Went to Del Forno Bergbron about 10 minutes ago for takeaways.We were not greeted or welcomed. OK we went straight to the counter to read the menu.1. Still we were ignored and no greeted by the lady who standing there. She continued with whatever she was doing at the till. She didnt introduce herself nor ask if we have been helped.2. Somebody came after us, she was assisted with a smile and we were just standing there. I then asked if we will ever be helped, then only she said she greeted us but we didnt respond. I then asked her why she didnt make sure we got her attention n because we didnt hear her.We then decided to walk away without placing out order, the staff member was still not apologetic about the incident.

Food outstanding but liquors are on owner discretion up to 30 per cent.

Great pizzas with a thin crust at reasonable prices. The Shangria was outstanding.

Very good breakfast of pork sausages, toast, rosti and eggs. Very similar to Mugg and Beans breakfast.

Arrived and unlike previously (now under new management) waiter did not enquire if we wanted any drinks. She left the menus and dissappeared for 15 minutes and upon which we had to enquire if we can place our drinks ordert

Weve ordered from this store many times over the last 2 years.The food is impeccable as far as local pizza goes. The pizza is made with natural coal oven and the toppings are delicious, consistent and generous.They also have a live singer on Tuesdays.

We ordered a pizza with a gluten free base and vegan cheese,(dairy free as this is an option on their menu. they put an extra order of vegan cheese on top of the mozzarella. This makes no sense to me. Then the (grumpy) owner tried to tell me that people order vegan cheese on top of their regular cheese.i can 100% gaurentee that this never happens.Expect when you order here to be extremely specific about what you want and assume that the staff know very little about their products.

I loved the burger. The party was fresh and cold beverage did justice on what was a hot day. Cozy little spot that located in small shopping outlet. You can also find Woolies there. Overall I had good experience.

We ordered a Regina and Da Vinci Pizza with a box of large chips, extra spiceWhen the food got here there was almost no mince on the Da Vinci pizza and only a few pieces of steak, the chips was old and had no extra spice. First time ever that we were not happy with the service sad to say as we always refer everyone to Del Fornos

Creative pizzas with unique combinations. Pleasant staff and attentive management. Accommodated a large group with ease. Quiet but open. Can be a bit pricey for what ine gets. Quality good. Marvellous desserts. Worth another visit or three.

Waited more than an hour for my delivery before I called, to hear that the driver left a long time ago, keeping in mind I live 1.6km away. Where the lady answering the phone tells me she will call the driver just to hear nothing from her then call again to ask and she will say that she will call him again, resolving nothing even if I spelled the adress numerous of times. End of the night still I have not received my food. The last time me and alot of people I know will order from them.

Very disappointed. Not what I experienced in the past. Breakfast took almost an hour to prepare. And the quality of the food not what Im used to getting from this restaurant.

Sadly the food and service from this establishment is not what it used to be. We used to order from this restaurant religiously and we can say that with time there has been a steady decline in the taste and quality of the food and the service. The food is lacking in flavour for example we recently ordered the creamy strips of sirloin pasta and it showed up bone dry. Heaps of dry pasta and overcooked steak. In addition to the sad state of affairs with regard to the food, the manager is unfriendly and his attitude leaves much to be desired. It really is unfortunate. We will be taking our business to the Flora Centre branch.

Extremely dissapointing experience.We went here for supper last night and1. Not a drop of sanitizer in sight and no patron logbook either. Luckily we had our own sanitizer. Tables werent wiped down either after patrons had left. Covid is not a reality for this establishment.2. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, our food took a really long time to arrive and one meal arrived almost 15 minutes after the rest of us got our food. Clearly the waiter forgot to place the order for that meal. This would have been understandable had the place been buzzing with patrons.3. The fried halloumi was over fried so it very rubbery. The aglio olio dish was dry and lacked flavor.4. We ordered the malva pudding and chocolate volcano for dessert. The malva was white in color and looked more like a vanilla sponge cake. The cake was dry and spicy and had a terrible after taste- first time in my life that Ive had that version of malva it was awful. Also, it was served with the foil wrapping still stuck to the bottom. The waiter insisted that it was malva.The chocolate volcano was rock solid and did not match the description at all. Having had this dessert before, what we were served was definitely no chocolate volcano. This dish clearly spent way too much time in the microwave.5. We asked the waiter to let the manager know that we werent happy and I asked her to call him. She agreed but proceeded to join her colleague at the til without calling the manager until I looked her dead in the face. She then went to the manager, we stuck around for at least 5 more minutes and the manager never came to our table. I couldnt believe it!!This restaurant never use to be like this. Needless to say, we will no longer be supporting this establishment.

Del Forno is a mixed bag of restaurants so I was not entirely sure of this one but in the end, theyre good. I could hear the person who answered the phone and he could hear me. He could communicate and took my order with minimal fuss. The delivery arrived quickly with a proper amount of topping. Its expensive but then pizza is. My only issue; they dont mention the delivery fee on the phone or in their menu. Ive picked up there before and the pizza is good. Very good, thanks guys. Edit to add: they actually replaced the spinach on my pizza with rocket; not impressed with that bit!

Del Forno at the Terrazzo centre is a lovely and intimate pizza restaurant. Not only do they sever pizza and pasta, but also steaks and burgers. Their service is always good. The prices are a little high, but well worth it. They also do takeaways and deliveries to the surrounding area.

Waited over 25 minutes for 4 cocktails and another 20 minutes for the food (total of 4 tables including ours). The steaks ordered looked like they had been boiled, they were bland and very dry even the medium rare option. Had to request to speak to the manager as he did not do a single round to check in with patrons. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Whenever I have a sit down at Del Forno the service and the food is excellent.But every time, like toning when I order in the food is a major let down, skimpy not half as good as with a sit down and almost 20% more expensive that the menu on the web.No it is not the delivery, the food is still warm. It is the quantity and quality. Sad.

Chicken old and tough

Honestly one of the best Del Fornos! Their deliveries are always on time, food always of a high standard. Sucks that they have added the R10 delivery fee, but the food is always fast, always fresh.

No stock on anything, order mussels, out of stock, no problem order something else, no cream uhm ok, Beef Wellington sorry no stock, my word, lambchops uhm sorry no stock, drinks finally arrived, milkshake cant use a straw was just ice cream had to ask for a spoon, to save time paid for drinks and left to go eat elsewhere. Such a bad experience

Tonight I ordered a single nachos pizza at 6:15. I explained to the manager that there was a power outage and asked if it was affecting delivery times. He said it was quiet and the order would only take 20 minutes.At 7:10 my husband called to enquire about the progress and was told that the store was incredibly busy and that the driver, who left the shop only 5 mins before, was delivering 4 orders. The driver arrived 10 minutes later, hooted insistently at the gate instead of ringing the bell, and so not only was my food late but also near cold. Very disappointing service, Del Fornos, this needs to get better!
