Great relaxing Sunday afternoon venue with stunning music and scrumptious food

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent setting, excellent entertainment! What more can one say about a very unique indoor/outdoor restaurant. Its really worthwhile visiting this restaurant!

A stunning laid back afternoon of Jazz in a beautiful setting with excellent food. Now only open for special music events or private occasions. Well worth looking out for their next music event.

Brilliant. Service was great from Platos the waiter to Lloyd organising gluten free meals prior to arrival and Dan Patlansky as usual was Brilliant.

Quaint little guest house. Lovely dining area with great art and decor. Built in the late 1800s. Susan and Bronwyn were wonderful. Comfortable rooms and had a lovely breakfast there. Unfortunately their restaurant is no more due to COVID.

What a gem. Gorgeous surroundings with comfortable seating inside, on the stoep or under the trees. The menu, as the entire vibe of this establishment, is laid-back, but refined. Great food and service. Quirky decor and charming cats all add to the appeal of this place. The shop sells lovely gifts, preserves and suchlike. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little find. Old Country House with a great garden setting for outdoor lunches. We had a late lunch and there was live music which was great. I ate the butter chicken curry, my friends had a beef pie and the chicken strips and chips - all of them were very tasty! Service was good and the waiter made some recommendations.

Die Ou Pastorie is a gem to behold. Well worth the trip to treat yourself and your family to a wonderful relaxed venue.The atmosphere is the first sense that is overwhelming... Seated under the trees in the cool shade is amazing. The old house also gives one a sense of history and perhaps a sixth sense of the presence of the occupants that lived there over the 140 years.Our breakfast was 5 stars... Service was what you would expect and the memory will stay with us until we visit again.

Delicious food! Portion size and cost are equal for a change. Great service and staff. Just for an added bonus the atmosphere and environment are so relaxing. A must visit everytime.

Situated within near Johannesburg 45 min countryside it is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to unwind from a busy week. Very stylish yet welcoming, decorative but not overwhelming cluttered and a menu and cappuccino to die for. Life music, jazz breakfasts and much more to discover. Quiet and tree filled oasis if you need to disconnect and rest. The rooms are ok but the food (on site restaurant) is amazing and the staff is super friendly.

Beautiful outdoor, in-the-garden, under-shade venue. The rich and wide variety of entertainment offered is without comparison. Check out their website for forthcoming artists. Also an indoor venue for training and smaller seminars. Ample shady secure parking. Food - good but ask the waiter for details before your order - they have some alternative interpretations.

I recently played a music show at this beautiful venue tucked away in Hartebeesport. The venue is lush with greenery and the restaurant is run by a wonderful staff. The food was immaculate, I had the beef and wine pie which was honestly one of the best pot pies Ive ever had. Highly recommend for a day out of the city.

This place is beautiful and quaint. Weve slept here a fee times just to get away from the city. They have lovely concerts under the trees. Theres absolutely morning for children to do hear so its better suited to a couples gettaway. The menu is ridiculously expensive!

Absolutely loved our stay here ! The gardens beautiful the staff wonderful! The food absolutely sublime! The family unit could do with a little upgrading and redecorating was a little cramped to accommodate 2 adults and a child! Will however definitely be back !

One of my favourite destination restaurants. Well worth travelling to. Food always freshly prepared and of high quality. Drinks however is a bit pricey. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly owners and staff totally makes up for it. They often have amazing local artist doing live music shows in the garden. It is the best way to enjoy our local talent. Eg. Arno Carstens, Jesse Clegg, Garth Taylor and many more.

Just as well that we where taken here by a friend who paid. The dishes where small and expensive. The entertainment was very good at lunch time on a Sunday and couples enjoyed dancing.

A well-known establishment in the area, Die Ou Pastorie is a wonderful getaway within an hours drive from Pretoria. The outdoor seating area is lovely. Food is good. Service could be a bit faster. Reservations for lunch are recommended as it is a popular destination in the weekends.

We really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are well played out with everything you may want or need and very clean. Lovely gardens and atmosphere. We booked dinner at the restaurant and it was absolutely delicious.

Music is always great. Food is divine . Out of the ordinary. Shop is totally too expencive, but also special products.

Lovely owner - Adele, super charming staff. Lovely homemade treats and pastries. Bought buttery soft Fudge Brownies - So good. We also enjoyed their Spring Special of Free Coffee.

What a stunning place. The need to enjoy good food and great atmosphere. Place to visit.

The inside eating areas are very traditional, outside this a different place altogether, awesome nature garden under a canopy of rose like smells that is the place to eat outside.The prices for food and drinks are upmarket but not too expensive considering the wonderful garden area, they have entertainment several times a month so be sure to check and book these events ahead of time.The gate is kept closed for guest security, just ring and they will open for you, you can eat here or just enjoy drinks with friends in the garden.

This is the perfect place for a relaxed, good value for money, meal. The grounds are well cared for, creating a relaxed atmosphere.The food is always good, no matter what you order.This is the sort of place that you could spent the better part of the day without realizing it!

Beautiful setting under enormous trees for an outdoor lunch. Accommodated 11 of us for a big family day out. Staff was very friendly & helpful - even moving us indoors when the winter chill set in which was also beautifully decorated. Food was delicious and portions generous.

Find alternate accommodation: The restaurant was amazing, which redeems this from a 1 star rating!The mattress shouldve been replaced some time ago; dipping toward center made for a truly uncomfortable nights rest. The towels also were a years past due replacement by look/feel.Rising damp on the wall between headboards and general feel of room not being hygienically kept.Experienced 5 power outages Sunday morning, though generator kicks in immediately, it has the effect of reduced water pressure which is highly annoying while in the shower.Id go visit the restaurant again, though...

Incredible food and ambience

Susan and Memory really looked after us. We had our very own room, so very private and personal. The burgers, melanzane and baked Camembert all got top marks. For pudding, the white chocolate creme brulee was the best weve had.

Awesome breakfast in an awesome setting. Highly recommend.
