Its such an improvement from 4 years ago! I was completely gobsmacked by the changes!!! Loved the Marsala Veal from here, tasted incredible! Will be coming back to sample more meals, because the service we received was excellent ☆Also, the aesthetics are pinterest-levels of beautiful! (Would love to see more real plants added to the collection 😅)

My family went through to the market at the Italian club in Bedfordview on Friday night. Once we had finished we wanted to eat at SetteBello. We were really looking forward to this great experience that we have heard of however we were treated with complete arrogance and unhelpful attitude. All their tables were reserved (which is fine) but the service we got when asking about a table was disgusting. Not only this we were made to feel as we were beggers and not welcome at all and we were literally ushered out of the restaurant.There were 5 of us, and we were all completely stunned by the action that was taken. On top of this we had not made a scene and we were polite through out this whole experience.I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever eat there.We did eventually land up at an amazing restaurant in Benoni that had the most amazing food and service with an incredible vibe. Toninos out did SetteBello in every area of what service is all about.

Very good food but pricy if compared to the greek, german and portuguese clubs. But they do you use imported produce. Nice veal selection.

An absolute awesome venue, we celebrated my daughters birthdays. What a fabulous, fantastic place. Highly recommend 👌

The most authentic, delicous Italian food in Johannesburg! We have been there on multiple occasions and the food, service and atmosphere is consistently amazing!! On our last visit, the restaurant was packed to the rafters, but they still managed to pull off great sevice, we didnt wait long for our drinks, starters or mains. They also did not drop the ball on food quality either, bravo. My absolute favorite food on a very difficult to decide menu, is the gorgonzola gnocchi. It is like eating pillows of heaven, yum! What a special place! The Aperol Spritz is also R 20 less than most establishment in Jhb and I mixed to perfection. Overall excellent value for money!

Great atmosphere especially for a family lunch or dinner

Its been 7 years since I was last at the Italian Club and I was blown away. If you havent been since the renovations it is definitely worth a visit. The food was amazing and the menu extensive and authentic (and VERY well priced). The friendly staff and great atmosphere they have created just adds to the whole dining experience. I will definitely be back!

Lovely open restaurant with industrial type setting in the grounds of the Italian Club. Food is scrumptious authentic Italian style! Good setting to cater to large tables of people. I enjoyed a large sized pizza, while others at my table enjoyed their pasta dishes too.

Great setting with lively ambience. Terry looked after our table and was always on hand to help. Great spot to meet friends and chill.

Traditional Italian pizza, pasta and salads made from imported wheat. Owner was on the floor maintaining standards. Well decorated, full of people life and vibe. Youre in for a great day out!

Outstanding venue. My only complaint is bad service which probably means they are understaffed. I just want it to be known that our waiter was A1 but obviously just had too many tables to attend to... Nothing wrong with his attitude or service at all. He obviously cannot be everywhere at once.

Went a 21st birthday party. The food was awesome. The service was great, considering the place was busy with 6 birthday parties. Most of all the atmosphere was Italian at its best.

We used to be regulars until yesterday. Since they took over the place was great, but things started to become worse. Yesterday I ordered pork chops, menu states 2 x 150gr, I get only one, my wifes meal came 10 min after my meal. I complained to the person who brought it and he said sorry Im a runner and just work here and left, we saw our waiter 30min later and called the manager who also knows us. He told me they had to make so many pizzas, the kitchen was busy and what not, like Im interested as to what is happening in their kitchen and then he tells me theres a mistake on the menu and that was it. What a joke really, food and have service deteriorated a lot since the beginning

Went for my Son in Law birthday and was Great. They sang Haopy Birthday to him in Italian, lovely. I had Grilled Hake and Chips first class. E eryone else had a great time. OH ICE CREAM. NICE!!!!

If you looking for a truly awesome authenticly made pizza, then this is the place, but be prepared for above average price, this is to be expected, as they use are imported ingredients. Highly recommended

What an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed our relaxing lunch with friends.

Terrible service!One persons food was served before we even got the bread basket, meaning he had to eat it quickly before it got cold while the rest of us waited another 20 minutes for our food. Our drinks order was taken once on arrival, thats it. We were basically ignored for the rest of the night after our orders had been taken. Its such a pity as the setting is beautiful, but we will not be going back.

Quite disappointing. Visited for the first time last week. We were invited for a birthday party. The service was slow and it seemed that there wasn’t enough staff around. We waited for everything - drinks took forever to arrive, the food arrived without cutlery. Large sharing bowls of pasta placed on the table without plates, serving spoons or cutlery present. By the time these were brought to the table the food was already cold. Some of the pastas were also undercooked. On the whole we did not enjoy the food. The pizzas were not at all the Neapolitan pizzas that we expected. The website says ‘the best Neapolitan pizza in Joburg’ - they didn’t live up to this claim. The restaurant was packed and I feel that the kitchen and servers could not cope with that number of guests. The only positive was the helpful attitude of one of the runners, who tried his best to get us our orders. We’ll give them another try when it’s not so busy.

Had a glorious day sitting outside by the lawn yesterday. Beautiful restaurants and good service. We were a big group and ended up tasting a lot of the menu options. Food had mixed reviews. Pizza was phenomenal! The kids even ate their crust which they normally dont. Amazing base, very flavourful tomato base delish stretchy mozzarella! Excellent steak and fish dishes and the arancini balls, fried squid and tiramisu deserve a special mention. Pasta and veal was just ok and gnocchi was good but cold when we received it. Overall a great day out.

Overall the experience here is good. Great space for families with kids and a bustling inside section that gets pretty vibey. The speed of service is pretty disappointing but when the food comes its typically good. Ive ordered the burrata here a few times and have been bitterly disappointed every time - not creamy and had a strange chemical after taste. Such a shame alongside other delicious antipasti. 3.5 stars would be my vote.

We went there for a 30th birthday celebration and we were in a separate room to have our celebration. It was wonderful and very private. The staff is very friendly and willing to assist. The food is so fresh and delicious. Well definitely be back for their pizzas.

Great atmosphere & food.

I visited your restaurant at the beginning of the week. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic - Friendly, warm and very helpful! However, I was incredibly concerned as we are currently in the middle of Covid-19 and I noticed management was not wearing their masks throughout the night. I was quite surprised and strongly believe that these protocols should be adhered to.

Great day atmosphere and market. Food is good just lacks taste in allot of their dishes.. ie salt garlic flavor. But very nice. Chicken is the best bet and pizzas are good .
