We recently had lunch at Cafe Plus, a spot that has been going since about 2015. Simple, modern decor with seating inside and outside at the Green Valley Center.The owner Andreas has been in the food industry for as long as we can remember and weve had the pleasure of eating at most of his eateries including this one. They have a limited menu with a variety of cakes on offer which catches your eye as you enter.I decided on a Beef Burger with Cheese and Jalapeno. My mom had the Prego fillet Steak roll, and my sis had the Salmon breakfast called The PoachEverything was delicious, tasty and full of flavour. The Chips were HUGE and perfectly fried and spiced. My homemade beef patty was amazing, and the relish with Jalapeno and Cheese was the perfect combination along with some Prego sauce. My sisters Salmon and Poached eggs were good too and a really great portion size. Mom loved her steak roll and couldnt help praising them for the good quality if food presented.Also my Cappuccino with Cream was 😍☕Thandeka our waitress was friendly and on the ball. I was at this super little establishment today, following a week of unrest and looting in KZN and Gauteng, many folk have been too scared to visit Malls and Shopping Centres, so smaller restaurants have taken quite a knock. We are also facing another cold front, so it has been quite nippy out. Cafe Plus was quite busy tody, in fact whilst I was there, observing Covid-19 protocols, especially insofar as only utilising 50% of available floorspace, it looked like they were at capacity! Having to keep fresh air flowing to minimise the threat of infection, they still managed to keep customers warm with large heaters strategically placed and a cheerful atmosphere, which one picks up immediately when greeted by a happy faced waitron which is evident even through the face masks... true smiles are seen in all areas of the face!.. This was seen on the faces of all the staff I encountered, who are friendly, helpful and efficient! They have quite a range on the menu, catering to all manner of tastes and good value for money.I had one of their bright, nicely presented and appetising breakfasts, hitting the spot perfectly - which I am fairly certain are available throughout the day... (I may have to update that - a good excuse to have to go back!). Ive previously had a couple of their wide range of daily fresh bakes, which were scrumptious! I will definitely be back and can highly recommend it. Due to it being so busy and time constraints, I didnt take any pics or videos, but I will add some shortly. For service, Id give them a 5 star. The food is not bad. I had a chicken burger which I found very salty - which, coming from me is hectic as I love salt. Also noticed they allow people to vape inside the restaurant which is not only illegal but unpleasant. Has a very noisy atmosphere so if youre after a quiet cuppa - this is not the place.

Great little cafe, that serves the best steak sandwich on the eastrand. Treat yourself to a sugar free freezo. The chocolate freezo is deliciously decadent. Cafe Plus is an ideal spot to catch up on work while enjoying a meal. The waitresses are friendly and efficient.

Its simple, good place for a meeting if you are in the East Rand and it wont hurt your pocket....

Just had coffee, but it was very decent. Cappuccino was made well and not watered down.

Such an easy atmosphere. Love the jalapeño and cheese burger. The French toast with bacon is a miss but never been disappointed by anything else. Service really depends on who you get. The one guy is always friendly and attentive but some of the ladies not so much. Coffee is tasty!

Was very upset that non smoking legislation is totally disregarded. I had a light lunch last Saturday at Least Cafe and people were smoking on the walkways directly under no smoking signage. When I spoke to the store owner about this and expressed my concern I was told they are just trying to accommodate everyone. I even explained that I am a Health and Safety Manager and the law states No smoking withing 10 meters of an opening door or window I was met with a shrug of shoulders and a couldnt care less attitude. There were children and babies at the restaurant and the public has to walk directly past the smokers. Who are they really accommodating? Themselves and their smoking patrons. I am extremely disappointed and am reporting this to the Department of Health. Cant believe the attitude!!!
