Friendly!! Wonderful! We were so happy to sleep over at The Lighthouse and even happier ro have a great host and a great breakfast. You should visit them next, just like we did.

Accommodation was clean and welcoming, they even turned on the AC for a warm welcome during the night. They even sent menus so we can have dinner on arrival from nearby restaurants. And even delivered breakfast the next morning!

Great place and very quiet considering it is so close to N1. Beds very comfortable. A shower instead of a bath is the only point that I can raise. Very nice breakfast and very pleasant hostesses.

This guest house is a definate stop on your way to the Cape. Clean, neat, well decorated with friendly staff.

We had another wonderful stay at The Lighthouse Guesthouse. Spacious room, spotlessly clean, stylish decor, comfortable bed, luxurious linen and a fabulous bathroom. Private and secure. Bianca always goes out of her way to make sure we have the best stay. We will definitely be back.

Clean, friendly staff and afordable accommodation if you pass through. Within walking distance from all the restaurants and pubs. Private and secure parking. Rooms have aircons and ceiling fans. Good water pressure and no problem with hot water in the morning. Classic and antique furniture which fits the overall look and feel of the guesthouse.

A good sleep over either to Joburg or Cape Town...The treatment is very warm.

Centre of town, breakfast pack not great., however we we enjoyed the historic building

What an awesome stay en route to Cape Town. Told the kind lady, Marietta, that I’d be leaving early in the morning. She didn’t hesitate to have my breakfast pack waiting for me at my door. Lovely people, lovely accommodation. 5 out of 5. Highly recommend!

Well situated opposite from a pub and grill. Room large . Bed too short and no shower in the room. Breakfast good

The showers was full alge ( black patches on the grouting ) carpets dirty , cockroathes arround and smelly in rooms 9 and 12, the whole area is NOT wheelchair friendly . You dont even want tohave acoffie

Safe a secure B&B In Colesberg... I stayed two nights.. The rooms where comfortable with dstv (limited channels) and free WiFi.The town is peaceful with some interesting history.. The breakfast was good just found the filter coffee a bit weak.. There is better coffee at a price thou

Clean well looked after and in a very convenient location. Bedrooms are well equipped with a big bathroom and shower. A good option for that sleep over on the way to Cape Town.

We stayed there for one night. Best service friendly staff and very very clean. Across the road is n little pub that serves the best traditional South african food ever. Try it.

Like many Im sure just a quick one nighter on the way home to Cape Town, but first impressions are excellent and we will definitely stay here again.

The Lighthouse is a real gem- a delightfull place to overnight. The rooms are roomy and very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpfull, close to a number of restaurants, wifi, safe parking etc etc etc. I would recommend it as very good value for money.

Really horrid experience. Impolite staff, no security, no hot water in the morning, smells terrible and communal kitchen is a dump

Very friendly and accomodating service. Room was very spacious and bathroom was huge. Very well kept place. Safe, off street parking. Areas to relax outside and even have a braai if you wish. Close to many restaurants and shops in Colesberg.

A nice cosy overnight stay with a very pretty outside garden. The linen in one of the beds was stained and dusty under the beds. Staff were very friendly although interactions were limited. Lastly the menu for the restaurant across the street isnt up to date (and hasnt been for months apparently) so expect your food (from JCs restaurant) to cost quite a bit more than what those menus indicate (and it should be a really simple thing to resolve one would think). Overall I would still recommend them for a short stay.

The guest house was not clean at all. From Bed sheets, to bed covers and cushions placed on the beds. (Cleary being re-used)The carpet has a good stink throughout the guesthouse. No tea/coffee in the room, theres an outside kitchen which was not in a good state (Sink full of dirty cupz, wet floor because of a leaking tap). The cups had coffee stains and most were cracked. The room has no shower, just a bath tub.Definately wont be resting there ever again.
