My 1st year Anniversary was lovely. We had lunch, wonderful wine, great atmosphere and the food was 10/10. I appreciate the boutique atmosphere and the art is stylish and unique. We definitely would love to spend a night soon. The staff was professional and we enjoyed our Waiter, forgive me but i think his name Salvo? Keep up the good work.

I always frequent Blanko for romantic date nights and their food and service never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere is calm and soft. I enjoy the wine, seafood pasta, steak, chips and veg! Everything is so delicious and everyone is always so friendly and attentive. It’s also nice to have a drink outside or in the lounge area.I definitely recommend this restaurant.Thanks for treating us like gold we are very happy customers.

Wow. A must try. The prawn starter were probably the best Ive had in Cape Town so far. Friendly service and a lot of unique decorations around the restaurant. Not too expensive two course or three course options are available with quite decent portion sizes.

Blanko was such a pleasant restaurant. Staff was friendly, the outside seating area is perfect for warm sunny days. Their menu is a bit limited and maybe they could review adding a bit more variety into it. Otherwise the food and drinks we did have were good

I heard rice with Sole and it was so delicious not to mention their wine, the ambiance was just great as they had the fire place on.

Am elegant setting. The art work, eye catching and pleasing. Food very good and well priced. I had their set menu and Id be hard pressed to find a better offering at the price point in all of Cape Town.

Relaxed vibe, beautiful and elegant interior design, tasty food and very professional staffs. This restaurant deserves a 10/10! I spent a memorable afternoon and I highly recommend it.

The menu has something for everyone. It is pricey, but by far not exceptionally so, especially when the quality of the food is considered. The art displayed is something to behold, and the wine list superb.Not sure is there is anything else I can complain about... A real pleasure to have had lunch here!

The restaurant at the Alphen has been refurbished and it does not disappoint. The interior is elegant and comfortable and the ambience is easy going. The service is 5-star, attentive and meticulous and the menu is varied and delicious. Had the most delicious Lemoncello Pot for dessert - a deconstructed lemon meringue essentially - but light, fresh and melt-in-your-mouth fantastic! Definitely going back there soon.

Again, I find the Move restaurants pretty over priced for what you get. I ordered a berry smoothie because they didnt have the ingredients for the papaya smoothie I wanted. Aboyt R100 for a smoothie which consists of no fresh berries at all.. It tasted like berry yogurt (sweetened) and crushed ice with milk! No actual berries or fruit as stated on the menu, it tasted like I was drinking watered down berry yogurt. Not my favorite place. La belle is abit better, offering a variety of kite free options catering for people with health intolerance etc. But dont it healthy smoothies on the menu if try going to serve sweetened yogurt on ice. ;)

This is an absolutely Fantastic venue. I had my Birthday lunch in one of the private rooms at Blanko and after drinks at Incognito. The service from both places was Top Class and everything was perfect. Even the food was very delicious! My girls and I had an amazing Time!

Absolutely brilliant!!! From a la carter to winter special menus, from Jazz Sundays to kids fun. A warm fire to make the ambiance even better, a wine selection out of this world. Topped with staff that makes the whole picture come together.

Blanko.Well, the name may not mean a whole lot to everyone but beyond the name there is a menu... a menu that contains some world class foods done to perfection. It was our 1st time at this location and they do everything to impress. And impress they will !!!!The Carpaccio is amazing. Just melts in your mouth and the flavour surpasses my previous experiences with this appetizer. The main course consisted of: Grilled rump, sirloin and sword fish. Everything was unbelievably delicious and cooks to perfection. Our waiter (Fiston) was very attentive, respectful and none of us has second thoughts about the food suggestions we were getting from him.It was a delightful experience and I can definitely recommend this place.

What an exquisite experience at Blanko, we have never been treated to such massive food portions in all our lives. I wish more restaurants could take a page out of this book. I am 100% going back for these prawns and calamari, probably the best I’ve tasted in Cape Town. Seriously well done Blanko, you guys are running a mighty fine Restaurant don’t change a single thing!

