Fresh fruits and vegetables, always well stocked. They employ more foreigners. Everyday they have special prices at the cheap and affordable rate.

Ever gone shopping but felt if only this place was larger; get a few ankle-trolley incidents you will understand this feeling. Im sure I unwillingly and unintentionally gave and received 10 ankle bumps in about 20 minutes I spent inside. Crowd control is a temporary measure as everyone is eager to get in, buy and go.

Very stocked up today. Could do to get new trollys or maintain the ones they have,very hard to drive them I a straight line.

The best place to get farm produce

Its an experience to go to the market. Its only for the adventurous. Best to go go early from 6 to 10am. That is when you will get the best fruit. The earlier the better. Best days are Tuesday to Friday. Prices are alot cheaper than your local store. Be prepared to buy in bulk. So a bag of potatoes, box of apples etc and split it with another family. Watch of for the guys pulling the trolleys. It is bustling with activity. Dont go after lunch as most of the stalls are closed. Sunday is closed.

Boughy a pocket of soft cooking potatoes was not what I expected did not enjoy eating it

There are many complications and payments that should be paid by the host and the suppliers, it is extremely busy. But what I liked is how friendly everyone is 🙂. The security of not carrying cash really makes the queues fast.

Items r well presented and displayed.items are reasonably priced.

Arrive at 5am if you want the widest variety of the freshest fruit. Take cash along with you as they dont swipe. Their payment system of loading cash on a card is tedious and I personally was cheated of about R150, so be vigilent about the amounts the vendors are swiping off your card. Other than that, your money definitely goes a long way at this market.
