The Art Of Food has amazing food! Although their updated menu doesnt have all of the options listed on their website, all of us still had meals that were outstanding. A definite must-see when visiting Dullstroom.

Upmarket restaurant with a tasty menu presented impeccably. Emphasis is on composition rather than portion, so a fuller appetite should plan on indulging in a 3 course meal.

Tried on a quiet night, so service and attentiveness was very good. Starters, mains and dessert were all presented well and had very good flavors and attention to detail. Cozy ambience. Must try for whiskey lovers as well.

Just had the most amazing lunch at this special place. Very intimate on the deck as well as inside. The bar is very comfortable and cosy. Today was a bright sunny day and we enjoyed the beef fillet and pork belly outside on the terrace. 10/10 on both meals. We finished of with the most amazing peanut butter desert. I would say the best food in Dullstroom hands down. Also the service was excellent from Nicole and I would highly recommend this fine dining experience at a very reasonable price. One would pay 3 times this in the Cape Winelands. All and all coming back as soon as we can. Thanks so much!!

5 stars on the venue. 5 stars on the location. 5 stars on the menu. 10 stars (out of 5) on the wine list. 5 stars on the service. My wife had rhe trout, which was over the top good. My fillet steak was dry. We recommend that you stick to fish dishes in Dullstroom. We WILL go back. Good experience

Amazing food! Well worth a try!

We have had 2 excellent meals here and have thoroughly enjoyed each occassion. The food, presentation and service have all been impeccable every time. It is so encouraging to experience tasty, appetising and well presented meals that go beyond the country wholesome standards generally served up in smaller towns.

We visited Art of Food some time ago at the old location...we were recently assured that the Chef had moved to Chapter 1...hence our visit this evening...the Amuse Bouche was a nice touch. Courgette Tempura was great. Snails (my husband being French) was good. The Trout Trio..6/9.Fish Pie was not a Pie at all....we were offered that on the house as we were told the Chef made a mistake. Oxtail did not disappoint!. The fillet however was.like the sole of an old shoe...so tough we couldnt even cut through it...no exaggeration!Disappointed. The creme Brule was then offered on the house.The waiter was not well trained and not up to scratch. After sending the fillet back to the kitchen, we suggested to speak to the Chef but he/she didnt appear.When the final bill came however, the Fish Pie was no longer on the house....instead the creme Brule was....I would give the restaurant 4/10...sad but true.This qhole situations was not well handled at all. Being a restaurant owner myself, it should have been handled completely differently in my humble opinion.

Excellent food, fab decor, 1st class service, friendly professional hosts. Lovely bar and deck too. Young but very talented chef. Absolutely great evening!

Oysters & mussels flown in from the West coast. This has to be the best food in Dullstroom. The oxtail is incredible and the creme brulee is fantastic. We were fortunate to get a booking and have to rate this as one of the best fine-dining venues in South Africa. Every dish is clearly individually prepared and the attention to detail is awesome - have eaten in all the restaurants in Dullstroom and this remains head and shoulders above the rest.

The food is the best..well prepared and a very nice romantic atmosphere,unique deco on the books there.We enjoyed a lot.

Spectacular in every way!!

DISGUSTING!!!Food was tasteless, dry, somethings were under cooked, and the rest was over cooked.Luckily for them, my husband doesnt like to make a scene!! I on the other hand would have refused to pay for anything!!!DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!

Absolutely Stunning!!!Just had the Oysters and wow... The last thing I expected to find in Dullstroom were oysters. I have a great love for all things sea food and when I saw oysters I could not resist. This place just keeps getting better and better.

Absolutely awesome. Exciting food and outstanding service from the staff. Artistic food presentation that both delights the palate and the eye. The menu selection is awesome - short but clearly freshly prepared. Organic vegetable grown on the property!!! Atmosphere must be the best in Dullstroom - definitely a restaurant to compete with some of the best in the country.

Really disappointed, what looked like an impressive menu turned out to be all show and no taste. We chose the Bouillabaisse dish, fish was over cooked, must have been frozen produce. It was very unpleasant.

Wow - great value for an upmarket and exclusive dining experience. This place is atttached to a hotel - what a hotel !! Large rooms, incredible staff and such a pleasant place just to escape to. Fantastic gardens, organically grown vegetables on-site and really top notch food. Will be back repeatedly.

You people are not the art of food. Having spoke with your lawyer i cant believe you still persist with your lack of integrity. I know you are desperate but your lack of integrity has drpped to another to record lows. Just so the public knows the art of food restaurant was sold to a very decent gentleman in town wh will opening once he has built. In the meantime guys. Chapter one is NOT art of food and they have nothing to fo eith the reputation set by christine and myself. An establisment with such a debased lack of integrity such should be avoided. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!