This restaurant is definitely one of my favourites in the lovely Cape thus far. Being a gluten free vegetarian generally means a lack of choice at fine dining establishments. Not so at Blanko situated at the beautiful Alphen Hotel, also on my A list of eateries. I had several choices to tempt my pallet. I chose an absolutely delish chargrilled cauliflower dish with a sauce made from nuts that left me drooling for more. In fact I was still hungry afterwards as the portion is small so the manager kindly brought me a couple of toasted rye slices to complete the meal which filled the gap. The service was excellent, the ambience and surroundings stunning and the pricing on a par with other restaurants. Id recommend taking a stroll in the lovely Alphen Hotel gardens, the perfect venue for a special wedding or function, after your meal.Also check out the newly renovated pub and perhaps have a coffee or apperitief after your meal while relaxing on the couches in gorgeous surroundings. The only criticism I have is the plea to make the cauliflower dish serving more substantial, either by increasing the portion or by adding a content rich salad. A lot of vegetarians and vegans do have a healthy appetite as my partner Pierre will confirm! I will definitely be back for more.

The heritage setting with a modern twist is absolutely stunning. The food is nice, good value and the service is excellent. We go there mostly to enjoy the atmosphere, its very special.

Celebrated my moms birthday here and wow. The service was amazing, staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was amazing as well. We will definitely be back!

Great evening out on a Saturday, with great service. Fish was recommended to me and I was glad I ordered the Sea Bass. It was beautifully cooked and delicious. Side vegetables were tasty and well cooked. The other diners had Prawns, which looked good, and Lamb Chops which were average. Decor and artwork is interesting and the ambiance was pleasant. Bench seating became a little uncomfortable as the night went on.

Great experience! Our waiter Ryan was fantastic, looking after us and going the extra mile with a smile. We had the Beef Carpaccio and the Squid appetizer, both were really delicious and great portion sizes too. For mains we chose the Prawn Linguini and the Rump steak, which came with an oregano cafe de paris butter and fries. All cooked to perfection. We were a bit late to ask for the dessert (9:45 with curfew at 11pm). After enquiring, our waiter spoke to the kitchen who already packed up and made a plan for us with a delightful semi-deconstructed Creme Brulee.All in all a wonderful evening out, and not too expensive either. Well worth the visit.

It was one great experience.Was seated outside on a autumn day - so very leafy outside as the seating is under a leafy network of trees.Dining option inside or outside seating.Definitely on the higher end price.They do offer shared platter options, which works well with groups.

The restaurant setting is beautiful. The service was good but the food not great. The chicken was unedible as it was very dry. The tables meals did not all arrive at the same time. The last person only got their meal when half the table had already finished theirs. Doubt Ill go back.

In-depth review:Welcoming, bathing in fall colours, that was my initial impression.We were greeted at the entrance and escorted to our table, with comfortable, plastic chairs and a cushioned couch. The table had some fall leaves on it, whether that is a bad thing is a matter of opinion.The most notable was the waiters professionalism. He was friendly, he introduced himself, and once everything was settled he was present yet invisible. It was obvious to me that he kept a close eye on our table and whenever he came to clear it, my companions barely heard or noticed him. This is something you dont see that often anymore.Halfway the meal, calm, bouncy live music started to play. For me it was a tat too much but that is again a matter of personal preference, it certainly was a cherry on top of the experience.The meal covered the basics: a bottle for the table and breadsticks to nibble on. The bread came with an olive spread but when requested, they brought some butter.I ordered their carpaccio, it had a simple yet elegant presentation. It was a little smaller than Im used to, and perhaps a little heavy on the oil.Though portion sizes was nothing to complain about. For the main course I had ordered the chicken, and not only was it well prepared but it was an amount that made it worth the money. Crunchy, tender, with a well blended pine pit sauce, the food was up the standard that they promise.Overall service, presentation and quality/price ratio follow up to the promise the exterior makes and you can tell the place has been polished.It is a little more than your average restaurant, its the kind of place to stop for a proper, elaborate lunch, the right atmosphere to celebrate a special occasion or to make your day special.I didnt see anything that was worth taking a star away.

Friendly waiter/staff but the food wasn‘t delicious. Spaghetti aglio olio - one of the easiest dishes in the world - tasted like engine oil with a taste of chili. We live next to Italy and it was really disappointing to call this an Italian restaurant.They don‘t even know how to cook spaghetti al dente.My girlfriend had the sea bass and it was honestly one of the most disgusting things I‘ve ever tried.We told that the waiter and at least we didn’t have to pay for the fish.Would not recommend the restaurant or either the hotel Alphen.

Bare interiors, boring menu with nothing exciting and lacking ambience. I loved the old menu, the previous quirky look. Now the restaurant at Constantia Alphen looks like any other restaurant. I’d skip it.

Every place we went to in and around Cape Town was great, but this one was the best. We took a large-ish party here and everything was perfect.

Disappointing food - mussel starter over salted, fillet main good but cold, tiramisu dessert the worst Ive ever had dry with layers of gelatin? - improved with a tot of brandy for R46!
