Love the food usually, but tonight NOT so much! our prawn Tikka masala still had tail shells!!! Not happy.. Unsure if this is how they serve it usually.. But not very user friendly

We count on Spiceburg for our local curry. Pepper Gobi is to die for but better to eat in the restaurant than take away, just to get the crispness to support the wonderful flavour.After trying many curry houses in and around our area Spiceburg remains our favourite and go to spot.Vegetarian dishes are always great and my best is their butter chicken. Sadly, portions and heat can vary depending on current chef but no less or more than other independents weve tried. Spiceburg still gets my five stars and I highly recommend

Awesome setting, look and feel of the restaurant is nice... Waiters are friendly and well versed on the menu to explain what the different meals are... Down to the food, awesome presentations great tastes with a multitude of different flavors, pure authentic Indian cuisine...

Spiceburg Dosas are exactly what I was searching for. Super thin paper dosas, beautifully crispy and fantastic taste.The pani puri and the Bombay Crush, I loved.The chicken 65 and chicken fry were not exactly what I was expecting, but still good. The husband loved their sheekh kebabs and rumali rotis.There are plenty more items on the menu that we want to try and we will be returning here often for the dosas.Love the seating and the setting. Lots of semi open air space which is fantastic in these Covid times.

Absolutely amazing food. Prices are great especially considering the portions. I often have to take my left overs home with me because I just dont have enough room. There isnt much else to say.

Food was excellent! We ordered the masala dosa, tandoori chicken which came with salad and chips, garlic Naan, kerala fish fry and a chicken fry also came with salad and chips.....everything tasted amazing. We ordered a medium heat level. The food did take a bit long to prepare but it was definitely worth the wait. The chicken fry was definitely my favourite. Great service by the staff as well. I didnt take a picture ofbthe fish as it came last, but it was a whole fish a blue marlin and extremely tasty with crispy curry leaves and papadum shavings on top.

Absolutely pathetic experience , I ordered the Pani Puri via Mr D and the order arrived incomplete without the Pani! How can a restaurant send an order without the main part of a meal? Are there no quality control measures before an order is sent out? I spoke to Ivan when I called the restaurant to complain, who then said he will send over a free portion with my next order and failed to comprehend this order was a waste as it was incomplete hence inedible. He had no intention of rectifying the order with the excuse of no driver and refused to take accountability. Totally incompetent for a restaurant not to get a basic starter order correct in these dire times. If there was a no star option I would select it.

Been getting food from them through UberEats. Really nice food, particularly the samosas. Love the samosas, they always arrive hot and are tasty.

Very spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff however I found the service to be a bit slow. We were seated for half an hour and the complimentary dish was not served. Drinks also took a while and only 2 tables were occupied then.We had the prawn Tikka Masala and the Tali with Prawn Madras. For us The food was above average but not excellent as certain dishes in the tali lacked flavour including the Prawn Madras. I would recommend the Malabar Roti and the vermicelli desert.

I visited spiceburg on a random Friday evening, the place wasnt packed at all.The service is okay, not the best but okay. The waiters are not as tentive as one would expect.The food was very rich in taste and texture. Is very well made and presented, enjoyed it. The price is also well placed.Definitely a good spot!

I went with a friend yesterday for the first time. Wonderful service from our waitron and the manager - and amazing food. Both the cauliflower starter and the special fish and green mango curry were perfect!

Discovered their Special Prawn Curry; can definitely recommend!! The Bunnychows were amazing as usual...

Starter: Pepper Gobi: lip smackingly good... Vegetable Makhni: delicately delicious. All accompanied by perfectly cooked rice & more-ish butter naan. I do live in the area & its a local spot for me but I think Spiceburg is worth a visit. Attentive, friendly service. Highly recommended.

Its okay if you want the Indian experience. However, if youre Indian, and have grown up loving your Mums cooking maybe order what you know youll enjoy. The Rasam is really hot and spicy!!! And the lassis are great.

Rice undercooked chicken way overcooked

After I had lunch here I left my AirPods behind. The staff kept it for me and it was returned the next day. Honesty like this is rare. Thank you staff of Spiceburg.

This restaurant was recommended to me by an Indian colleague when I asked her where to go for authentic Indian food. It did not disappoint. They have the most delicious variety. I didn’t know Indian food could be so good. The ambiance is also lovely and warm, and the waiter was super attentive to our needs. Would recommend any time.

This place has got an excellent setup. Great venue with nicely designed interior. Its looks very cool inside. But the best thing about the place is the amazing Vegan food! It has perhaps the best cauliflower dish ever! Excellent restaurant!!

Took my parents here on a spur of the moment treat. Fantastic food and brought back memories of authentic Indian cuisine from Kerala for my dad who studied and traveled in India. A heartwarming and amazing experience of nostalgia, aromatic food and light classical music in the background. Highly recommended.

Indian cuisine that wont disappoint. You get what you expect if you know your preferences and the food is as tasty as can be. The portions are also surprisingly generous, so be careful not to order too much!

Really great Indian food. The aubergine chips starter is now a firm favourite. Lovely staff and wide selection of food and drink.

One of my favourite Indian style restaurants. Fairly large seating area with a great selection of dishes. There are some great dishes on the menu that I havent seen elsewhere supported by the usual fare too.Try the Pane Puri starter. Its amazing!

Fantastic meals at fair prices, the service was spectacular and authentic. I typically judge Indian restaurants on the quality of their kormas, and SpiceBurg has delivered the best to date. The drinks are reasonably priced and the restaurant is located on a busy street which adds to the vibe.

I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Indian restaurant that does not shy from using real spices (not just powders as most Indian restaurants in Joburg do) such as cinammon stick, red whole chillies, cumin etc.TBH my love affair with spiceburg started on a very rocky patch. On my first visit I ordered Jeera Rice and a veg dish which were both below average. Since I stay literally 2 minutes away I decided to give them another chance and I am glad I did because the initial experience was not typical at all (I ate more than a dozen times since and it has usually been fantastic). Their naans and rotis are also fabulous (ask them to make you pudina roti. You will love it!)
