Nice place to watch a sporting event. If they were to invest in making good food then it would be amazing. I suppose the food tastes good when one is drunk.π€·πΎββοΈ
They serve a great variety of delicious HOT food. Great atmosphere. It seems like the popular choice to sit outside on the deck in the summer time. If there isnt any space, there is an indoor area. If youre fussy about service, then it may be a let down. Quite a lot of flies around as well. We were promised a candle which never came. Otherwise, fantastic place for the foodies ππΌ
Great atmosphere had thee best lamb curry ever. Did I mention the service excellente.
Always good smashing dops with the braz
The best place to get chip and cheese rotis in Durban.
This curry made me sing for my lunch, they make tasty, chili and delicious go together like peanut butter and jam sandwichesπ₯π₯ yum, after a long drive this kind of meal feels like mothers love. You can sit and eat the or takeaway. Whatever choice you make the food is deliciously presented. Yummy yum yum
Always great vibes. Food is good. I just didnt like the idea of walking down stairs to get to the toilet and up again to get back to my table.
Best chip and cheese rotis Ive had, also is a very generous portion. Always keeps me going for at least 2 full days. And amazing curries!
The poorest quality chicken bunny I have ever eaten. Food was well below average with prices on the higher end. Worth a miss.
Good service but its a NO for the kebab bunny!!!!!!
Had a 1/4 lamb bunny and it was very delicious, quite pricey but I would honestly say itβs worth it
Great tasting food. Huge portions. Loved everything
Very delicious chips and cheese roti. Decent size portion. My mum and split a large. However more attention needs to be paid to cleaning and sanitation of the utensil holder and ensure the paper napkins are clean before being placed on the tables
I had jaegerbombs and a huge roti.. lovely stuff
A Flavourful part of this town.
Quick curries, and super huge portions. Order to share, especially the roti curry.
Currently at the restaurant with my friends. Weve been sitting here for 45min and not a single waiter has approached us to even give us menus!!!!Update :Someone finally came to help and weve ordered food but weve been waiting for at least 30 minutes. (got here 15 minutes before the match started and its now 15 minutes played)
The chicken curry rotiβ€π
Great place to get awesome food.
Chip and cheese roti with chicken curry gravy is amazing! Service was quick and great.
Its currently level 3 lockdown and the place was virtually empty, its such a shame because you come to places like these for the atmosphere and socialize. The food was slightly below average, portions werent as generous as they once was and overall I felt it was overpriced, but you have to take all this with a pinch of salt, these are tough times, I hope they make it through.
Ordered the lamb bunny was absolutely horrible.any fool can throw spices and mix and call it a curry but it takes a special experienced person to cook a curry who knows what the different spices are for.the curry was very brown what happened to the chilli powder?Send ur chef on an advanced cooking course on indian curries or get the right indian curry specialist wont be eating here anytime soon.
Great spot for a sundowner. Had a great experience as always.
Quiet which suited us. Bunny chow and Briyani, delicious, great value for money. Social distancing observed, sanitised provided.
Ordered on mrd lamb curry it was amazing
Top top place. Woow.
Food was awesome as per normal
Big roti wraps, nice vibe. Oh, and theres booze. Convenient location too
Best Chicken Tikka in the world
Do not order their mojitoππ
Fantastic food and excellent service. Well worth a visit if you are on Florida road.
Yum yum yum! Love their chip and cheese rotis. My husband always gets from them, so many times that they know him by name.Go visit!
Service was top notch
Nice place to chill and have a few beers
Chicken Curry is good, Roti pastry was too much. Tomato sambles needs to be check, as mine had expired. Otherwise curry was a genuine Durban curry. Thank you.
We ordered the Prawn curry. The menu said about 10 prawns. We had about 5 small prawns and 5 tiny shrimps. It was pathetic for the price we paid. The prawns were overcooked and extremely chewy. Very disappointing. Dont have the Prawn curry at the House of Curries, such a pity.
Always my go-to for a beer and curry.
Great service good food nice vibe .will be going back.
Food is good nice atmosphere if you just want to relax have a few drinks and a nice bite to eat.
Best curry and cheese n chip roti in all the land. You got to try it if you havent already. Superb.
Quality has gone down
Good coffee with prompt friendly service
They serve the best Indian food ever!! I love their curry
Bar tenders were not really interested in serving us it seemed as if they just wanted us to leave.
Lovely place with a great vibe.. Plenty of delicious foods on their menu.. Curfew is strictly observed which is great...
Always good tonhave a chow here. Top curries, cold beers and friendly staff. Best curry in Durban.
Always enjoy being here.
Exquisite place
Cant go wrong for a quality Durban curry and friendly atmo
Absolutely love it, I had the Bunnychow then a Savannah. I cant think of a better place after I had left.
Friendly staff and good food. It happened to be not so busy when we where there which I did not understand since they have good food for not a lot of money. Really big portions I had difficulty finishing it. I really liked the bunny chow and this was one of the places to get the best one although we had similar ones in Johannesburg. Would recommend tho!
Good value curries but a misleading name. House of Curries is in fact a sports bar that also serves great value curries. The standard curry on offer here is fairly hot (by UK curry standards).I think this place would be much better if they embraced being a curry house more and perhaps cordoned off a section of the establishment to create more of a restaurant vibe I.e. better lighting, glasses instead of plastic cups, no sports TVs.
Best Curries in town. Love their roti wraps very filling
This is my go to spot for a chilled good time, the staff and vibe is amazing
Lamb roti is the best. Top that with an ice cold beer and you get five star rating.
Loved the mini bunny chows and now theyve been removed from the menuβΉ
The food is great! The interior is also beautiful. There are too many chairs and tables not enough space to move around. The cutlery needs to be changed. I opted for using my hands. Best Indian food in Pretoria.
Generally a nice place to hang out with friends or family for a few drinks. Friendly atmosphere amd plenty of screens to watch the game. The food really is a hit or miss. Maybe it depends when the curry and chips were prepared. I have had some amazing chip, cheese and curry gravy rotis....like 10/10 good. But i have also had some bang average ones...like so bad Gordon Ramsay would rip them a new one. Chips under cooked, min cheese...chip, cheese, gravy, roti ratio all messed.
Such good food!
Menu needs to be changed . Its boring
Awesome curries
Enjoy every visit here. Cold beer and good curry. Staff can be a bit more attentive but they are very friendly and are usually busy. Very casual dining. Parking can be a struggle though.
Great food. Enjoyed their beef bunny.
Wow i would like to thank the restaurant for the service i just received today i placed an order with Mr D and before I knew it the order was placed then I decided to call the restaurant to hold my order until I arrive at home wow the lady i spoke with was nice and polite even went extra mile to do what was suppose to be done by Mr D..Thank you for the amazing service and for holding my order i really appreciate that.
Nice food
Good service the waiter was very friendly the food was good I will definitely go back
A great local hangout and a favorite with Everton supporters.
An iconic eating establishment. Great food and serious value for money. But what makes it great is the service. The wait staff are super friendly and very efficient.
Very cool place
Nice Durban curry.
Not for the faint hearted! Brilliant curries and generous servings. Pub style. Dont expect anything more than the laminated A4 page menu, cold beer, and hot curry!
