I recently went into green bean to purchase a bag of beans. And when i asked the young coloured guy the 2 basis questions (which is ur freshest beans?) (And which of the 3 blends is the most popular?) i was met with a very disinterested attitude. He gave the most disinterested answer (They all popular). Which in my experience working with coffee and a couple coffee companies there is always 1 blend that sells more. So will never buy from green bean again. Service was highly lacking. And the coffee did not meet my standards either, lacked the most basic of elements the creme. I have used store bought beans which had 3 times more creme and double the flavour.

Best coffee in the world, fantastic (air-conditioned) coffee shop!Im down rating to 4-stars though, because you can never pay for anything (and I mean the last two times Ive been in 2020) - no Zapper, no Cards, never have change! Crazy.Owners, please speak to your staff if you think Im wrong about the paying.

Hands down, best coffee in Durban. This is one of Durbans hidden gems! Its a small venue with a cozy, friendly atmosphere. If you are passionate about coffee, The Bean Green will become your new home. Freshly home-baked sweet and savory food on offer, but sometimes, there is no food available if limited options sell out. Awesome staff always serve with a smile!

Great coffee, more of a dark roast, if you enjoy that. Few light snack options available. There is relatively fast Internet available too. A great touch is that they only play music from a record player, hard to find these days!

Customer service is the only thing to be worked on, especially the guy needs some training on how to treat all customers the same way as well as not lash out on his co-workers in front of us cuctomers sitting there. Other than that, their coffee is one of the best in town...if not in the country, and the setup and the environment...very homely. I love it, and will definitely continue to go there for as long as I’m in town!!!

Best coffee in Durban, hands down! Awesome group of baristas manning the machine, and an interesting and diverse crowd of patrons (wouldnt expect much else from a Glenwood coffee shop!). I regularly stop off for a cappuccino on my way to work, and also purchase almost of all the coffee (whole beans and pre-ground) I consume at home from them.

One of the few great spaces to get some work done, while enjoying some of the best coffee blends in the country. If you looking for a great cup of Ethiopian coffee they will no doubt deliver and there are usually some tasty snacks on hand. They have their priorities straight, putting out the best espresso shots and the store has a relaxed atmosphere, youll feel right at home. Take home a bag of Bluff Bru, you wont regret it!

Bean Green is a truly amazing experience, it provides you with a space to truly free your mind. When you arrive there ask for Rory he is an amazing Barista and knows how to make the perfect cup of coffee along with a sandwich better than your mom used to. Dont forget the free wifi at this amazing spot, just making freeing your mind that much easier. Great value for your coin.

They have the best coffee grounds to purchase from! I recommend the African espress-oh! They will grind coffee fresh for you and for a decent price. What needs to be improved is their customer service as their staff seem very unresponsive and unhappy and make it seem like you inconvenienced them when you want to order something.

Being 68 and out of hospital for a a Cardiac procedure, I am a little dithery I went there to purchase baking goods, then remembered I wasnt carrying enough to pay for the extras in my basket I parked it, grabbed my delivery tray (I bake for a local store) as I walked through The Pnp exit area I realized something had jammed in the handle of my tray Being Latish to get my Granddaughters I saw it the small pk of B Powder Id put in my basket I took it off and placed it in the trolley bay A security guy came after me, wouldnt accept my explanation, and insisted I one with him He actually blocked my path My embarrassment was more than I can describe I followed him to the management office where they discussed whether to arrest me but then said I was too old Management is in a public space and Im a regular at the shop I had never been so humiliated After writing a (prevention) they let me go My daughter was Furious and told them The stress of that day has given me a phobia of the shop I shop more elsewhere now Pity I liked pnp

Durban has been late in joining the specialty coffee scene but the catch up was fast. This place is cosy, always good music and friendly baristas. The coffee overall is great, baristas well trained and consistent. The clincher is the ambiance, laid back music that is not excessively loud and wifi that allows good productivity. This is one of Durbans best.
