Havent been here in almost 15 years, but Im happy to see its still going.Dishes are quite pricey so be prepared to pay (its an up-market restaurant for ALL). Husbands steak was quite tough, so maybe stick to ordering their specialties (fish) to be safe!Sushi and Oysters are fresh!

You dont have to be a seafood lover - there is a good, diverse menu. I did miss the beautiful pork belly on my last 2 visits though. Lovely views while enjoying good food, beautifully presented in pleasant surroundings!

Food was delicious! They have a wide variety of sushi and it really is the best sushi in Bloubergstrand! They also have very good cocktails, although not a wide variety.They are a bit pricy, and you will probably have to make a reservation because they are quite busy. It is a beautiful and fancy looking restaurant with tablecloths. The prices are very reasonable and portions size is large. The hake and calamari combo was absolutely delicious! The view of Table Mountain, the ocean and ships is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating when we wanted to move to a quieter spot.

We had amazing prawns here, the views are exceptional and the manager was just great, our waitress was sweet and attentive

Had dinner on Monday and ordered the seafood platter special. The place was packed and our waiter (Admire) gave us excellent service. He was friendly and efficient and even offered us a complimentary entré of delicious mussels in a creamy garlic and wine sauce while we waited for our meal. The seafood platter was one of the best Ive ever had, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back, soon.

Service was good as was the Sushi. However as a Manager you should know that your website states your Sushi special runs till 22:00 and not blame your Marketing people. Other establishments honour an advertisement without any issue. Not impressed with the way it was handled. Oh and Mussel pot with garlic and white wine sauce, I think change it to a white butter sauce Mussel pot as garlic was never present when they made that sauce.

We had breakfast at this restaurant daily while staying at Dolphin Beach Hotel. The Basil tomatoes and hashbrowns were absolutely divine. We also had awesome seafood dishes for other meals - so delicious! The staff knows how to make you feel like royalty and it was such a pleasant experience dining here.

Only complaint I have is when I tried to make a evening booking for Monday I was told restaurant was fully booked, but I decide to go anyway, find a busy place but with plenty of tables to spare especially just for 2

Amazing views, excellent service and awesome food. My daughter had the tuna Poke and I sampled the Persian cheesecake. The Poke was a generous portion of fresh, tasty ingredients. My cheesecake was absolutely decadently delicious. We were pushed for time but will certainly go back for a longer visit.

Platter for 1 @R99?! Absolutely amazing value.Fish is fresh, flaky and beautifully cooked. Prawn were well cooked and tasty. Mussels are fresh and the sauce is outstanding. Service is above average and I can see that they take pride in it. Highly, highly recommended.

I came in for the prawn special. I ordered quickly as I do not particularly enjoy going to restaurants in the evening on my own. I told Rachael to put my food order in and come back to take my wine order.Just after my glass of wine arrived my food arrived - so many prawns - I have taken half back for breakfast. Rachael was attentive friendly and aware of me at all times bringing extra lemon, black pepper and finger bowl - she was super good! I recommend 100% the prawn special on a Thursday night - amazing! Fantastic customer service. Wonderful experience and their current special is Phenomenal! Food is great! Definitely a great location for family / friends / special gathering.

We went for a la carte breakfast, only 3 other tables very empty. Approximately 40 minutes after ordering we asked the manager why its taking so long he said that the breakfast chief hadnt arrived, why not tell costomer when they arrive its going to be about an hour before you can eat. We left 10 minutes later.

Food was fresh and delicious. Portions were great. Received excellent service from Pam our waitress. Will definitely visit again

The food was okay. Had the beer battered hake and chips and cheesecake. Would order again, although batter was a little oily. The glass covered seating area was a bit neglected - leaking water, cheap and ineffective heaters and the staff were not very attentive or fast. On good weathered days, Id visit again for the view.

Terrible Experience! My African friend called to reserve a table for us and was told they were fully booked, she then asked me to call because my accent sounds more Caucasian, she also had read reviews about them turning down people of colour. When I called suddenly there was a opening. When we arrived we were seated and sat there for a entire 15 minutes without being helped, we called the waiter and asked about menu and we were told to look and read. After being ignored for 30 minutes we decided to leave and no one asked why we left or what the problem was. I was shocked,as someone who has been in the hospitality industry for years...it sickens me!

The views of Table Mountain from the restaurant are spectacular. From the starters to the mains to the dessert, all the food did not disappoint. The pork belly was a particular surprise, with honey & cinnamon sauce. The seared tuna salad is also worthy of an honourable mention.A word of caution for patrons of a darker hue, make sure you take the name of the person helping you make a reservation, in case your reservation goes missing.😉

Do not recommend. Veg sushi options are bland and only come with cucumber and avo. Staff are very dismissive and clearly favour wealthier looking people. Dont waste your time.

My wife and I tried Blowfish on Tuesday evening for the first time. We had an enjoyable evening with a winter sunset of Table Mountain. The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone and we enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely be going back again to try out more items on the menu.

The most divine Thursday prawn special ever, with great views.

Booking is essential, especially over the weekend.I had some of the best sushi Ive ever had at Blowfish. They use really good quality salmon, so my suggestion is to try their salmon sashimi - they do not skimp.Be warned that their sushi is really pricey, so try and go on Sundays after 5pm for their half price sushi. This only applies to sushi on the conveyor belt.The service is good, but dont expect the waiters to know anything about the wine list, youre on your own there.Desserts are delicious and well priced. Ill definitely go back.

The fish quality was fantastic, the sides were well cooked but nothing special in terms of taste.Lets say 4 stars.The service was ok but not real good either.Friendly waiter who did some kind small talk as good as he could.Yet, neither of us was asked how they wanted their meal to be cooked.The wine I ordered was not the wine I ended up drinking.The baby chair we were provided was not properly set up so it almost collapsed when our daughter sat in there.2.5 stars.The ambience is terrible: As long as you dont sit by the sushi counter (which actually appeared to be quite nice from far) but in the major dining area youll find yourself squatted on timeworn, shaky chairs that dont match design wise, offish atmosphere.Stains on the cloth, some cutlery and crockery had been left on the tables next to us. They were still there as we leftThe floor is really filthy.No, we dont represent overprotective parents of tots: you can actually see the dirt from 1.90m height.0.5 stars.Altogether a disappointing experience.Wont come again.
