Taste of Thailand never disappoints. This was my second visit and the food was as good as the first visit. The different flavours of the many dishes was a gastronomic adventure. The curries are a must if you love spicy food, otherwise stick to the stir fries. The coconut soup, the dim sum were all also divine. Order a few main dishes to share with rice for the table, then prepare yourself for a taste explosion!

My wife and I loved the food and atmosphere! Real quality with the food, that classic Thai flavour. We have tried several Thai restaurants in the UK and this place is better!

I have to say we waited quite long for our meal but it was worth the wait. Well done to the chef. Thoroughly enjoyed every morsel.

Very tasty dinner and the Pha-ram long song 510 (stir fried beef Satay peanut sauce dish was delicious. Much more liquid sauce than i have had befor so be sure to order Steamed jasmine rice to soak it up. In addition we hadpad Thai vege 901 (Thai noodle) which had a very generous seving bhaibof been sprouts which with veg were delicious, nuts, eggs, tofu, and veg were generous proportions. From arriving to main course allow hour and half as there is a lot of take away order moving between orders from kitchen to collect. Overall Andrew is a good host and we shall be back to support him again.

Such good food - and the owners and staff go out of their way to ensure your meal is perfect. Understanding - catering for vegetarians - I recommend this place very highly. As far as restaurants in the area go - the best!! Tequila available at a reasonable price. Yes - to Taste of Thai :)

Weve eaten here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food on both occasions. I have some food sensitivities and the owner is helpful in finding & preparing a dish I can eat.The dishes are well presented 😊The only reason its not 5 stars is when I asked for a decaff cappuccino, it was instant coffee and my husbands kahlua coffee was also made with instant coffee and that was disappointing.

I Love Thai food and these guys are the best in town. The Thai curries are not too hot as you can choose how hot you want it. The flavours are amazing! I will be going back again soon.

Food is very nice but a bit pricy... They are on entertainer though which makes it very much worth it. I liked the night time atmosphere with the dim light and candles. The manager is very friendly but the waitor could be a bit friendlier and smile a bit.

This place is amazing! The food is spicy and so flavourful. Its rare that I like everything that is ordered for the table. The manager was extremely friendly and made the experience just that much better. Cant wait to return.

The hosting is amazing! The main dishes are very yummy. I think the starters could do with some work but we enjoyed our meal! The banana dessert was my partners favourite!

I went here for take out. Friendly fast service, and the food was great. I liked the green curry that my wife bought, but my angry beef was the best. Properly angry at medium heat! The dim sum was okay, probably better if eaten at the restaurant.

Taste of Thailand is one of my most favourite restaurants in Town, close to the Turntable Shop and Kandy Records in Mowbray. I used to combine my visits with the lectures of The Egyptian Society of South Africa (TESSA) in St Georges Grammar school around the corner. But those are on hold since the beginning on lock down.Happily the food was as good as ever and we loved the gentile service of the young waitress Jane and of course the fine cooking of the kitchen ataff.Please visit this lovely restaurant with some fine specimen of Thai Art. That was a fine meal from start to finish. Get going with the DIY spinach rolls, then sample some Massaman Curry and Cashew Chicken , wash it down with a bottle of chilled Klaver Chenin Blanc and finish off the festivities with some fried banana nestled around two generous scoops of ice cream.... a culinary delight ! We will be back !

The hosting was perfect however the food left me wanting for more but not in the good way.Two dishes one chicken noodle and the other seafood. Both tasted as if there was zero seasoning and bland flavour.. where was the sea in my food??Probably wont go back again but mainly due to the good, the service however was welcoming and the waiter was great.

The Best Thai Restuarant in Cape Town! If you want a great thai food experience these guys are it. Have been going for quite some time and they never dissapoint.

What a total rip off. R106 for this container of mushroom, peppers, cashews and tofu. Noodles were supposed to be ordered separately. In total, this snack cost me R135 with the mandatory deliver charges during lockdown. NEVER again will I consider this place for future orders.

Delicious food. I have struggled to find good Thai food in Cape Town which isnt ridiculously over priced, but I found it here. We ordered a few dishes and shared them. Everything was so tasty, well spiced and the portions really generous. The service was great even though it was busy. Very good value for money. Will be back for sure.

Taste of Thailand serves delicious Thai food in a cozy setting. The menu has a large variety of Thai dishes which will satisfy most tastes. And the prices are good too. As for parking, theres an open field opposite the restaurant if the parking bays are all taken.

Good place to order a selection of dishes to share. The starters were very good. The main dishes and dessert were a bit hit and miss. The Pad Thai, which is normally my go-to safe dish, had a strange sweet flavour. Eight Angels and honey roasted duck were excellent. The ice cream wasnt great but the cappuccino cup dessert was nice. Overall, pretty good as long as you order the right things.

Halaal friendly. The food is delicious! The servings are generous so the prices matches what you pay for. One could easily overdo it just on starters. Loved the soups! Friendly staff, good service. Limited seats. Quaint.

Not much ambiance. Waiter wasnt overly friendly even though the place wasnt full. Waiter took our order for drinks which was delivered to the table. He then came back to take our order for the food but never came to enquire whether we were happy or needed anything else.
