What annoyed me is that we all had to queue to pay for entry however the cashier allowed one woman to jump the queue before all waiting patrons. Limited variety of dishes even though it was good food. No social distancing while queuing for food and some guests didnt wear masks. Dessert was enjoyable and waiters were friendly and courteous.

I was so disappointed with how this business is being ran, i made bookings for 15:00 and @ 15:00 I still had to stand in a long queue till 15:45 and when we finally got in, it was so crowded, we had to stand a long queue to get food with no covid measures in place. The waiter took their time, I really dont think i will go back here again. This is a potential covid spreader, I hope management find a better way to manage all this.

Decent food, nothing really wow. For the price I expected more variety to be honest. The drinks are really expensive. So plan to spend a lot more on extras.If you book a table for a large group, you have to pay to have a waitor.... And theyre really slow.

We had a great time, I would suggest that they have trays since meals are dished on smaller bowls. Its hard to carry them on plates. But we genuinely had a good time

Party of 20. Lovely food, everything was fresh and delicious. When it came to the food it was a lovely experience. I cannot say the same for the service, everyone was friendly and nice except the waitress. I think she was overwhelmed. She was not very helpful and not friendly at all and to top of off, she never even gave me my change after I paid for wine, even though we already gave her a generous tip for that pathetic service.

Made a telephonic booking on the 1st of May 2021 for the 8th of May 2021. Upon arrival, my booking could not be found and my name did not show on the list of people who had booked. I was so upset because they wanted to allocate me an outside table which they generally allocate to people who dont have bookings. Pamela was not helpful at first as she appeared very sarcastic and had no respect nor did she feel sorry for the inconvenience. Billy G is a buffet restaurant that caters more for black people, it is very unfortunate but where there is more blacks, the service tends to be poor and this is the case with my recent experience. I will never visit this restaurant again, it is out of my league. There is however a great selection of food and the food is very tasty and worth the price. Drinks are very expensive, 1.5L of coke is R45.00 not sure of alcohol prices. But my advise, dont eat here, you wait very long to get in and you then join another long queue to the food station. This place is also not for the elderly judging by the long queue.

As someone who enjoys trying new food experiences like everyone else I was very disappointed. There variety was absolutely poor. Mussels was stale. I did bring it to the chefs notice to which he said will confirm if the mussels is fresh (that put alot of doubt in my mind as he was the head chef so I didnt expect that response) the mutton curry was just fatty fatty fatty.Chicken wings was so salty and over powering with black pepper it will make you cough. I love cream spinach but your version of it was yuck. Stifry chicken was more like a soggy bowl of noodles thats over done and seasoned. The sushi was horrible. The dessert was so unappetising you wouldnt even want to try more then one servings. Totally not worth the experience, however the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Billy G for making me understand what your restaurant is capable off. 👎

Im typically not a fan of buffets but gave this place a try. I think it would have been much better if were eating beef and pork as there was much more of a selection for these meats. The food was pretty standard, so was the service. Pasta and ice was point, probably the best items served here.

The queue on entry is exhausting. Surely a better way to do this can be used. Why not use online payments and just request the reference number. Other than the entry. There is a wide variety of food and I love the way the servings are dished. You can spend a lovely 3 hours there. 11 to 2 o clock and 3 ti 6 o clock.

I am so disappointed at Pamela and Blessings treatment when i went to make payment for my booking. On arrival i didnt hear them greet, i heard what am i there for? So i greeted them and they didnt respond and looked at me rolling their eyes. I was shocked at this behavior at a place a put 5 stars for in terms of professionalism. These ladies were unprofessional and rude and i didnt understand why because we dont know each other. I ended up telling them what i am there for after freezing with shock for 3 minutes. I was flabagusted at their level of professionalism and hospitality and wanted to just leave and cancel the whole thing to think i would be served by people who cant smile at a client and just say hello?Pamela disappeared to the back and we stood for 15mins and only did Blessing offer us a seat. We waited not sure what we were waiting for as Pamela asked about the guests and never explained anything. We were later assisted by a very welcoming lady Mam Nonhlanhla who took over and assisted with a lot of politeness. I am glad she took over because i was already turned off by the behavior of Pamela and Blessing.I am unfortunately giving a true reflection of this day. I hope on my birthday they will be on their best behavior.

