Probably one of the must-visit places in Dullstroom. A very traditional restaurant and pub that’s very dear to the Dullstroom community. The prices are reasonable, especially compare to the effort put in and the postion sizes. Safe parking across the road and options for seating inside or outside. Friendly and diligent service from start to finish. We’ll be back soon again.
Food was good, pleasant atmosphere.
It is and will be an awesome place to eat something. Their food is very good. Old style. Love it.
Warm and cosy - a decent spot to watch sport with a good but unobtrusive atmosphere. Pub food is as to be expected - was a bit disappointed with how my steak was cooked personally.
Great service, great prices, awesome vibe
Had a delicious dinner, glad to see the 41 year old fire still burning in the fireplace
We had dinner yesterday and it was disappointing. We used to enjoy the food but my bangers and mash was overcooked and bland. The fish was ineadible and tasteless with an interesting texture. We did not enjoy it at all. It is such a pity.
Really enjoyed our brief visit here. Food was excellent in a great ambiance with some interesting History.
Amazing atmosphere great hospitality comfy rooms good food
Excellent 👌🏼 5/5 .Awesome staff all friendly .Frans is just way above the rest . Thank you for all your service .the service is fantastic overall. Great fresh food and huge portions. All very well prepared. They have a long list of all the alcoholic and non-alcoholic bebeverages you could desire. Rooms are neat and clean you can see they painted recently.not my type of decor but suits the kind off town it is...the Dullstroom Inn is more about the experience you have when your there .Only one thing the hot water could be quitea bit hotter... Otherwise Recommended 100%
I enjoyed the fire place. Rooms a bit cold and the warter lukewarm. Good place to sleep over. Friendly staff.
Nice place with lots of character. Very quiet midweek though.
Friendly service. Delicious food. We always make a point of visiting them when we are in the area, or just passing through. You can always count on them to have the fire burning.
Food great, pub awesome, great vibe, well priced. Didnt stay over though
No assistance on arrival. No assistance when trying to eat at restaurant and were finally told only 3 people on duty. Drawers in room dirty. Poor quality bedding. No friendly staff and waiter seemed under the influence. Bad experience. Went to eat somewhere else.
Great place for a drink and nosh
We only went for dinner bur the experience was good and the locals are friendly.
Reception could be friendlier. Options limited on menu. However food is good. Building need some attention, especially showers. Quite rude, unfriendly manager. Not the attitude I would expect of such a beautiful historical building and venue. Loved the piano playing, absolutely stunning and gave such a nice essence to the atmosphere.
Very Nice place. People us friendly and helpful. Rooms is clean and neat. Food is out of the books. Thank you so much for a gr8 weekend we will definitely recommended Dullstroom Inn to our friends. See you soon.
Nice vibe. Excellent burgers. Friendly staff.
Food ok, service staff friendly, Duty manager not very receptive. Covid times maybe...but been there tried the place move on to Sabie for a better atmosphere with a smile
Dirty carpets. Dated rooms. Unfriendly manager on duty. Horribly old and dated bathroom. Would not stay here for free.
Great pub fare and atmosphere!
Amazing place. Amazing atmosphere!
Lovely food
Only used the restaurant. Great homemade pies.
Very nice place, will definitely see me again
Waited exactly one hour for our food, which was OK
Great place to visit, have a beer or even stay over
Great cosy atmosphere and good curry. We always have to stop here when we are in Dullstroom.
What a brilliant Manager! (Frans) An old Lady had a stroke and he responded like lightning!Thank you Frans!
Traditional old hotel with nice bar and nice vibe.
Good rooms. Staff is always helpful. If you arrive on a motorcycle they have a place to store it at night for safety. Recommended if you happen to be in Dullstroom.
Nice cold beer. Made new friends.
Great Fish & Chips
Excellent. The pub is amazing, food and drink are good. The hotel is a little old fashioned but very clean. The old fashioned feel really suits the town. Friendly staff.Definitely a recommendation from me.
Dullstroom, as a tourist town has many restaurants and coffee shops. You just cant get to all of them during one stay so it is difficult to choose. If you are looking for a place to make you feel at home and enjoy a good meal, then the Inn must be high on your list. This is also the place to enjoy a dring while watching live sport broadcasts.
Interesting place. A must see when you visit Dullstroom. The decor in the reception is so 1960 art Deco you must see. I would love to have them. Also the food looked very 5 star for a sleepy hollow.
Great pub, great food!
Always a great stop. Miss the Sams Burger on the limited lockdown menu.
Love the old hotel atmosphere. Food was excellent and well priced. Friendly service. Well worth your support.
Always great food. Especially the Lamb Curry!
Nice enough place with lots of character. Food was amazing and affordable. We had trout, chicken salad, chicken schnitzel, and lamb curry, which were all applauded. Wine was nice and served at a good temperature. Worth a visit.
Rooms updated which is nice. Great food and awesome staff. Accommodation and food prices reasonable.
Very friendly staff and a place full of history. Be sure to go see the fire thats been burning for years (during winter and summer) as well as the cask in which a man lived for 3 months to break a record! Had some great laughs with some fantastic friends.
