A magnificent cafe serving good food, coffees and a range of other drinks. Its offering of a play gym for the kids, an art gallery and a shop that sells almost anything easily makes this a must go place for the family. As the HQ of the KZN Arts Society, the associated activities including art classes and music events gives the place the unique buzz that befits the Durban weather. An all round winner.
Highly recommended, a nice quite place and good coffee
Good food. Although I came in Sunday just after 1pm, most of their menu items were finished - I suppose they had a busy service before I came
In our endless search for good coffees we are often faced with the multiplicity of definitions of what a flat white and cappuccino are. Thankfully Arts Cafe puts what they mean by this in their menu. And so we ordered the cappuccino- which according to us is a flat white - but now we knew what we were getting. The coffee was great and paired with a definitely-to-share chocolate cheesecake was a great combo.
Shady and cool. Perfect for mid morning tea & cake. Very helpful waiter Pieta
Lovely venue. Toasted chicken mayo was not good. Almost no chicken inside at all. Fries with aioli were good and fresh.
Awesome breakfast and lovely atmosphere....
Good day,I am a big fan of Arts CafΓ© and always brag about it to my friends especially those who are outside Durban.I am however unhappy that you discontinued selling scones. We were informed that they will be back once the pandemic eases up but it is still not available.Today I phoned to order deboned chicken thigh salad as I normally phone before coming because I know that it takes longer to prepare. I was shocked to hear that you no longer provide this salad. We know that it takes longer as waitresses always tell us when we order, it has never stopped us from ordering it. Kindly reconsider the decision, please.Regards,Nontobeko
Excellent coffee, delicious food and a great place for kids. Decent variety on the menu. Parking is normally not an issue and it is pram and wheelchair friendly. Pop into the shop and the gallery on the way out to check for any goodies. Perfect spot for lazy breakfasts. ππͺ
Outside, airy, delish food, specially the carrot cake.
Very relaxed and pleasant experience.
Great food, however the breakfast menu is quite small
I love sitting out under the trees, the service is good, the food is good, the atmosphere is relaxing and the shop is a treasure trove.
Such a pity that they close the kitchen so early on a Sunday
Tiny portions. This place needs a new menu, and a complete overhaul.
Good coffee. Lovely Brownie. Chilled atmosphere
Delicious light lunch at NSA with friends! Selected the veg option from the light bites.....yummy! The shop and gallery are full of lovely gift options for Christmas
Average Cafe setting. Would be nice to actually have some artwork around you though, walls are as bare as my table was for 30 minutes while we waited for our order.Food is average which would have been okay if we hadnt paid above average prices for it.We recieved excellent service though. Well done on that part.
A landmark of KZN and Durban, an absolute must-go for travellers and locals alike. Fantastic breakfast and lunch fare and amazing coffee drinks. Fresh food cooked to perfection, including Eggs Benedict/Onassis. Kiddos love the outdoor play area, and childminders are on duty from 9am on the weekends. My family spends many hours each week here!
Very nice venue. Kind and nice staff.
3 of us had a breakfast and all 3 choices were amazing. Highly recommend.
Shop has a great selection if Woza Moya dolls. Cafe - the coffee milkshake and carrot cake compliment each other perfectly on a hot day.
Great selection of drinks and foods with a very chill and classy (as in cultured) atmosphere. My favorite is the Buddha bowl: exquisite!
Authentic Durban art scene away from suburban mediocrity. Trees, good food and i inspiration. A well curated Art Space.
Nice venue with good coffee good meals great service
Good food, good service and pleasant outdoor surroundings.
Unpleasant. I just walked out of the restaurant. We placed an order for 2 Beef, bacon and mushroom burgers and the waitress brings us 2 chicken and avo burgers. After returning it she then places our correct order again which was pushed back into the normal queue when in fact it was their error and should have been attended to with urgency. We waited over 30 minutes after retuning the wrong order. The manager just stared at us on the 2 occasions that he made himself present. It was so evident it would have been stupid if we missed it that if we were white we would have received our order correctly and on timeThanks for the unpleasant experience. We will be sure to share it with every one we know..
Good food under the trees... lovely
Always Good
Fabulous friebdly staff. Excellent choice of meals and refreshments. Indoor / outdoor restuarant. Gift shop with excellent south african crafts. An ever changing art gallery. Loads of parking.
Nice place friendly waitrons but a little slow and could be a little more observant with attending to customers. It wasnt that busy but it took a while to be served.
