This is the most great experience I have ever had. I like the atmosphere around this place. The food is amazing and to crave for. I like the fact that you choose or create your own favorite meal and it caters to those who are vegetarian or banters as well. I had a great time here. Service was great and the food was awesome. You can chill out and eat with your family and friends without having to worry about anything and have great experience. I will come again.

I had the worst experience of my life. First time I came here and the service was just bad. The waitress treated us different from other people of different colour. We requested to be served by another waiter because wow! But now everything was just bad. In this hot weather, we got warm water, with 2 cubes of ice and lemon. Food came cold. Everything was just off!!! SEE ME NO MORE!!

Really enjoyed our meal here. Burgers were juicy and made to perfection. Fries were excellent. And the wings were just amazing. Definitely coming back for more!

This is the place to be, to enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. Very friendly and hands on waiters and waitresses.

After eating there for a business meeting (substandard chicken on the burger and all), took home some chicken strips as takeaway. Found an intact staple (yeah, from a stapler) in the frickin chicken. Like... What do you guys do to chicken strips? Thats not even mentioning how exceptionally dried out these poor little strips are. Also, 6 strips for R80? No thanks.

Cost is a bit on the higher side compared to MacD or KFC, but the ambience justifies the cost.. Best place to sit with your closed ones, spend some time and lick your fingers over some juicy, lip smacking burgers.. the open air seating and the hospitality of the staff is just the icing on the cake.. Must visit post sunset.. Ample parking space available too..

We went there during level 4 lockdown. Although there were no waiters the service was great. The food was well prepared and fresh. The orders did not take too long, it sucks that we couldnt seat and eat. We also ordered the mixed bombs. They were great.

Place was very busy as expected on a month end...service was tops and so was the staff. Food was great.

All Rocomamas restaurants rock..um not bragging but yoh guys have you tried their burgers ,their milkshakes especially death by chocolates, hah if I start naming all the food one by one will write a book...Yes was at Melrose rocomamas the restaurant was neat and clean..we were many in the restaurant but you can feel at peace coz of the environment and peace within the area...The staff was very welcoming ...And the food was on point...

If you want real burgers, i.e. smash burgers and not patties filled with junk, Rocomamas is the place to go. You wont be disappointed. I love the build your own burger style menu, along with regular items. The chili cheese fries are insanely good, but hot. Once you eat these burgers, difficult to go back to other chains. Service can be a little slow since it became halaal.

Food is really good. Atmosphere is casual, ideal for a good relaxes night out. Milkshakes are by far some of the best in Gauteng.

Burgers are very good and Juicy. One of the few burger joints that I like in South Africa. Shakes and Desserts are good to go with as well.

Delicious halaal food, but prepare to get messy! Milkshakes are yummy too. No complaints here. Seen pictured is the rack of ribs (BBQ, half portion) with chilli cheese fries, nachos and chocolate milkshake. Those red chillies got a nice kick to em!

Go to spot for burgers, wings and the best cheesy fries Ive had thus far. Melrose branch is top! Perfect burger every time is the 150g smash, chilli cheese bomb burger. Extras can be added, there is a list to choose from. I always pair with avo, best for me! The wings are really good as well, either in the flavourX or BBQ option for basting. Ribs can also be ordered in the basting. Blue cheese sauce dip preferable over the Ranch dip. Chilli cheese fries always ordered as a side. Fully halaal. Service is good.

Pretty good burgers, not brilliant, and I think a little expensive, as one has to purchase chips separately and is either R25 (plain shoestring fries) or R29 (with cheese sauce) more for a small chips. Had the chilli cheese burger (double) which I though was a bit dry. Also tried the cheese and Macon burger (single) which I thought was way tastier and a little more juicier than the chilli burger. I did enjoy the taste of the Macon and cheese burger with the aged cheddar cheese coming through nicely and a smokiness from the Macon. The pickled gherkin cut the richness very well. I chose the smoky mayo with the shoestring fries which was simply divine. Didn’t really expect it to come smoked, but it was proper and had a great smoky flavor, will definitely recommend it.

The restaurant changed to Halaal since we went there the previous time. That in itself is not an issue, but the menu choice seem a little limited compared to what was there before. Service was quick and friendly, so we generally had a good time.

Excellent service. Hygiene is definitely a priority and the safety of their customers comes first. The food is amazing and didnt have to wait long. Manager is extremely friendly, bathroom is clean and well kept. Wouldve been better if men and women had separate bathrooms. Just disappointed that our waitress didnt come to check up on us to see if we needed anything else.

Very cool location, we went on a warm Friday evening and the place was packed but we didnt have to wait for a table. As always, the burgers are yum as are the chili cheese fries! We always have a good experience! Both chicken and beef options are yummy, you wont regret going with either - I am a fan of the chili cheese bombs so I always add them to my burgers. Their waffles are delish but huge so consider taking a half portion if you already had a full meal.

Its a treat to visit Joburg and get to indulge in some of the great local flavours and places. It was so good that I had it two days in a row! Hopefully well get a halaal version in Cape Town soon.
