and often tell jokes. The food, beer and the service is excellent! Note: This is only for local flights

Very bad food!!! Bad service !!! Over priced !!!This must be the worst sliders I’ve had in my life ! The bread was so stale it’s felt like it was 1 week old!! The tomato on the sliders was so unevenly cut the one was thicker on the side than the patty itself !!Chicken mayo sandwich was terrible, the fries was cold !When we arrived we sat down and had to get up after a few minutes to ask for menus, the waiter came, dropped the menus and left! Did not check if we need drinks or anything! Then again I had to get up to ask for service, the bartender helped us, I asked a waiter to wipe our table as it was wet and dirty she could not find a cloth between 4 of them !Overall a very bad experience and I think they only service as to the fact that there is nothing else to choose from after you checked in !!

Enjoyed an ACB sampler plate and burger. Really friendly team, nice to see the actual beer brewing tanks beside the seating area. Will come back again for sure, good spot, convenient, selection, overall.

English Ipa is an ok drink, it could do with more hops and some dry hopping. Or just make a stronger South African version :) for all us bitter people. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal and beer. Free wifi availiable from the airport and charging ports/sockets also availiable . For those who smoke, there is a smoking zone where u can enjoy your meal and, drink and smoke all together

Wow the staff is so friendly I just forget the ladys name but she a tall lady with black curly weave on . Her service was superb. And the food was awesome

Waited over 20 minutes after ordering my drinks and was still not served. It wasnt even that busy. Clearly my waiter forgot about me because someone else had to take my order all over again

Nice place to have a bite before jetting off. Service could have been quicker considering it is an airport and most patrons are boarding flights soon. Food was delicious and fresh and well presented

We stopped there for a few hours minutes as we waited for a friend to arrive. Our table was handled by Gloria and we were impressed with the service. Had the opportunity to taste ACB Blonde, ACB Red and ACB Weizen then settled for ACB Blonde and Heineken draft. The Manager (Raymond) roaming around the tables to check if everyone was okay👌

Good beer and OK food. Try the Weiss, it’s the best beer in my opinion. Service can be a tad slow, it the beer makes up for it. Good alternative if the Bivest lounge gets too crowded or you are tired of Castle Lite.My son says the milkshakes are awesome.

A good place to unwind and enjoy a meal or a beverage while waiting for your flight. As the name suggests, craft brews are the main attraction, but the coffee is good too, and the menu has a wide choice of snacks and meals. Plentiful table space if you need to use your laptop too.

Where do I start! I guess my disappointment originated in the name, “… Craft Brewers”! Look, the staff are awesome and the food on offer is of a sufficiently high standard to keep the 3-starers at bay, but the alcohol, dear oh dear! The Craft Beer is anything but! I understand there is a business to run, but having all the beer taste like Lager is just not good nor accurate! Lager with a dash of flavour … then calling it an Ale or Porter or IPA just won’t cut it! (these lovely folk need a lesson in brewing Ale). And then if I were to talk about the Gin, well, one can’t taste the Botanicals at all … not at all. I’ve been to all-inclusive resorts in Egypt that had alcohol (for free) that tasted better. Anyway … I’m trying not to be harsh but the more I think about it, the more I feel I just have to be honest!By all means, stop by and have a cheeky pint and a snack, but don’t expect too much.

The perfect spot to chill out in the hustle and bustle of OR Tambo International!! Its more than just a brewery, its a grab a bite to eat, meet and greet, had a tough flight and need a drink, had a great flight and want to celebrate kind of place. The prices are reasonable, the portions great, the service fast and its kid-friendly. A must stop when at the airport or if you wanna sample some damn fine brews, bru!!

The dont seem to understand that they are at an airport and people have limited time. I have visited over 20 times and the service is rubbish, food average and very expensive.

About the only place to get a drink airside in the domestic terminal. Local draught beers are the same price as the craft variants and the food seems relatively expensive. Ideal for a quick beer but nothing more.

We visited the Airport Craft Brewers for a light lunch before we had to board. I had a toasted chicken and Mayo sandwich with chips and a red cappacino. The food was really good. The service was ok.

Really tasty jalapeno burger. Definitely would recommend going there to taste that burger. The seating was a bit crowded but comfy at least and the place was neat. The waiters were friendly and helpful with anything we might need. It is a bit loud tho but if you are going through the airport make sure to stop by there.

Great little restaurant! The service was excellent and friendly. I love the seating available, we were a party of six people and could be seated comfortably at one table. Orders were taken and delivered in a timely manner. Food was delicious!

After a long flight from Atlanta, we stopped in for drinks and a quick bite to eat. Our server Yonela was very friendly and helpful and even tracked is down after we left when one of our group forgot her sweater. We had the fish and chips which is SO fresh and delicious... so much so that I forgot to take a picture.

Service slow, especially for an airport, but friendly at least. Good coffee.

The Restaurant is just fine, nice and clean, friendly staff, all right. Would be 5star but since it is also about craft beer I just have to include the beer in the rating: 1. Great that you have a sampler! 2. Among the best beers in SAf! However 3. that is not a high barrier to break, use more good Hops guys! Everyone can brew a bevrrage that has alc in it and tastes like nothing (see castle lager) but it is the HOPS that make the difference! You are on the right way, dare to double the hops and try to increase the body of some beers, e.g. Weizen by mashing less ;-)

Lovely watering hole at the OR Tambo International Airport. Please dont drink and drive.Food was good and good variety on the menu - chicken, steak and veg options. Portions are quite generous as well (try their burgers).If you are going to venture in (and you are not driving) try the craft beer tasters (small glasses of their craft beer) really nice way to try a bit of everything.

When I was here, it was quiet and relaxing while waiting for my flight. I ordered a ACB burger and the patty was moist and tasty. Very much that homemade taste. The music creates a soft and comfortable ambience. Feels like a business class lounge. I enjoyed the experience.

Best place to eat at OR Tambo. Cuisine is typical on the genre of restaurant but well done and the best of the bunch in this airport. You wont be wowed...but you wont be disappointed

The beer is great. I have to say one of the main reasons for me to go here is for the beer. The food is good to. Somtimes the portions seems a bit small for the price but overall it is not to bad. For something different than the standard places at the airport give this place a try. Again, the beer is great!

I had a great breakfast of salmon and eggs on ciabatta. The waiter was attentive and the food was excellent. There are several different options of their own in house craft beer. The IPA is quite strong and fruity, but has a smooth finish.

The craft beer is awesome, my favourite airport stop. I brew my own beer but wish I could get my hands on their recipes. A great stop over between flights. I shall be back for sure

This is the best restaurant bar in OR Tambo International Airport! It includes an excellent drinks selection, with some great craft beers on offer. A smoking section, and Sports channels on TV so you can catch important sporting moments before you fly. Food is pretty good too

We had a business lunch at the Airport Craft Brewers. Blessing was our waiter and ensured that we received excellent service! The food was also great. Overall a very good experience!
