Oh, still the best filter coffee and koesisters in town, the traditional ones, not twisties.Went there with guests on Sept 15. It ended up being a great dinner party of days gone by. Good spot, good food, good company. Who can better that? Very reasonable price.Home cooking! We had the lovely Bobotie, real Cape cuisine. It was tasty, the way we like it. Pet friendly. Disabled entrance and easily accessible bathroom.

A friend who lives around the corner suggested Stellas. I was eating later so had the smallest option on the menu - FRIKKADEL, MASH & TOMATO/ONION RELISH. Best was the side Chilli/Mayo sauce all @ only R29, just enough for me. I asked to maybe make Pilchard fishcakes as I felt sure Stella could do these for next time. Ill call or e-mail in advance for next visit. E-mail address? Thanks Mike & DanielPilchard fishcakes? Yes I did actually pop by with some cleaned pilchards in and then called Stella in advance and there they were done - to delicious perfection - THANK YOU Stella. Maybe an added menu item? Be back soon also with a new customer from nearby for your Sunday Roast lunches - also good to know! Thanks Mike & Gail

Really good Cape/South African dishes prepared home-style & worth a try! Takeaways may be a good option as the restaurant is very casual.

Absolutely amazing place. Quick bites, long dinners, relaxed breakfasts. No matter the occasion this place is great. They offer the most amazing traditionally South Africa food here, from the classic babotie all the way to malva pudding and custard. Their smoothies are unique and a definite must try.

Authentic Cape Afrikaner food ate really low prices. Its a tiny 2-person operation with really low prices so dont expect too much, but lovely unhurried vibe and very cheap.Imagine stepping into a local cafe in a tiny town in the Karoo or Namib desert - thats Stellas.A lovely break from Sea Points rush-rush-pay-pay alternatives.

This relaxed walk in main road cafe with a great view of signal hill, unpretentious singage and decor, is the perfect place for a great value, simple bacon and eggs breakfast, or a casual lunch. If youre sick of being ripped off by the a la carte prices at the hipster joints, or the souless offerings of the competitively priced franchises - then this spot is worth checking out. Just dont be surprised to find it full of pensioners and other thrifty locals, as its a not-so-hidden gem.
