Ive just received my order and considering it is the umpteenth time Ive gone back I thought it would only be fair to leave a review for others that come across this awesome little restaurant! The food is always fresh, excellently balanced in its depth and array of flavors, and the dishes uphold their traditional roots without the feeling of being over produced. You can tell there is care in their cooking, and skill in bringing a new flair to the classics! For the days that I dont have the kids and dont feel like cooking for one, they never disappoint and the pad thai, curries and laska options are winners!

We ordered from Smokin Wok through Uber Eats, always keen to find another great Thai restaurant. We tried a few dishes, namely the Pad Si Eu with chicken, the veg. green curry and Pad Thai with Tofu, along with an order of veg. spring rolls.Bit of a mixed bag. Portion sizes were generous, which was appreciated. The spring rolls were crispy and flavourful, a great start to the meal. The Pad Si Eu smelled heavenly, and was honestly the single best tasting thai dish I have ever personally eaten. The thought of the flame grilled chicken flavour permeating through the stir fry still makes my mouth water just writing about it. Outstanding, and I dont say that lightly.Unfortunately, the glowing review ends there. The Pad Thais overall flavour profile was sickly sweet, which was quite off putting. It was decidedly lacking any depth of flavour and the umami hit to balance the sweetness and give the dish some oomph.The green curry was a tepid, bland and somewhat watery affair. Zero depth of flavour in the broth, disappointing for what should be a signature Thai dish.Overall the review would be a 3.5 if I could award half stars, but Im rounding up instead of down just for the experience that was the Pad Si Eu. Im not sure if there are different chefs in the kitchen or we caught them on a busy night so the same care and flavour could not be put into all of the dishes, but I do wish the entire experience had been of the same quality.

Most authentic, quality Thai Ive tasted in a long time!

Have just had the Smokin Wok Thai Green Curry. Wow !! It was really delicious. Delivered timeously by Mr Delivery, it was piping hot , with loads of flavor and was a substantial and affordable 5 star meal !! Can highly recommend Smokin Wok.
