Raw food. Bad service and a waiter that really struggles with a simple instruction. Disappointment is my take away.

The Baron Bedfordview gets a 5-Star rating for me fir service - by far the best treatment I have ever had and they have become our familys favorite restaurant. Thank you to Presh and her Manager, Fiona on Saturday, they went above and beyond to make sure we had enjoyed our time there.

I am the manger at The Bedford View Guest House. I recommend The Baron to my guest who ordered liver and onions through Mr D. The order was wrong and cold. This was so embarrassing for me and totally acceptable. I have taken photos of the food and will be going to the Baron tomorrow for an explanation. Very disappointing.

Nice place to chill as a family or friends. The food and desert was divine. We had baron platter to share for 4 and it was enough for everyone as well as affordable.

Although the place had about 8 tables with 2-4 guests and about 4 waitresses, it took more than 14min before I was assisted. Then it took even longer before my order was taken.I could understand the rate of service on a busy night but not on a normal semi-quiet evening. So service could definitely be improved.Also none of my leftover sauce was added to my take-aways so maybe customers could be asked if theyd like it added or not.

After frequenting all the other restaurants in the centre we finally decided to give The Baron a try. Boy was it worth it! Their specialty steak was nothing short of spectacular, a must-try.The setting was a bit sombre and the pricing is a tad expensive.

The Baron was a totally wrong choice for a special family occasion. Our evening was ruined. First the cocktails we ordered was tasteless, the Managers excuse was that the blender was leaking. Ordered 2 portions of snails which was over salty, not even the Chef was able to eat it. The Calamari in Peri Peri Garlic sauce was sour and tasted off, my child fell ill after eating it. By then we were so exhausted from the service we recieved and complaining, we paid the bill and left. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are celebrating a momentous occasion.Disappointed by the service.

Nice place. I enjoyed time here. Food is good, nice clean place, indoor and outdoor sitting options. Only one thing, watering service is not that good. They talk nicely, they serve nicely but They are in hurry to take away your plate. I saw it 3-4 times during my visit.Other than that all is good.

The one thing that I was most impressed with was the service. As with any restaurant when things go wrong, it is all about how the situation is managed and to what lengths the staff will go to make things right. In our case when the meat was not cooked as requested, a fresh new plate was preapared. As well as seating arrangement and other requests. Food was also great.

Food was very good. Sadly the restaurant was quiet not the usual buzz we are used to at the Baron on a Thursday night. Staff super friendly and efficient. Overall very good night out.

The service was quick and lovely. Manager very helpful. The food was Perfect!!

Very large place and takes it to be full to create a cosy atmosphere. Was dead when we were there. The service is okay. Walked into the bathroom and there was a huge roach by the door. I asked the waiter to ask the cleaner to take it away. Nothing was done after the third time asking.

Wasnt very busy on Friday nite, but the service was good. Good food

The Baron has a beautiful menu with delicious food. From 12 delicious salads that can do you wonders if you looking for a light starter to the most delicious stake menu in the world! You simply have to eat there if you love delicious food served with great ambiance. It is almost serves as a very romantic setting.

Classy spot for family or business dining. Great selection from the grill and other options also available. Good wine selection. Smoking and non smoking areas with bar. Calm atmosphere with prompt and friendly service. Very nice restaurant for an evening out.

Great venue, great location, but the music from the 50s is just terrible, and many customers have been complaining about the same thing. I am sure you would have 30% more clients if you addresses this 1 issue.

Fantastic steak house. A little expensive, but it feels a more upmarket than the Spur and the food is miles better.

Terrible experience. Steak was sent back multiple times and never cooked to order. Such a pity as this was a gem in Bedfordview. Came to eat lunch and ended up eating my side of mash only 🤐

Food here is great! Lively atmosphere and plenty of seating. Service was really good and we got our food really quick even though there was a big party happening. My only complaint is that we were seated right next to the party who were setting off loud confetti shooters that triggered my anxiety. Although this wasnt the restaurants fault, it did sour the evening a bit. Its hard to enjoy your food and conversation with loud bangs happening next to you. They should consider placing parties separately from other patrons.

Really great food. Enjoyed a gourmet burger with a decent size of deep fried chips and onion rings. Bread was so fresh and the sauces are great. The venue turned into a mini club later on and we had decent numbers with some flashing lights to get the vibe going.

We had excellent service and a great meal. It was cold outside and the restaurant was lovely and warm . The toilet facilitates were clean and well apointed.A good wine list and a play area for children. I will happily return for another meal.

I dont know if this is the same restaurant that is called The Windmill but if it is then it is worth the visit.The food was served in record time and it was good quality food.The staff know what they are doing and are quick.You can see that they have had good training.Well done to management.Lastly,be warned it is very popular but with the quick service and large eating area you are in and out in no time

Visited the Barron again recently, was very pleased to find quality is back to what it was previously, had a great steak, service was very tentative and quick, will definitely be back again soon.

UPDATE: 5 out of 5 starsAfter previously giving this establishment 3 out of 5 stars, I was contacted by the manager/owner of the establishment, Brenden, to return for a follow up dining experience. Its not everyday that a restaurant owner/manager admits the establishments faults and takes steps to correct them but thats exactly what Brenden did. Congratulations. Lisa, our waitress, was amazing! The food was amazing...the ambience and overall experience was fantastic. And the reason for our return, the blueberry cheesecake, was the cherry-on-top. By far the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. And Ive tasted many! Congratulations to you Brenden and may both you and your staff grow from strength to strength. Definitely in my top 5 favourite dining places.Went for dinner last night with my bf. Beautiful space I must admit. However, we were seated at a tiny table right next to the bar area and as romantic as it was the space was actually cramped. The fireplace structure wouldve taken out our heads had we not moved our table. The music, as cool as it was, was far too loud. We couldnt even hear each other talk. No jokes. Great food. I ordered a blueberry cheescake to go. Strange taste between old curdled milk and semi-sweet berries. Wont recommend that to anyone.

Had New years dinner with friends and kitchen provided quality meals to a full restaurant. Just a pity the smoking section isnt correctly isolated so you have to tolerate cigarette odour. If not for this would give 5 stars.

Good atmosphere.

We received menus to look at when we got there, but, nobody came to serve us, even after an hour of sitting at a table. No waiter nearby for us to even try to get their attention even though we shouldnt have to try to get a waiter to come and serve us. We walked out of the restaurant and went to support another restaurant.

Great place to be on a Friday night. Great music is played, all the hits ranging from oldies to the latest chart toppers. The snack platter for two offers great value for barside snacks and off menu I really recommend the stuffed calamari which is amazing, however this is more of a steak kind of place. They have a very wide drink selection and even serve non-alcoholic beers. DJ starts quite late - around 9 or 10 ish. Before that its still the dinner crowd.

Great food, divine oxtail stew, however, very expensive for what they offer.
