I did love how close you can get to the Lion and the Tiger. Our tour guide was very friendly and interactive with us and the animals. The baby lions was a little sleepy when we were there but it was still awesome to touch them.Lovely family outing

Very pricey entrance for a 15 min tour. Has beautiful white tigers and very few other animals. They have lion petting, that was the best moment. Better to call and ask if they have baby lions.

Had a lovely experience there, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The entire experience was professional and fun at the same time, my family enjoyed the encounters with the Lions and Tigers and the animals look healthy and well looked after. A must do if you are in Hartbeespoort for the day and when kids are on school holiday! Well done guys!

Very friendly, you need you know how to negotiate extremely well and not get taken advantage off when they tug at your emotions. Everyone just wants to show you 1 item to buy to support them or give you a free gift and you will end up spending when you dont need to. Large area and lots of African related work. You will enjoy and find anything relating to the country here. Perfect for visitors and finding gifts for travel. Just be careful because the vendors are super pushy, but in a nice way, of trying to make u buy buy buy. Its undercover and near food and there is music on going. Lovely atmosphere.

You will receive a magical experience at this place and witness fantastic beasts only metres away from you. The price is affordable unlike other overpriced animal parks. If you are a cat lover this is the perfect place for you. Some of its features include petting precious lion cubs and plenty of opportunity is given to capture these moments. There is well ventilated resting area with a snack bar and a fantastic Portuguese restaurant close by. You can see beautiful white bengal tigers, caracals and one of South Africas big five, the lion!

I really like the market but be careful they tend to overcharge tourist. I enquired on an item and when I told them its ridiculous they realised I was local and offered me half the price. I would never purchase that item because they did that. The facility is beautiful and the kids loved the waterpark. I would definitely go there again.

The “tour guide” was a 20min walk to see 2 lions, 2 tigers, 1 wild dog and 2 caracals. Interesting facts shared by the tour guide. But at R150 pp it was not worth it. Unfortunately, a once off visit only.

Very disappointing. We paid R100 each entry fee when on the poster it stated that pensioners pay R80. We obviously got ripped off. We spent maybe 15 mins on a guided tour and all we got to see were 2 tigers, a few lions and rooikatte. Definitely wont see us there again

Most most disappointing. The food at the Madagascar Restaurant was laughable. A seafood basket with 2 onion rings and two calamari rings etc. Had to ask repeatedly for the tartare sauce and when it eventually came it was served in a dirty bowl. Wont waste my time or money on the restaurant again.

I love that the village is a mini market that caters to most needs. One can find dresses, shirts and even carpets and pillows at the village. I love the fact that they have a lion park there and a few restaurants that can satisfy any craving you have. Its great for family outings because there is a pool, reptile and lion Park and family friendly restaurants.

Tourist trap! Great if you want to buy African crafts, but bargain hard. If you pay more than half the starting price, you are probably paying too much. Start your counter closet to a quarter of their opening bid. There is some decent food, but for most of it you have to run the gauntlet past the crafts vendors.

This place..... I had mixed reviews at first cause I wanted to go and interact with a lion cub but when I got there was told there were no lion Cubs. Then I was told the story about the 4 lions that were killed by poachers and it broke my heart and I realized if anything it didn’t matter what baby animal I could interact with, my money was going toward helping these animals with better security and a better life!!!!! The animals here are beautiful, so well looked after, they wake up when called out they are just so content and relaxed and living a good life and then you get horrible people who put value to these poor animals and then they do disgusting things to these poor animals! But overall it’s not a huge park as they are still developing but very heartbreaking to hear what happened to the 4 lions. But will deff recommend this place.

As far as tourist go, this must be a delightful place to visit and get your gifts from Africa. Sad that you cant walk 5m without being accosted by the store owners who all want you to buy from their store and not the next. Food stores are angell very good and pleasant especially if there is live music. Enjoyable experience.

It has different restaurants in the vicinity that offer various choices according to taste buds. It is an excellent place for the whole family and has various places for relaxing without going into the lion park and the entrance has a flea market with lots of artistic creations reminiscent of the South African traditional artworks and pottery, while enjoying your meal you can hear the lions roaring. A great location to visit in Hartebees to make the place unforgettable.

It is OK. Kids got to play with a lion cub for a bit. The walk through the enclosures was lackluster. Some lions, some tigers and a few other cats. Get the kids to wear shoes if you plan on going as the gravel road has many thorns. Also stay hydrated. The tour guide was professional, the park is clean and animals are well looked after. Bathrooms were tidy and the kiosk was stocked to what can be expected.
