Service is top notch and fast. COVID restrictions are followed closely. The food is that good old great Spur food & consistency. My niece loved the birthday wishes & song from the staff.

Went for lunch yesterday with a friend. Enjoyed the food. For drinks I always get a Cafe Latte first before anything else, lol, its standard 🤩 and my friend ordered a large Coke.We first had a Spicy wings Starter, they were very nice. And then my friend ordered a Combo of ribs, leg quarter with a side of chips and onion rings. And I had Rump (medium done)topped with creamy garlic prawn tails and a side of creamy spinach-pumpkin-sweet potato. With the food we also ordered a bottle of Rosé. They have Four Cousins and Nederburg Rosé to choose from.Our waiter Thabo was really great 👌 and the Manager Ray, came to check up on us. Hospitality was Tops 👍. That was very nice. Coming again soon 😊

Terrible breakfast experience this morning. Went in with a family of 5 for breakfast. Kids food and drinks were served hot and quick , unfortunately for us adults the experience was not that grand. Food comes 30min later, cold. Sent 2 of the 3 meals back to get warmed up - it arrives a further 30min later. The manager could have informed us that he was going to re-make the meals - but instead leaves us waiting. The toast was just hard bread - not even toasted. Tomatoe was raw and thick enough to serve 5. Will definitely NOT recommend this place - well not entirely, the cheesegriller was quite nice.

We were there in a group of 4 the seating was good , not many people so service was ok.I personally ordered a 400g rib which arrived in one piece . I dont think it was 200g, but thank heavens as it wasnt so much to fight with. It was 3 bones in the end had to battle to get it off the bone. It was really below standard. Guys stop changing suppliers and stick with the tried and trusted, the old ribs were good they came off the bone easily and tasted good. That was the worst meal I can ever remember eating at any restaurant. My 3 companions had deserts and those were offered free of charge to try and compensate for the poor quality of the meal.I dont go to restaurants for free desert so I offered to pay for them rather. I dont know if they were on the tab or not but I did under tip the waiter as well.I was happy toLeave and will never return.

The place is small but overall the food was fresh and the service was great. The drum used and genuine happy birthday singing made the day even more special.

Service is great. The floor manager did rounds regularly to make sure all is well. My steak was done to perfection. This spur really looks after their clients

Of all the spurs I have been to, the food here looked super clean. We received an excellent service. The chips arrived cold but they sorted it out quickly. The tables were clean... I asked my partner if its because its in casino that the standard is soooo high? I am rating them 5 regardless of chips because it was soooo full and they were busy. I would definitely go back here again 😊

My experience here is always good. I love the fact that I can be able to breastfeed my baby while enjoying my meal, without other patrons looking at me weirdly. The service is good. Theyre adhering to covid-19 protocols, during this trying times of the pandemic.

The food here is of a standard I have never received from any spur before.Wings are dry and look extremely unappetizing and the waiters arent really friendly. Butternut seemed off and the waiter did not adhere to what wed wanted specifically.Worst spur I have ever eaten at.

Met friends here for lunch. Kids play area is nice and the fact that someone there to watch the kids is nice. Gave us parents a nice break

Well made Steaks and very warming staffs. Saw people being celebrated by the staffs for their birthdays, a secured playground made available for Children. Really nice place

The 400g ribs portion was too small

I will give them 3 starsReason:1. I had to remind the waiter to give me water bowl to wash sanitizer before I eat. I notice most people eat without washing the sanitizer2. Waiter didnt wipe our table, to assure us that safety is priority in this restaurant3. Kids playing area was flooded with children...🙈 No social distancing there.Their system of mending children is weak, a person can easily steal a child there.I am only happy with the social distancing of tables... that I give them 3stars

Terrible service. Got drinks and nobody came to take meal order. After calling a passing waiter, who took the order. Waited 50 minutes no food. Walked out. Manager offered free meal. Not interested in the freebee after terrible service

It was just okhy, my hubby enjoyed the new Portuguese steak with fried egg on top dish and I hated my chicken schnitzel it felt dry and tough as if its been reused. I took a doogy bag thinking maybe Im just full and its late at night but the next morning it was inedible. I would probably order something else and give them one more try, I dont know.

The atmosphere was great, however, after ordering starters we received main meals after 50 minutes.Service needs to be made priority.

We were going to watch a movie and asked for a quick service which we got. Our food and drinks arrived within 10 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and our meal was good. This place is great for families especially of you have kids under 12. We love the Spur Buffalo wings! 😋👌

This is one Spur with great open hours and still guaranteed to experience that family atmosphere restaurant. There could be 10 minutes before closing time and they will hardly turn you away. It gets packed in the early evening and weekends atmosphere caters for that family outing where you know the young ones are kept busy in their play area. Spur are about family and their food is at a good standard...hot veggies slightly underwhelming.