I went to Dullstroom for the first time on the weekend and decided to try the Dullstroom Inn. The hotel is full of character and charm. Dullstroom Inn provides an adequate, basic B&B accommodation. The rooms are clean and well kept. There was no TV or phone in the room. The bathroom was bath only, no shower. An extra blanket was supplied for the bed and electric oil heater, much needed for winter in Dullstroom. The pub is used by both locals and guests with an amazing massive fireplace. The rate included breakfast which was fine and filling.I would recommend the Dullstroom Inn for a short night stay if you are looking for affordable, basic B&B accommodation. For a more romantic weekend getaway there may be better options.
Great place for a bite to eat.
Friendly staff, great service. My personal hideaway on a sunday afternoon
Service was very slow. Had to get up each time to find a waiter, order drinks, order food
Had best curry last night. Great value and atmosphere
For the rates, its a wonderful place. Staff and management were friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The food great. Our room clean and comfortable.
Excellent service and lovely food. Live piano music on a Sunday is pleasant.
Great service, good food
Great pub and worth a visit
Always tops
We love stopping here on our way to the Kruger. Breakfast at the Inn is a must. Huge fireplace, great food (and portion size!).
We love the Inn. I have been going there for over 30 years. Obtruse presentation of cold smoked trout. Waitress could use a little finesse? This most recent visit to the Inn was strange
Great Inn with loads of character, the restaurant and bar area has a great historical story to it. Basic to moderate Inn facilities, no electronics to add to the vintage feel. Would recommend it to tourists/travelers passing through. Dullstroom as a town has an abundance of activities to keep the whole family busy.
Food is great, love the burning fire tradition, close to 39 years!?!Breakfast and service was great. Rooms are clean but very basic. Bed was not comfy
Nice food and atmosphere
What a fantastic pub. The atmosphere and service was very good. The meal (Gammon Steak) was incredible. Very rustic and “ye olde” but definitely one of the highlights in Dullstroom.
Still the best steak,.egg and chips in town. And the lamb curry.. . Trouts the best no matter which way you order it.
One of those iconic places you just have to visit when in Dullstroom. There is always a fire blazing and the food is always good!
Clean and spacious. Trout dish in restaurant is awesome.
Beautiful historic building (the fire has not gone out in 40 years!) great staff, good value, fantastic meals GO THERE!
The rooms need serious updating, food and pub was amazing however everything else was below average. General tidiness was appalling as we woke up to BED BUG bites!
A very quaint hotel & their Steak & Kidney pie is delicious. This was the location where the first Finders Keepers competition prize money of R1000000 was found by a lucky winner. They have all the memorabilia beautifully framed hanging on the wall.
Great food, excellent host. Friendly warm cosy atmosphere.
Cosy English type of pub with a good menu and friendly staff. The wood burning fire place heats you up nicely on a chilly day.
Pies are awesome go check out the fire. Soups first class.
Dullstroom Inn has a typical pub like vibe to it. It offers fantastic food and the service was good and friendly. It also has a fire that has not gone out over the last 36 years.
Had a lovely Trout dinner. Good wine and beers available. Service good.
Unfortunately the food is not what it used to be. I was very disappointed with the chicken pot pie which was tasteless and prepared with zero care. A watery bowl of boiled chicken with pastry on the top. Not worth the exorbitant price.Have to plead for service of any kind, really disappointed
Great pub grub. Bar has plenty of character. Unfortunately, food can take very long to get to the table so not a good option if youre squeezed for time.
Great atmosphere great service
No hot water and pillows were horrendous. Has a lovely ambiance and good food
The Dullstroom in is a must visit in the town of dullstroom. The Bar and Restaurant is the best part of the Hotel. Great atmosphere inside and lots of seating outside. The food is average, staff is very friendly.
Great pub menu and a lovely pub style atmosphere. Its a true village pub and well worth a visit
Lovely food, staff very friendly. Prompt service. Will stop by again for a warm meal
Busy but festive. As usual great food. Generator kept us sane during loadshedding. Kitchen managed to cope with loadshedding and the busy bar.
Cosy atmosphere and great food,
Dark cozy pub. Great food. Off the tourist trap with a calm atmosphere.
Food at bar excellent. Good customer service.
Old hotel - decor a bit worn. Good food and interesting locals
Good site for stop. Good food.
Very friendly staff with the best homemade pies Ive ever tasted💯
Delicious food! Fresh and well prepared
Still awesome and excellent food and service
The interior is really old, not even cool vintage, but just old. The rooms we had really smelled old. Plus, our rooms didnt even have a shower, they just had a bathtub... The breakfast was decent though.
Very low budget accommodation in the small town of Dullstroom where locals and travelers or weekenders meet to share a drink or watch rugby game .... only 3 hours halfway between Johannesburg and Kruger national park this is ideal for a halt or a night the place is old but neat with vintage bedding...
One of the very few beautifully restored and maintained old style hotels left in the country with well set pricing for accommodation, delicious menu and pub prices. A genuine gem
