Excellent Service. Spoke with Ivan who is willing to go the extra mile to accommodate my moms food allergies and prepare a special serving of veg for her. Will definitely order here again when we are in town

The staff was on point. They came regularly to see if everything is still fine. The food looked good and Im not really one to complain, but there were a bit to much fat on my meat.

It was a little different to the Spurs in Cape Town, in terms of food and the presentation of the food. It was a difference I enjoyed very much. Our waitress Kelly (aka Rihanna) was very friendly.

Sat on table 24 on Sunday. Food took 50 min to arrive for plain old burgers. Manager fights loudly with staff in the back. The whole atmosphere stinks. Go to the Spur in York Street much better experience.

I was there few weeks ago with my family.. We truly enjoyed the food, was layed out so lovely (special breakfast), service was spot on.. Clean all around. Even when we came last time it was busy yet still spot on in holidays. Thank you spur, will come again next time we in area on holiday.

Ordered the Manhattan steak medium. This was a superb piece of steak exactly as ordered, soft and tender when bitten. Great service as well from waiter.

SPUR, never again!!!I just don’t know what to say. Spur became such a terrible restaurant.Because we have kids, we’re always looking for restaurant with playground and during our holidays JHB – CT – George, we visited 3 Spurs ( 1 in Beaufort West , 1 in Cape Town and today Spur in garden route mall)I was very hungry by the time when we get to restaurant, it means I can eat pretty everything, but those pork ribs that we ordered were just disgusting, my wife haven’t even touched it, it smells terrible. I asked to pack them for the dogs in our hotel. The restaurant itself was crowded, but dirty.It is ideal for the people who wants to become vegetarians, you come to SPUR and you will quickly forget about meat.

High price and below average meals, but after my initial review the manager Micheal called and apologized and really tried to set this right even after my review was posted a week after my initial visit (This was unexpected to say the least). At the time I did not complain at the store, but I can at least guarantee anyone going to this Spur will receive a personal touch from the manager should anything be wrong with the meal. I do still feel Spur is generally overpriced, but I will occasionally visit just for the level of customer service Michael has shown.

Out of season the service is outstanding, ( orders taken correct and swiftly) however during the busy times it seems that even some of the more experienced waiters struggle to keep up. Food is always up to standard.I always come back for more.

Quite possibly my best Monday Burger Special experience. Big portions and beautifully plated.

This is the worst spur I have ever been to. All the food tastes like it was drenched in petrol before being served. The fries still taste frozen . The onion rings were the only part of my meal I enjoyed.

Whilst on holiday I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant. The rating I have given it is due to a number of factors. On the whole this store out performed others and set a standard that other Spurs should aim for.5 lots of the unreal breakfast were ordered with bar one milkshakes. The milkshakes had notably more chocolate sauce. Each order containing toast had its own side plate and was wrapped in a serviette to keep it warm and moist plus it contained a butter knife (not done at previously visited Spurs - piled on one plate, only steak knives available). The bacon was also notably more smokey than other Spurs visited to date.We also observed the Spurs signature happy birthday to one of the staff. This showed a good community in the staff and may have lead to the staffs smiles thought our visit.Additionally we received a goodbye and had the door opened for us as we departed.Thanks to Samantha (our server) and the rest of the team.Pros - Bathroom gave the options for both hand soap or sanitizer and paper towels or air dryersServers were friendly, this was observed across other tables and servers, not just ours.Individual side plates for each visitors toast.Cons - The manager didnt come visit us at the table (but he did say goodbye as we departed) - this was not a big deal as we were well looked after.I am aware this is not the same experience shared by all on google maps but the whole group I was with was very impressed.

Dear staff at Spur, Garden Route MallWe had lunch at your restaurant the day of our flight back to Johannesburg and my cell phone went missing. All the staff helped to look in every corner of the restaurant to try locate it; even taking the time to go through security footage. Everyone was very patient and understanding....After we had left in such disappointment, they had later found it and we got a call back from Tandi immediately. My little one had thrown it into another booth:). We sent couriers to collect to have it delivered to us back home and Tandi even went through the extent of wanting to verify that the company was indeed sent by us before handing the phone over. Thank you so much to you all for saving the day. It is indeed so stressful to loose a phone with all your personal data on it and thanks to you guys, we got it back!

Had an issue with a double debit on my Visa card,which after initial annoyance, was sorted out to my satisfaction by Spur. Food is always great,and I will continue to have family meals there.

After eating at this Spur for the past three years for at least once a week, I consider myself as part of their Spur family and an Spur fundy :-).Service: Managers and waitron staff; always ready to serve with a warm smile and willing to go that extra mile to please the guest.Food: Always tasty, good quantity and prepared to my requirements.Price: For the quality and quantity of food, good friendly service, price is not an issue, but the Spur is value for money.Do I sound bias? Who would not, be if you only had great food and brilliant service!

The service was fine. But instead of a chedda melt steak we go three minute steaks. My wife got the buffalo wings and calamari. The calamari was off and for the past 48 hours she has been violently ill. Considering the spur was packed the food was off.

Popped in on the way to a movie pleasant visit this time around thank you Spur always been a fav spot for good ribs and burgers

The service is an bit slower than last year 2017 when we visited. We sat down at the table and next to us there where also people coming in AFTER us. They got served before us. Our waiter was also serving them. The waiter was clearly into serving them the whole time and we where just another table in his eyes. My mother who is an pensioner orderd hake and chips. The hake was awfull. SMALL piece full of fish grate. My food make up for the 3 stars which was nice. Its almost season time and we are visitors from Cape town on holiday in George. Step up the service and get the waitors to do their job right please. Its not nice to right an review like this but the truth must be said. I dont want anybody to loose their job at all. But please get your act together
