The place is the best for Fresh fruit and Veg produce. They are affordable and there is good value for money. But as for public restrooms, they are not visible and they are very limited.

Things were affordable but unfortunately I was mugged within that vicinity and my friends wedding rings were taken at knife point. Please be careful when walking the streets.

The area around is very dodgy and can stress you out but the market itself is worth the thrill. There are many merchants with authentic products

Review №19

A place to get all your traditional attires, ngoba you wont find it e Gateway 😂😂.Its very clean, great spot itlf you got friends out of the country coming to visit Durban. My friends from Botswana loved it, yes and I left with an empty pocket because he had to get every thing aiy.Different stalls with different items and colors to suit your taste. They also have a secure undercover parking which can be accessed via Queen street. The parking on Victoria Street is a nightmare, dont even bother trying to find parking outside of the market.

It a great market but there is not place to park if you are driving, it better of you can leave a car somewhere and walk to the market.

A place that sells foods must be clean and maintain a standard of cleanliness. We can understand its a Fish Market. However the areas that Patrons walk through must be Clean and healthy.

Small market, better said, a flea market. A little bit dirty and not completely safe. Watch out your pocket around the market. You can fine from spices, crafts and cheap clothes. If you don’t go you are not missing anything.

Local Tourism is picking up slowly. The market needs to open fully. Some stall holders are very friendly but a few are very stubborn and unfriendly. They have that take it or leave it attitude cus of covid19 stress. The security are friendly and very vigilant. I must get more local tourists to this Victoria Street Market to assist our traders. Quite a safe to visit but within the walls of the market.

Nk
Review №68

It is one of the busiest places in the CBD. It is not easy to find parking space, drivers park even on the middle of the road. There is a lot of unnecessary traffic caused by small cars parking in the loading area which result in goods vehicles offloading on the middle of the road
