L O V E this restaurant! Theyve really made an effort to be unique and stand out. Everything on their menu is plant-based (even though most of the time you cant tell). Their prices are also really good for the amount of food you get. I highly recommend everyone visits here to see how quirky the place is, and to taste the awesome food they make. The staff are also amazing and friendly. It can be a bit of a struggle to find parking, as it is in the city, so if you stay close by maybe try just walking or grabbing an Uber there. It really is one worth planning a visit to!
Lovely atmosphere. Great good. Good coffee. Enjoyed the confectionery - cheesecake and florentines are my favourite 😋
Cozy atmosphere and the food is so yummy. Friendly staff! As a vegan curious person, dining at Plant Cafe was lovely. We will definitely be back!
Incredible specials for really good and tasty food! What a find in Cape Town. Give it a try.....exceptional value for money and really delectable desserts too.
I really liked this restaurant. Over the last couple of weeks I made an effort to look for vegan restaurants and this is definitely one worth checking out. Lovely open atmosphere and calm setting, great location with ample parking space and clean bathrooms. Food was stunning. Our little boy loved the mac and cheese. This is definitely one for our books and we will go back very soon.
One of my absolute favourite places to eat. The music is great, the prices are good, service is friendly and helpful - I wanted to taste the “bacon” and mushrooms so the waitress helped me to alter my dish. The interior decoration is unpretentious and authentic I adore this place. I ate here twice in two days, I just couldn’t stay away.
Best spaghetti and vegan meatballs in the world. Lovely menu and good drinks.
Delicious recipes and friendly service - youll feel right at home when you dine at Plant!Gorgeous, vegan recipes that will delight your tastebuds whatever youre craving. I try something new every time I visit!
The menu is quite good.. Theres alot of options to choose from especially if you on a vegan diet
I love love this place!! From the most amazing food, to the exceptional service, it really could not get better. Such tasty food, and the food is of such good quality. Highly recommended, for everyone, vegan or not. Thank you Plant!!
We came for lunch, excited to visit our first fully vegan restaurant in Cape Town - it did not disappoint. The menu has something to suit all tastes - from Asian flavours to vegan twists on South African dishes. On our first visit for lunch we had the breakfast burrito and nachos. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful - suggesting the burrito to us as one of the best things on the menu. He wasn’t wrong. We really loved our lunch, so came back a couple of days later for dinner. On this visit we had the tasting plate to start - Home made ‘cream cheese’, carrot ‘salmon’, pickles with delicious bread. For mains we had the bobotie and rice paper rolls. It was great to be able to try an African inspired dish!Everything was really reasonably priced, especially compared to what we are used to in London.Happy to see use of bamboo straws, which were also for sale. We even took home some delicious mushroom biltong.Highly recommend!
The service was friendly & attentive. The 4 of us went not knowing what to expect but we enjoyed the starter combo (suggested by the supervisor). Our mains were yummy! Only I enjoyed the juice. It is an acquired taste but the supervisor again stepped in & made a suggestion of the green juice which all of us liked. He also told us about the Sunday menu they were working on. It sounded delicious! I certainly would like to go back!
It was my first time at Plant,Loop Street today and was a bit dissapointedFirstly the cashier had no change and had to count coins out of her personal wallet for me,second the doughnut I bought is really distasteful, you can taste the raw dough on the inside🙁The babotie I ordered was good, however not something I will try again
We order the Schnitzel and the BBQ ribs. The pictures I added show the awfulness of our dishes and how much I regret my choice. While they are supposed to be two different things they are clearly the same seitan. The bbq sauce is plain tomato sauce and the mushroom sauce that was described in the menu wasn’t sent. And the salad that they sent is plain and tasteless. We had gone to have dinner a week ago and had a pleasant experience, but this has shown me that they can show total lack of interest in their customers. Compared to the great level of service shown from other places this is unacceptable. A great disappointment.I hope you do a deep revision of the services you provide.
Love the restaruant look and feel ! Love the friendly staff! Love the delicious and wholesome food! Always going back and never disappointed
Great spacious vegan restaurant with an excellent variety to choose from.
Love at first sight / bite!Everything is plant based and allot of gluten free options too.
Such a pleasant experience. Very friendly service and the food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.
I was never really a fan of vegan food, but this place has proven to me that when done right, it is so, so good. Their prices are better than most restaurants in the city.
Fast Food done well....
Lovely food. Large variety of gluten free options.
Always came to Plant whenever in Cape Town.Last week two mates and I got takeaway meals of their amazing beans enchiladas - mine had an old box of Lion Matches stuck to the bottom!I was really disappointed and tried to call them numerous times to give them this feedback, to no avail. I always always raved about the food here, but this experience was a huge let down. During a pandemic one hopes that cleanliness/health and safety measures are tighter, especially in the food prep areas.I’ll spare everyone the unappetising picture.
Shocking. Waited 30 minutes for a dish of Pho. Was inedible. Ran out of time and no lunch !
