Stone breaker restaurant is located in the 3 building complex of Protea hotel. There is serviced as well the breakfast of the hotel. For launch and dinner it is accessible also from non hotel residents. Summer it should awesome as it has outside tables with Table mountain view. The quality is good but do not expect 3 star Michelin culinary...It is decent. It will feed you pretty good. Prices as reasonable.
The restaurant is part of the Marriott Protea Hotel. It offers all you can eat breakfast and some of the best coffees in town. Features outdoor seating overlooking Signal hill and the waterfront. It’s 5 min away from the beach and a few entertainment destinations. The food is delicious and staff are exceptionally helpful.
Good price. nice service. not a very good view
Good food and vibrant culture
Had a very disappointing buffet breakfast at Stonebreakers. All the hot breakfast items were cold. I ordered a poached egg which never arrived and received a fried egg instead, when all my other breakfast items had already been eaten due to them taking forever to poach 1 egg. The service was extremely slow, even though the place was empty. Id hate to find out what its like during peak or busy seasons. The staff seemed half asleep. The coffee was cold and tasted more like diesel, than an actual brew. This was the MOST horrible meal Ive ever had. Definitely not worth the R390 bill that came with it. I hope Protea Hotel seriously does an overhaul of its restaurant. One expects far better from an establishment located on the V&A Waterfront. We had a much better experience at the Protea Hotel in Mowbray. Please dont bother eating at Stonebreakers, there are much better places to eat at on the V&A with reasonable prices and better service.
It was lovely and they accommodated our noise, the food was on point and the service was amazing.
Friendly and accommodative staff plus the food is great. Place is nice and clean with modern layout.
A very beautiful and well organized restaurant... but the staff is kak. Although I enjoyed the experience regardless.
Quality not quantity.Great buffet , with delicious food. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will be back...
Food was very nice and healthy. Service was excellent. I would recommend it
Family enjoyed an evening out together. Food excellent and service good without being overbearing.
If there was only one place I could go and stuff myself , this would be it. Im never concerned about details on the buffet menu because there is always nice food on display. Definitely going back here again.
Lovely food and amazing client service. Will definitely go again
So relaxing vibe and good food
Loved it
Good food, good variety
Great service professional staff good food
Though Sometimes the waiters take long to attend to you. Loved the reception and the food was very great
The staff go out of their way to help you when asked, but sometimes you need to ask them. The coffee from the espresso bar is first rate.
Lovely place to have breakfast and dinner
Excellent food, good service and good location in Cape Town
They had a very nice food
Never been there I couldnt find the place
Okay but not quite up to standard for full buffet level... No Sunday Roasts/Carver and very small range of desserts as well
Average service, could be more personal
Elegant restaurant.Fantastic selection from buffet.
Convenient for the hotel and university visitors.
Good people great service
Beautiful and food is awesome.
Very nice place
Enjoyed the food
Nice view
Food was okay.
Breakfast: Large selection of food, but unfortunately not very convincing. Hard bread, freshly made pancakes for doughy and with onion flavor, cold bacon, toast-tasting toast. Service also rather impersonal. Do not we need again.