This is by far my favourite Spur Ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at. You can enter from the food court or from the movie theatre using a staircase that leads up to the seating area. Sitting at one of the tables overlooking the cinema gives you this interesting feeling, the idea of the two places not being separated by a wall or glass windows. Its open. You are free to take in the hustle and bustle of the cinema.What can I say about the food and service? Both are excellent. The waiters are always friendly and the meals delicious. Every single time Ive had something the manager came to our table to check in and make sure things are still the way theyre supposed to be.If you know the Spur name then Im sure you know what to expect in terms of the menu and pricing.

Just told the manager Ray K...how am so disappointed with the waiting game am playing at this spur...ordered a T-bone 30 min ago, it just came well done, but I insisted on medium rear. Now the very same order has just went back to the Kitchen and it has been 15min waiting...Just got what I wanted only now.The manager Ray K...really knows how to calm down customers. I think he just made feel better. Perhaps will still come here. Well done Ray K and Andile 😊

We went to Spur, with an hour to spare before our movie. We were promptly seated.Unfortunately our drink and food orders were not taken and we waited for 20 minutes, despite calling a waitress and speaking to the front of house staff.It was only when I went up again to the front and spoke to the manager ( Sammy) that we were attended to.Sammy was very pleasant and promised to serve us promptly( which she did)Thank you Sammy!

The service was extremely poor. The meal was prepared well, so I gave your establishment a 2 star rating for that. Your waiters seemed uninterested in their jobs. They were too busy having a conversation of their own. I had to seek a waiter out for a refill on my drink. Hes response was who is your waiter. I also had to go to the cashier to pay my bill, because my waiter remained out of site. This happened yesterday between 11:00 & 12:00

I called to make a booking an hour before dinner and told that it’s too busy they are not taking any bookings. My family (10 ppl) walked in and we got a great table, only to be told the table has been booked so we need to move. No one can say why we were not allowed to book but there are people who were able to book and get special treatment 🤷‍♀️... Not impressed at all.

The kiddies play area is tiny. Our daughter left it after 5 minutes again, usually its difficult to get her out.Our waitress was friendly.Food took a while and the hot veggies were a bit taste less.In general Spurs (all) is no more an affordable family restaurant as you spend for a steak of average quality the same as at a proper steak house.

Atrocious service. Had to wait several minutes for someone to seat me and was ignored by several waiters. After running after a waitress, I was eventually seated. I then waited over 10 minutes and had to call a waiter to serve me. I asked 2 waiters to bring plates and they only brought the plates after I waited another few minutes while the food had gotten cold. The waiter only rushed over to bring the plates when they saw I was headed to the manager to complain. After we were served the food, the waiter did not come back at all to check if we were happy with the food. Pathetic. By far the worst service I have ever received at any Spur. Wont ever come back here. Disgusted.

Love this place! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. They are usually very busy during the weekends so do expect a little delay with your order but its totally worth the wait. Never had any problems or issues with the food. If you are a Monte casino member you may get up to 20% off your total bill.

We had a great time with my family, l had a sirloin steak which was very juicy and my beer ice cold, my wife also enjoyed her chicken wings, we had to send back her strawberry daiquiri as it was too sweet, Mbali was our waiter and she was so friendly but we did not get all the service from her as we had to ask other staff to help us with drinks top up, am a restaurant manager and l know how grab and sit affects service, l will suggest you do sections even if its quiet so your waiters can look after your customers to an extent of offering exceptional service. First of all i have been thinking to sue the whole shop or everyone who was involved in taking my Booking.On the 28th of February i went to make my Booking in person at spurs Monte Casino for my Daughters 4th year Birthday.One of the staff took my Booking and we agreed on the time and day i was going to come. On Saturday afternoon i took my cake to the shop and they assured me that it was safe Leaving my cake at the shop for they will put it in the refrigerator because the booking was on Sunday evening.To my surprise after receiving countless calls from their shop confirming my booking nonstop we finally got at spurs 18:30 and we were asked to wait because they ddnt have a table for us.. As disappointing as it is i was shocked and embarrassed infront of my guest because i had assured them that all was sorted.The most painful and humiliating moment was when they brought my Daughters cake which was never in the fridge and all the icing was falling off.. and the cake looked terrible.. Because of my frustrations and the fact that my booking wasnt available i had to go and look elsewhere but as for my damaged cake i really want some action to be taken otherwise this can go far.Very disappointing and lack of Hospitality training for the whole staff!!!!