Myself and my husband visited Billy G at Monte Casino last night. We had a booking for 19h00.The LONG standing in the line was just really not on. We were standing for at least 15 to 20 min just to get in. Eventually we got in after paying R230.00 per person for buffet.Atleast 5 waiters bundles around the computer busy there not even acknowledging that we are there we had to really catch their attention.Eventually 1 waiter seated us. We started to dish up when we got to the carvery section, the lady carving the beef struggled to cut because the beef was really tough even the short rib was tough. Creamed spinach was green and that was the only thing good about it, no salt and a burned taste.When we returned home through the night both of us had runny stomachs even still today not fine.I would not recommend Billy G at all. 3 years ago we had bad experience at Silverstar Billy G..cold food etc.Billy G is not worth the lots of money we spent!

Very unhappy. Massively racist. I was the only white family. I waited more than 2 hours afteri got confirmation to enter and after another long queue they said that i must wait another 30min because they are moving tables. But all the other people ( blacks) went in. Will never go there again.

Totally disappointed with Billy G Monte Casino. Well seeing that it is Monte Casino the standard is expected to be way higher right? We were 4 adults and 3 kids and the standard was way below average. We had paid the full amount that was required which was over R1000 and paying that amount of money surely we were to get good food. That was not the case, firstly we stood in a long line to get a plate and then we were told that there were no sushi and they were not making it. We got basically non of the rest and desserts were icings basically. Was a total waste of money, had we seen this before paying we would have walked out and got better meals at spur for less.

When I first spotted this place i researched its ratings and was not impressed with what I found on Google or Hellopeter. But dispite all that I ended up trying it out. The manager Salias was very helpful and the service was good. The food had no issues not sure what people expect for R199 but for me it was worth it. If your not sure go try it give them a chance.

I had made a booking for the 13-02-2021 online for 17:00 in January and i call a week before to confirm my booking and if needed to pay and was advised all is in order will pay when i get to the restaurant . on the 12-02-2021 got an email to confirm my booking and i confirmed. i was so excited and when i got to Bill G every thing went wrong. they advised me they dont have my booking because they dont have a 17:00 booking showed proof the proof of my booking advised i called and confirmed everything. the lady stated i should not trust online things felt that was rude non of the staff showed any empathy or apologized for an inconvenience caused they left me at the door with my partner and said maybe came back at 7 will see if there is space. so the staff expected me to wait outside 2hrs for a maybe. and i only wanted to enjoy a birthday dinner. thank you bill G fourways for the terrible service rendered bad service

This was by far the most dissapointing and apaling restaurant Ive ever had the displeasure of dining at. We book in advance online and when we got there we were told that we have to wait until the current diners finish before we can enter as there will not be any food for us to eat. We were made to wait over an hour after our booked time before we could enter. The food is of such horrendous quality and standard that I wanted to leave and demand a refund. One of our guests found a hair in the mussels. The sushi was off. The deserts were dry. I will never recommend nor go to this restaurant ever again.

Under this new lockdown, the food are wrapped in a plastic. I found the food to be a bit stuffy with odour, as if it was pre packed in the morning. I went there for a booking for 19h00 and my experience was very bad. At some food station there is no one serving and you must wait for someone to finish serving something else to come and serve you, that affects the queue not to move. Rather not dish the food and wrap it with plastic but have people to serve at all food station, that will make me believe that the food is fresh.

They dont deserve a star because on the 28th February Saturday night they made us travel all the way to the restaurant to tell us that they cannot let us in because they was no food to eat. And the worst part they let us wait in the line for long not even telling us what was going on whilst we had a made a booking in advance. The manager and the waiters they were so rude to us. They service is so bad. And worst part it was my birthday dinner.

I have been to Billy G many times and for the first time i was disappointed with todays food 3 Jan 2021, firstly the whole week no one answers your landline, times where changed due to the country going back to strict level 3 regulations and no one bothered to notify people who already make reversations, you guys really need to improve your admin side, its the worst of them all, the food was not up to standard, the environment is no longer welcoming like before, the staff look like they are tired, they did not have many varity of foods like before, the money i paid was not good value for the food i ate, if covid-19 played a huge role is some of the above changed i made Billy G should have dropped their prices too 210 its a lot of money for the food that was cooked and surved today, i paid for 5 people and i am really not happy with the recent restaurants standard, a reservation was made for Saturday 9 Jan 2021 and i am invited to join in hope the service and the food standard will be much much better than what we ate today 03 Jan 2021.
