Very informative, you get free entry If you where at the aquarium.... the vultures are awesome and they have loads of information. Support local because its lekker...

We attended the Aquarium and received free entrance to the bird park. Decent amount of birds to see in a small area. Support these guys.

This place is a great hit for kids younger than 10 year. Theres birds, monkeys ducks, bunnies and goats.

Had a wonderful experience here with my family and was treated to a nice encounter with the vultures at the bird park, we also had a friendly and knowledgeable guide. You can purchase seed from the park and feed the farm animals, the kids had a lovely time there!

Its okay... I think its nice considering its free if you go to the aquarium first. Would I come here and pay a separate entrance fee? No. Its mostly parrots that scream. There are a few other animals though like monkeys and meerkats and bunnies.

Chucky the King Vulture was the highlight of the visit. It was worth it just to see and interact with him.

This is a wonderful little park. I would love to visit it more often. Definitely worth a visit to interact with the pet vulture, Chucky and also see the meerkats and various parrots.

Currently busy with renovations but was still very interesting to see what kind of birds they have. Will be awesome when renovations is done.

The animals were well-cared for in neat, clean cages. Great that entrance fee is included with Acquarium tickets. The owner gave personal attention and shared jnteresting facts. We look forward to all the exciting future plans he has for Makalani Bird Park

Lovely animals, lots of rescues by the sounds of it, worth supporting and visiting

Entrance not clearly marked, and no staff to welcome you. The vulture handler however was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely pairs of birds, heavy on the parrots. Jack was very cute in the culture enclosure when he tried to undo my site laces.

The guide was awesome and knowledgeableCant wait to see the place again in the future

Little hidden away treasure

Educational and enjoyable if you can make peace with the fact that animals in captivity will never thrive. The keeper there was very helpful and forthcoming and made us feel at home.

If you like Birds give this place a go. Parrots galore

Not the faciest place around, but a true bastion of somebody who is trying to help birds and the environment. Apparently you get a free ticket in when visiting some other atrractions, which is a fair approach. If you could get a guide so much better. The birds are numerous but each one has a story. This is more of a sanctuary or rescue centre than a park.

Loved the animals and birds. Cutest monkeys, raccoons, and mongoose. The park looks in need of TLC. Small but worthwhile

Child friendly, inexpensive and a fun family day out

Self catering holiday resort with swimming pool and pub. Normally not crowded. Birds in captivity or free flying can also be viewed. Park at your chalet where you stay. Harties cableway and other attractions like the dam wall and other interesting tourist shops are also close by. Dam for fishing not far from there. Most of the time you can just arrive and book in without reservation. Best to phone ahead, and make sure though. Nice for close to the city relaxation on a weekend or so. Everybody at the resort is always friendly.

Beautiful range of birds and animals , but I would preferred a bigger area for them to coexist.

Beautiful birds but the place needs some sprucing up

Absolutely horrifying! The birds are terribly neglected and not in a good condition at all. Being fed only Sunflower - even the Cockatoos! Meyers are kept in the same aviary is Eclectus Parrots that is know for their agression towards other birds! It was absolutely heartbreaking to see all the injuries on the poor Blue and Gold Macaws faces. This is clearly only to make money and there is no love for these poor animals!

Sweet small hidden bird sanctuary with a alot of feathery friends and a few mammel friends too.

A hidden Gem, disguised by its simple appearance, yet the vulture experience is memorable to say the least and the staff and the intimate animal experience makes this place well worth the short detour. This is a must see in conjunction with the main aquarium run by an owner whose passion lies in the dedication to the well being of the animals. A place that offers a personal experience for a marginal entrance fee. Far more up close and personal than any big zoo and the Bird Park is a must see, following the visit to the Aquarium... For the price of 1 ticket i got entrance into two parks. Played with a Vulture, fed a seal lion held a not-so-baby crocodile along with a plethora of other animals! If youre in the area there is no reason not to pop in to these parks for an hour
