Menu range good Portuguese steak surf & turf. Vegetables side orders. Liquor license. Parking with car guards.

Attend our year end staff function there. The food was decent, but sadly thats the only good thing I can say about it. The location isnt the best, no atmosphere, no decor. The service was poor. Waiters and waitresses werent very tentative to us diners. I had to drink coke all through lunch as the had to stock of the local R & R nor did they have any Southern comfort. No effort was made to get any from the nearest bottle store either. Wont be going back anytime soon.

Where did you move to?

Good tasting food, but everything literally swimming in butter soup style. Not sure, since I never met a person who eats melted butter and dishes have dozens of spoons of it. Remove it and everything will taste 100% better

Nice looking enclosed patio area serving as main seating for restaurant..facing the road. Not really a place I would recommend. The food (I had prawns) was over cooked not great at all.

I got the calamari tentacles, King prawns and peri peri chicken... The calamari was great, the prawns spectacular... Chicken was OK, a little dry for my liking. The place is great and the service is very good.

Most disappointing evening! This has been one of my favourite places but tonight was shocking! No calamari, no prawns, no wine, no coke and no more personality, Im very sorry to say they will not see us again.

Never disappointed at Neo Cafe!!!Standing order: chorizo trinchado with toasted bread wedges, Portuguese flamed grilled chicken, Cajun baked potato wedges, mains.Hidden in back scenes of the beach front, shadows of decadence displayed and delivered on food and service.The only pub so far where the Barman bought us a round!!!Cheers!!!The informal ambience at Neos gives its signature, where everything is out in the open as your meal is being prepared, transparency, resulting into a scrumptious dish.Bon appetite!!!

Ive always been a fan of Neos. Ate there regularly, neos was an institution. However and Sadly in the last 2 months food has been a disappointment. Chicken, prawns has been dry over cooked. Flavors and sauces not the same. Starters dont taste like they use too. Limited wine, mixers, beer and certain items not available off the menu. Something is wrong. Not sure Ill go back. Hope things turn around.

Neo cafè reminds me of a simple Mozambiquan sea side restaurantThe Waitress was efficient and friendly. As we sat down the menus appeared and our drinks came pretty quick!The ambiance was lovely. The music was not too loud. And not a wiff of smoke anywhere! The place has the aroma of chilli and garlic! Its fantastic!Food was good the chicken was prepared to perfection! Only complaint is the amount of margarine in the sauce that it came with.Dessert, we had a banana creme brulé the texture was fantastic! The flavour was too artificial for me but thats just my pallet, if you like banana liquor, youll love it! The creme caramel was over done, thats all Ill say about that.Over all, Ill come back! I really enjoyed it!Also.... we didnt wear shoes... they ignored it;)

Love this place, nice friendly staff...for starters i had chorizo (Portuguese sausage) cooked in garlic butter followed by a full Mozambique grilled peri-peri chicken which was expertly cooked. Looking forward to my next meal there...

BEST PORTUGUESE RESTAURANT IN DURBAN.JULIO is a hands on owner that even clean tables and he is present at all times. He knows the game and talks to patrons. Only the best service and his Mozambique half chicken is a winner.very tasty and tender for the ones that prefer poultry. Also have a special running for king prawns , langustines and other seafood. BOOKING ESSENTIAL but you will not regret it. So , before spending lots of money, book a table and see for yourself. Plenty parking and trusworthy car gaurds.
