I stopped here for an over night rest between Cape Town and Pretoria. This is the best rest stop one can make as it is a farm, out of town and away from the bustle. Here you will experience the sound of silence. A welcome break from the monotonous sound of car engines, trucks on the highway and blowing wind when your windows are open.I would always stay here from now on and recommend this establishment for all travelers on long trips.The staff is welcoming and friendly and they offer food service in terms of a fully licensed bar and restaurant on the property. Or you can self cater with a braai, facilities available just outside your room.

Pleasantly surprised by this B&B, lovely family running the establishment. Kitchen also offers delicious evening meals! Great if youve been on the road for 10 hrs and dont want the hassle of trying to find a decent meal. Would highly recommend the lamb neck 👌👌

Enjoyed the stay got a friendly welcome when we arrived accommodation was neat and had everything you need. Upon departure we were seen off by the two most adorable dogs (I almost stole them)..wink wink😉😉 will definitely stop over there again on our next Cape town trip

Fantastic stopover. Could have done a few days even. Dog-friendly. Nice pool. Cooked meals available. But for us, it was all about a traditional braai starting at sunset. Joined by the resident dogs. In the Great Karoo. Quiet and peaceful.

Just a little far out of the way

Other then the hard bed, this place was great. Even the massive dog was super friendly and slept in my room for the night (I love animals). Melissa was helpful and friendly plus she goes out of her way for you...give her a raise!

This place is very quiet and my opinion a popular sleep over for travellers from CT to Joburg , even KZN like us. Our rondavel was small, but clean and had all we needed for a safe sleepover. The dinner, lamb curry our choice was fantastic. Overall will recommend and personally would sleep over again. Also a nice smaller Pub, Bar .

Excellent layout love the separate accommodation with lekker aircon, very quite and easy access so you would not disturb anyone if you plan on leaving early or coming back from a nice lunch/dinner in town. We had a good night sleep and absolutely loved the place, unfortunately I am rating it a three because we had an unfortunate event where we misunderstood the hostess on the room number because the supposed room key was not in the door as told it was on the counter inside the room behind a closed door so in turn we thought that the room was already occupied, as well was not a room that we booked (they could notify you on room charges) one of the hosts handled the situation very unprofessionaly while we still payed in full for our room we felt like freeloaders and unwelcome (Would be nice if they will show you your room on arrival like other guest houses or present you with the key in reception so this sort of thing would not happen again)

Good clean and quiet venue. All facilities like swimmimg pool, bar, aircon in rooms, meals. Dog friendly....many dogs run around on premises. Only thing I didnt like as much as many years ago was the cooked chops vs the good old grilled style.

Ideal for overnight. The buildings are old-fashioned but the maintenance is very good. Clean, spacious and wonderfully quiet. A big plus is the large parking area in front of the rondavels. So your caravan is at your doorstep. Reception is cordial and friendly. Meals are delicious.
