Music is not the best but that depends on your taste and also who youre there with, if you go as a group for a chat, you wont notice the music but its not the ideal place to go if you wanna kill the dance floor with your moves.

Great ambience. Kitchen closes around 21:00 so we had to head out to Steers down the road for something to chow. Appreciated the extensive drink selection. Service was good. Seating is slightly uncomfortable...more so for me as I have lower back issues.Washroom facilities were relatively neat and clean. Parking is obviously an issue if youre visiting on a Friday or Saturday night. Best enjoyed with a group of friends.

One of my absolute Favorite places to go to on Florida Road! The whole look, feel and decor of the place is just something one wont forget! Im always raving about Dropkick Murphys to anyone who wants to know where they can go. From the drinks (which were just yummm and too incredible) Wouldnt taste the same elsewhere! Everything about the place sets the perfect tone for the time spent there. The food was super amazing (Compliments to the Chef) One place Ill visit for many years to come! See you again soon!

Its a good vibe here. Has a youthful, punk rock, hipster vibe. People are friendly. Service is relatively good. Music is great. Just wish they were more chairs to sit on and management was poor to make the upstairs area a VIP area for 10 people who seemed to be personal friends, just saw a missed oppurtunity to bring in more customers and profit off the rugby world cup.

Food options are unique and delicious. I would say theyre worth the price.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. Waiters (Donovan) are on point, attentive and friendly. Quite liked their beverage selection which is different to the normal approach to beers with the likes of Devils Peak and Pale ale which I quite enjoyed on the menu alongside the more conventional beers such as black label, castle larger/light, etc.The meals here range from R28 decent sized portion of chips with three dips -quite a range of dip flavours with honey mustard and so on which I urge you to try at least once.Overall, this is a trendy place with an amazing vibe which I will definitely visit again.

My first tym having a shooter called HAND GRENADE...out of this world⭐...the bartenders were super friendly...havent tried the food but iv only ever gotten positive feedback about their awsome menu.

Best thing about Florida! Such a chilled place to just sit back, relax and have beer and fries! Dont even get me started with those fries and those sauces.

Great for groups of people or for after work drinks! Food selection is limited but acceptable given that this is more of a pub than a restaurant. Overall I love this place and will return!

Loved this place. They need to make it more welcoming for diverse people though. I felt like I was a black person invading a white peoples space. But the manager did really try to serve us well.

If Ol Faithful was a bar, Murphys would be it.Good pub food with friendly staff - however, are almost always busy and therefore quick service is not guaranteed. Craft beer and cocktail selection quite limited and often not available despite being on the menu.They are open on Sundays which is a huge plus!

Probably one of the best bars left on Florida road. Always a good vibe inside and the staff are always on the ball when it comes to service. Amazing food. The best cold beers. And when you walk out on a Sunday morning the church is right across the road so all is forgiven.

Wonderful place with good food and drinks

A vibrant and refined crowd gathers here. There are screens galore to watch sports games and more than enough seats. There is a rustic theme with varnished wood everything, every where. The food portions are generous and the cocktails are potent! This place is quite small though so when it gets full it becomes cramped and stuffy. Nonetheless with its central location and authentic vibe I would definitely recommend it!

We did not even park the car to understand what the restaurant serves before the car park guy said we where not coming to his restaurant and that we will not consider Murphy’s. We are from JHB and have hungry family members in the car and would have considered Murphy’s. The guy did not give us a chance to talk before he said we Hindus repeatedly and he knew we not coming to his restaurant. Pathetic experience!!! Will not step into Murphy’s with owner employing an arrogant person to guard parking who does not try to win customers in but rather generalize and push people to disregard the option !!!

This popular Irish Pub set in an old historical house converted into a bar / social venue is situated on the bubbly Florida Road known for its mixture of restaurants and night life, all within a short walk of each other.This Irish Pub is worth a visit and great place to meet and socialize with friends. The venue has in and outdoor space that caters for your needs or group size. They have a selection of Craft Beer which is well worth trying.Their kitchen serves enjoyable meals and the food we had was very tasty. Their staff are friendly and very helpful however during busy periods can be a little stretched. Set on a busy road, parking can be a problem, so make sure you get there a bit early and before peak hours. All and all its a place you will remember, if you are a visitor to Durban.

Food was good. I had the Leprechaun. The calamari was awesome, I could have had just that. The batter they use is very dark and does not look appetizing but it is OK. My son had the fish and chips, it was also great.

Lovely vibe and affordable prices

It was great. They had good specials. The place is cosy and nice to meet friends. It is not overly busy. The waiters are hardworking they clean instantly and answer your questions.

Its a hit or miss depending on the day.Service is below average. Drinks are alright, the specials are terrific though (half price cocktails on a Sunday)They also do a quiz night on a Monday which is fun to do with friends. (Although the service was horrific. So order from the bar then head to your table)

I consider this my regular in Durban. Its probably down to the friendly staff but the several tvs to watch sport and the very pub feel help too. There is decent bar food on offer and the drinks flow quickly when you want them to.

We have visited this venue with each trip to KZN, in our opinion the best bar on the street. It has an excellent vibe with friendly staff and locals, the food was also fantastic.Its one of this places you have to experience for yourself, highly recommended.

Our waitress was fabulous, attentive and friendly. The hot wings were hot and flavourful - which I loved!! Am sorry I forgot the name of our waitress would have loved to have mentioned her by name.
