One of only a few places who has survived Covid and is still providing the same experience which they are delivering for decades. Sit under umbrellas and lovely trees and listen to live music. Everybody is welcome from BIKERS to kids. There is a large kids playing area. Wooden seats with no back support. All outdoor. When the weather is good, it is a great outdoor venue. The service is efficient, not fast. There is a seperate dedicated bar. Toilets are generally clean. My 500g T-bone was tasty, but looked a bit small for 500g. Will take my scale with next time. Haha. Pap and gravy was great as a sider. Chicken snack basket was good. It is worth the visit when at Harties. Must say Harties has deterioted and many places were closed or closed down. A plus was there was metro cops for first time to get people moving faster through the tunnel. Prices are not cheap and there is a variety on menu. Not much to offer for Vegans or Vegetarian.

Weve been wanting to try Upperdeck for a while. Nobody showed us to a table. The food presentation is decent. Hubby enjoy his snack platter but found the chicken strips very plain. Id heard so many good things about the eisbeins, but the skin was chewy and dripping with soggy fat, not nice and crispy crackling. Service was bad, waiter didnt have a clue what drinks were available. Perhaps we went on a bad day, but sadly I wont go out of my way to eat there again.

Food is tasty and the service is good. One of our regular biker stops.Unfortunately, although there are several no smoking signs it seems the whole restaurant is considered as smoking.

Went on a Saturday eve . Very disappointing. Service was slow and food below standard . Upperdeck used to be name in the game when it comes to an Eishbein, sadly this has slipped away .

I was there on the 1st of Feb this year. I must say i love that place.Edwin is a good waiter,the food was also nicei would definitely recommend it to people.

The base guitar is set too loud, but it is a nice place to have a beer with friends, and had a great time this weekend🍺🍻

Quite an open restaurant with a pub vibe going. It gets super packed on weekends though so expect slower service and lots of noise. They had live entertainment the Saturday we went which was quite nice. The food wasn’t bad, typical pub style food. I had the chicken strips and chips and my boyfriend had the burger. We also shared some bobotie spring rolls which were nice, but had a bit too much pastry. The Eisbein really looked good though, would definitely go back to try that out.

We were disappointed. The mash that normally comes with the eispein is not mash. Its a cooked up potato flattened with skin and all, in pieces with butter mixed in it. We were also told that they dont serve it with gravy anymore. They also dont serve onion rings anymore. There was also no sourcrout on the menu either. Next time when we have a craving for this we will rather go somewhere else.
