The Landing has such delicious food! Everything they do they do well! Whether a toasted sandwich or pizza, or one of their cakes and coffee! The Landing is a favorite spot for my family to visit, and they also have the most divine deli with all sorts of nice treats

The deli has a lovely selection of things but you do pay a price. I have mentioned on two occasions that their cake and bread display needs changing as apart from being unhygienic the cakes dry out. Instead of addressing my comments on social media they simply hide my comments 😑

Amazing outside area, well spaced out. Good place to relax and enjoy good food. Feel tables should be served by waiters and not orders placed at counter before seating. Hopefully the containers with condiments are sterilized before being handed to next client. On the whole a relaxing time

WORST BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE!!Food that we did receive was good…..HOWEVER it’s really not worth the bad service!Coffee orders “forgotten about” then mixed up.Scone received without cream or extra cheese ordered.Food eventually received before the drinks came through.One meal was sent back 2x because they did not note the order correctly on more than one occasion.Extremely unfriendly place to visit!

I only just started drinking coffee. Never liked it before. This is great coffee. No burning or bitter taste, the perfect cup everytime. Not many places get the basics right just because they have the fancy machines. Thank you for making my coffee experience a great one.

Average for the 1st visit, and only having coffee. Will need to visit again to get a better feel for the place. Would like to try out the bakery

Hi if your in the area please go and visit the bakery I would highly recommend them the bread is always fresh out of the oven. Even the coffee shop just across the Landing bakery is a must visit the vibe there is to die for the service is the best and staff is super friendly and kind.

Lovely spot. All our brakfast food was tasty and well prepared. Two issues for attention. My eggs were cooked hard. My sausage was raw in the middle. Easy fixed but requires attention.

My favourite place in the neighbourhood: a carefully chosen selection of food, veggies, cakes, dairy and snacks. The Landing also has great biltong, and some interesting ingredients that you dont see very often. And it is well run by friendly people.

Quiet little hidden gem of a coffee shop in Edenvale. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff.Great place to go for a quick coffee or for a full meal. The coffee was superb and the food is decent.The place has Wifi which is useful if you need somewhere to get a little work done.

We gave them short notice, but they managed to bake a great cake in time for us.😁 Very happy with the service and the cake. The shop is lovely too with free range products and cant wait to visit the little coffee shop.

We have been to the landing before multiple times about a year ago and only had pleasant experiences BUT in going there today we had hoped to have a wonderful time with our family only to first the served the wrong food and then when the rest of our food arrived it was ice cold. It seems that with the new Deli the Cafe side is completely neglected. This saddens me as this was a little gem.

Absolutely average. No seasoning in potato rosti. Perhaps a relish to accompany the bacon, egg and avo on rosti. Even bacon was bland. Eggs bennie too small for R90. Coffee good

A suggestion for an impovement on your pork pies would be to fill the inside void with pork jelly (gelatine). This will give it more taste and diminish the dry texture of the pastry. Pies are very good.

Prices a little above comparable items elsewhere

This is my local coffee shop. The staff are great. The owner however isn’t friendly or respectful to her staff. I’ve been buying my daily coffee here for a year almost everyday. Coffee prices and cake prices have doubled in a year. A latte with almond milk is now R50 a tiny slice of cake is R50. La Tazzina is around the corner where coffee is R36 and cake is R30 and the slice size is double.I really enjoy the landing but I feel that greed is ruing a beautiful restaurant.

The Landing is a lovely place to meet friends or clients. The service is always excellent and the food is good. It would be great if they could add to their breakfast menu as it is a little limited.

We were seated and then forgotten. 30min later we decided to get breakfast elsewhere.It definitely looks nice but service needs work.

Great service from all staff and our waiter Terrance was great. All staff greeted us and the cashier ran after me to give me change when she realised she overcharged on a bakery item. Lovely to have such honesty. Food was great too!!

The decoration is really modern and makes you feel welcomed there. The waiters are really friendly and helpful. I only had one issue and that was the food, I ordered a muffin and a croissant and I was not impressed with the size of them, they were too small compared to other places, for the price I was expecting something bigger, but they were both delicious. The smoothie I had was delicious and I had a good experience there, I will recommend it to a friend.

We went in with such high expectations. Only to be so so disappointed.Yes, it started out well, a lovely setting and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. But thats where it ended. There were a few small things but we gave you guys the benefit of the doubt. We ordered and after 30 minutes we were asked if we wanted to change the English muffin of the eggs Benedict because they would take another 10 minutes to finish up, we said we would wait rather. 30 minutes later and still no food and no updates on the food either. Eventually, a whole hour after we ordered the food came, the one dish was ice cold and the eggs Benedict was wrong (bacon instead of salmon). Thats when the manager came over. He said he would sort it all out, but when the cold food came back it was missing half of the items and the English muffins were completely raw! After all this time, they were raw! So we sent those back and changed them for different dishes. I must say, the food that they did get right was not bad.On the way out we had to find the manager, and when confronted all he said was that maybe we should write a review and put out waiters name in. After the experience we had (I havent even said everything) a review should have been that last thing he wanted us to do! The situation was handled so terribly!

This place has the potential to be a really great meeting place. Not quite there yet. Although the service is friendly the service and waiting period for drinks and food could be improved quite a bit. An ice-coffee should not take 20 minutes. The food was average. My BLT sandwich came with toasted rye bread which was very tough and hard. No condiments offered as well which made our meal a little dry. It would be nice to sit under large umbrellas when sitting in the garden rather than in the sun because the tree cover is limited. Jack up the few things mentioned and you become a winning venue to meet and eat.

Good and coffee excellent but service staff let the rating drop. Basic attention and focus on watering staff not good enough. Had to ask for glasses for softdrinks and a coffee saucer was even cleared whilst the person was still drinking their coffee!

I had heard a lot about this place and it didnt meet my expectations. The food is too expensive for what they offer. If it was 20% cheaper it would be great.

Great coffee, cake and lunches. Super friendly staff, quick service and a loyalty card! I can also use my Keep Cup (reusable cup) so they get extra points for that.This is my go-to morning coffee spot - in and out in less than 10mins. Everytime.

Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Edenvale. Great coffee, croissants and staff. Open from 06:30 - for all you early birds.

Convenient location and the menu is good. Portions made me chuckle though. The price for a pie and salad was R60 and the pie was about 50mm diameter. Ive seen bigger watches. Tasty though

Poor service and really poor burger. My sandwich was good and coffee. 40 minutes to deliver luke warm food. Waiter left for lunch and said another waiter would take over. He did nothing. He did produce the bill and card machine eagerly waiting for is tip.

Besides a lovely atmosphere, the waiting staff is wonderfully welcoming as well as professional. Their coffee is probably the best I have had since moving to JHB. They are open and serving breakfast at 6:30, with a wonderful, healthy menu.And during these load-shedding times, they have free WiFi and enough space inside and out to cater for all types.

Had an great meal but their operating times dont make sense. They close at 3pm, stop serving their lunch menu, and then open again at 5pm, and start serving a dinner menu, which is pretty much the same kind of stuff they have on their lunch menu. For example, the chicken and avo salad is only sold during lunch and their ceaser salad is only sold during dinner. How difficult would it be to sell both for the entire day? Its essential a cafe with basic meals no more complex than your average Mugg & Bean. Also why the break in service between lunch and dinner, this is JHB, its not as if their kitchen staff can go anywhere in that period, or that they have to prep for some massively complex dinner service.