Phenomenal veg food, friendly staff, and its decor is a really nice balance of earthy and modern. Totally recommended.
Tasty plant based food. Will never go wrong.
Expensive and a little disappointing, juice was nice but they didnt have a lot of the items on the menu (no beet burger) and one of the group had to wait for their food for ages after the rest arrived. If youre a vegan its probably a good choice. If youre not, there are so many more reasonably priced and better food joints in Cape Town.
The food wasnt up to standard. If I can make it better at home whats the point of paying so much more.
Great food, great prices. Generous portions that are filled with flavor. Lots of variety and many dessert options to choose from. A must stop for any person.
We went to Plant restaurant for supper.Their menu gives you a wide range of meals to choose from.We decided to try the Plant and Mushroom burgers which were great, very tasty and filling. The service was friendly and fast. Its an excellent place for a breakfast, a lunch or supper meals even if you are not a vegetarian or vegan.I would definitely recommend Plant
Been there twice. Both times, no atmosphere. Left without ordering anything due to being the only table in the restaurant. Wouldve stayed if there was at least some music playing and if all staff arent constantly staring at you.
The food is absolutely amazing. We tried many dishes and I can honestly say the flavours were well balanced, with great texture and very fresh. The staff are very friendly too.
Staff is friendly, and owner has a sweet smile. Plus, they have buffet now, and selected craft beers, all in all, come, enjoy food and have fun place..
I love the croissants of this place. Even some of the muffin and pastries are good , not very sugary and very healthy.
The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious and the staff are always kind, patient, and helpful! Even if youre not vegan Im sure youll be able to find something on the menu for you.
A previously must-visit vegan friendly spot seems to have taken a turn for the worse. Staff are seen not wearing face masks properly covering both their mouth and nose, while handling food and customers. One bottle of sanitizer stands by the door only to be used by customers entering the venue. To top it all off they had no mango to make the mango smoothie :( - and multiple other food items on the menu that we wanted to order.
Really good vegan food. I recommend!
The place is just wonderful ! The food was great and very very tasty! We had such a blast eating here! And drinking the #kombucha
Great food! A good place to take your omnivore friends, they wont miss the lack of animal.
Authentic food even non vegans will enjoy. French on site chef putting love into it.
The place and atmosphere was very relaxing. The food was amazing, first time eating at a vegan place and it was a pleasant surprise. The staff is very friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Kind of meh. Staff are disinterested and untrained. Food doesn’t live up to the price. Place could use a clean.
Food and fresh juice tasted really good... Service could be better.
Delicious vegan food- the flavours were great and varied.
The food very nice But the place needs a face-lift especially the toilet. The waitresses very pleasant. They aim to pleaze
Superb! Worth travelling to eat at. I wish that I lived in Cape Town so that I could go more often.
Vegan food was Phenom. However it did take long to serve. Will still recommend them.
A really loverly restaurant! I’m a meat eater but had some loverly quesadillas! They have a great range of dishes and some loverly deserts. They have an extensive drinks menu with juices, smoothies, cocktails, mocktails and coffees. The staff are really friendly with a great atmosphere as you eat, surrounded by plant walls :)
Pure vegan food available. Vegan Croissants are very nice.
Most tasty Vegan food you can get in CPT. Well priced and good portions. 🌱🍔🌯
Great variety. Their black bean burger & seitan wrap are super tasty.
The food was great!!! The music was just Whitney Houston and Celine Dion though for a full hour .
Super tasty vegan food 😋
Plant is the place to be the energy around the place the waiters welcome you with smiles live music which keeps the night going. The taste of the food is so delicious the way it is presented thumbs up to the evening chef who puts her all you can see that the dish has been prepared with all the love. Keep up the good work Plant you really the best. I can recommend it if you get in town looking for a place to have your nice yummy and delicious Vegan meals dont hesitate to step in Plant!
Attended a wrap party dinner at Plant, amazing food and awesome vibe! Thank you🌸
Great and fresh vegan food with gluten free options. Cozy and slightly home style setup. Definitely a restaurant you should visit if you like healthy but also great tasting food.
Another fabulous time at Plant, our family celebrating a birthday on Heritage day, the same as last year, the year before and our 3rd year visiting this restaurant. Our youngests birthday celebration. Kudos to chef Angela, you never disappoint. This time youve exceeded all expectations. Thank you for going the extra mile. Much appreciated. Till next year, Heritage Day, 24 September 2020. Keep going, keep up the good work, another feather in your cap. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Apologies, our family depleted the gin and tonic, now you know to stock for 24 Sept 2020.
Ive been here twice. This is a vegan place. Im very much a meat eater, however this was great. I didnt even miss the meat.Everything here is unique including the great selection of interesting beer.Vegans, this is how you reach people. Through their stomach, not by toytoying in front of my local butcher.
Food wasnt as good we expected. Will order different menu items next time.
