Spacious and warm restaurant for dinner dates in winter. We had a little fireplace next to our table which kept us toasty. All covid-19 protocols were followed. The staff were attentive and the food was yummy.

Nice upstairs seating area.But pricey for what they offer.Nice mix of traditional SA dishes.Peter pizza vino though, sorry guys.Ah yes, bit pricey.

Frequently enjoy to dine at KAROO with my wife on special and not so special occasions. The menu is full of traditional SA meals and it could be a problem to make your selection. This photo is our 600g sirloin to share for two and comes with two sides and onion rings. It did not break the bank with rounds of drinks and desert. Really good value for money and will keep on supporting the KAROO family

Food, delicious as ever...outstanding service from the friendly staff and mellow ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a meal as wholesome as a home cooked one. And looking for a nice spot with a variety of options and spots you can chill at within the restaurant.

The service was slow, I dont know if its because we sat upstairs.The lambshank had some sweet taste that was overpowering. It was falling off the bone but the sauce wasnt to my liking. The mojito was amazing though 🍹

Food was very tasty, flavourful. Great variety, but still keeping well with theme. A bit pricey, nice for a special get together, not an everyday eat. Service was good.

True value for money. Beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. The cooked food was delicious, must visit if you are a foodie. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars due to the salad bar (its too homestyle for my taste) . I ordered the ribs and half chicken, juicy and well marinated. We decided to try Karoo Grill today for lunch. We received a warm welcome at the door, then things started going downhill. From a waiter upstairs refusing to clean a table for us to be seated, to getting two extremely underwhelming cocktails. The food was also very average consodering the prices of the meals. Definately not going back thereI should rather have taken a drive to Soutbdowns and gone to Cappuccions.

The whole family loved their food, the portions are big and filling, well cooked and tasty. The service is impeccable, as you walk around the restaurant the staff continously greets with a smile, the manager came to check up on us. The music in the restaurant is great and our waitress was friendly and patient, she took our family pictures and helped us pick from the menu, continously check on us and adding drinks for us. The wait time wasnt long. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 its because of the bad condition of the menu and furniture.

Good service, very busy on a Fri night,best to make a booking. My fillet was awesome, but my bok choi was destroyed, the chef didnt know what to do with this veg. My mash was delicious. My husbands sirlion was ok but just ok. The handmade ice cream looks gr8, cute boxes, but wasnt that interesting,bit bland. There is an ice cream with choc sauce on the menu someone else had at our table, much better choice. The atmosphere in the restaurant was gr8, loved the music and the whole ambience/setting. The J&B with mint and the brandy blues cocktails was something different, we njoyed that

Quality of the food is great. Ostrich, Rump fillet and pork belly all done perfectly. The prices,however, are very high. Example is 500 ml draft beer is R50. The mains follow suit at about 25% over the competition.

Nice traditional Karoo food with interesting decor and acceptable service. The meat is truly enjoyable, but some sides are an acquire taste. Expect to wait a while for food.

Great food... From mains to deserts the menu caters a variety. The chocolate brownie with spoon dipped in hot chocolate sauce with nuts got me going back too often! Great service. Thanks to Simba, our waiter, it was a very pleasant experience.

I was served rotten chips and stale ribs. Following my complaint, the manager offered to take off 1 meal from my bill but thats besides the point. You DO NOT offer guests rotten food. Food poisoning is dire.The standard of Karoo has dropped, and Im never going back!!!

Have been to Karoo many times before. Enjoy to outside sitting area, nice for younger kids to play in die water fountains. This time though the food was a bit dissapointing.

Was my second time at Karoo. The hanger steak was a bit of a disappointment, looked more like a snitchel than a steak and quite tough for a piece of rump. We ordered cappuccinos, just to be told by the waitress, the machine is broken. We ordered normal Americanos, just to see how the table next to us had cappuccinos delivered. Luckily the company I had was superb, otherwise the whole experience wouldve been a let down.

Hi. While the restaurant itself is nice and neat with an appealing layout, and the service was more than great, I was disappointed by the state of the bathroom (even though there is only 1 for males). The medium rare sirloin steak I ordered then arrived medium well, and the quality of the cut was a bit underwhelming. The mogodu was bland and I think you tried too hard to make it like a beef soup, with herbs and ginger in it (In any African home or traditional restaurant, mogodu+water+salt is all you really need). These are easy things to fix and I have no doubt I will come back in future, but will probably ask for a rare steak

The meat that was served to our group this afternoon was absolutely delectable, but the chips served with it in all six plates was very poor quality and did not even appear palatable. I mentioned this to our waiter and management did not even bother to discuss it with us. Poor show.
