Bakery is very inviting, you just want to try all their cakes. I always get my favorite custard slice.

Always so satisfied after a strawberry milkshake 🍓, mince samoosa and chicken roll. These are a few of my favourite things served at the roadhouse. I dont even mind the drive or the wait, that is how much I love these particular menu items. They are usually very busy, so its best to go there knowing you are possibly going to wait in a queue or you could order ahead and still wait in a queue when collecting. Either way, its all worth the wait though. Find your favourite, make it the reason you go there and then add a new item with every visit. Thats my suggestion 😉😉😉

Reminds me of the old days of good flavourful food from the 80s and 90s. Theyve maintained the same great taste since opening. Pricing is ok, guess on par with every other place but I would make the portions bigger. But other than that, I would call myself a regular from now on.

Very clean and modern space in Athlone, big reputation precedes them. I however found the service to be unacceptably slow when there werent so many people to serve. The adjacent space was a delight, perfect setting for events.

Sadly did not live up to my expectations!!!The service was incredibly slow and the wait for my order even worse. Staff not attentive, despite numerous requests to advise on how long its going to be. Eventually my food arrived without the milkshake, which i found to be ridiculous in itself to then wait another ten minutes for something as simple as a milkshake, which should have been the first item made....also whilst waiting a lot of other impatient customers were also rather annoyed.

Food is and has always been great. The service on the other hand has been getting worse as the years have gone by. Now days it is not even worth phoning your orders before arriving, as when you arrive you still need to wait an excessive time for the order. The poor service outweighs the good food.

Food was relatively bland, chips was oily. service exceptionally poor with managers parading up and down without consideration why someone is waiting 45 min for food. Price super expensive for tasteless food, dissapointed by the experience and highly unlikely to return again.

Definitely in NEED a more efficient & less time-consuming PHONE ORDER COLLECTION process. We , amongst many others, waited more than an hour & 16minutes for our food. We were told the waiting time would be 35minutes. All the very best with streamlining the process. Your food never dissappoints tho, MANY THANK for the great food & milkshakes Always.

Good food, probably serves the best samosas in the city, the kids seem to like their milkshakes and although a bit pricy the food is well prepared and worth the wait!Im yet to visit Wembley without a queue of people, having said this, you go to Wembley with this in mind!Good ablution facilities that are hygienic and clean ... you could pretty much get everything in one place, from convenience store to Butchery to bakery, always a treat when visiting Wembley Group

Not a fan of the Whopper and a couple of other menu items at this place. But overall the taste of the items I do like is consistent, prices are good and hours of operation convenient. Also, they sell lime milkshake here. Tasty!

First time trying them out...Amazing food

This is a famous take away restaurant for the cape town locals. You get value for your money, the food is really tasty. Here you will find many local dishes. I recommend you try this one, you wont go wrong. Try the mutton salomie and have a chocolate or banana milkshake, its delicious.

Maybe Im just fussy but I didnt think the food was that WOW I bought a mutton Salome and there was 2 pieces of meat on with a alot of potatoes and gravy on, I also bought a full house steak sandwich and there was 4 chips on, no cheese lots of lettus.Was rather disappointing coming all the way from Brackenfell.

Might be a controversial rating but the mince samoosa is the best item on the menu. I would follow that by the lime milkshake (though its extremely sweet).I know what youre thinking, but its true. The Whopper is overrated.

The Wembley Roadhouse is truly iconic. The simple roadhouse concept has evolved into an entire chain of family owned business. It’s always nice to see the constant investment the family is making into their business , to improve and refurbish the facilities. There is a bakery, a butcher and a supermarket. There is also a lovely eating area and prayed facilities.The food at the roadhouse is packaged in very authentic roadhouse style but there is some room for improvement- the fries definitely need some work.

We used to love getting samosas from this roadhouse when we stayed in Cape Town 15 years ago. 15 Years later it is just like we remembered! During our recent visit, we had to stop at Wembley Roadhouse twice - that is how good it is!

The place has a long history serving fast food late at night to hungry clubbers, but it has modernised with better lighting, security, and, of course, parking for those who still wish to eat in their cars.The seating area is minimal and there is no table service (or chairs sometimes) and it helps to order ahead if youre hungry as the wait can be as long as 30 minutes.Dont let hot chips get cold

The place attracts a lot of people. Very clean and neat. Telephone orders are encouraged with a waiting time of approx. 30minsPricing, In my opinion, is on the steep side unfortunately. I was not impressed with the size of the beefeater masala burger. For the price, the size was ever so slightly bigger than a KFC snack burger and lets not even talk about the size of the beef patty or piece of beef that was in the burger. This is just my opinion though.

The food is excellent. I go back for it any day but be prepared to wait. The way the staff treat customers needs lots of work. They need to understand that customers are paying for their food and not getting it for nothing. Also a friendly smile never hurt anyone.

Aspects of restaurant not in sync between FOH and kitchen area leaving a person getting food with cold chips but the Masala Burger is Delicious. Dont know why double thick milkshakes were refused.

Looks clean and well organised. .. my first timeWent again today 2019. What a surprise. The whopper was surprisingly good. The service fast and friendly. Ample parking and clean and efficient teller counters added to the sense of satisfaction all around. We ordered telephonically and the order was ready when we got there twenty minutes later. We added samosas and chicken rolls to the order which was dealt with effectively. At home we enjoyed the mince curry with superb rice and sauce as well as the chicken curry. The whopper was ok. Not amazing. Meat a bit dry and I was amused to find a round chip in the whopper. The samosas and rolls were delicious and devoured very quickly. Oh and we had apple strudel. All in all a most pleasant experience. Will return!!

This is a very upmarket road house. The layout is excellent and neat and very clean. For a person from johannesburg the food is bland but the locals love it. Most of the food is delicious. They should improve on their service time. I ordered two desserts banana splits, 2 hot chocolate and 1 milk shake I wait 35 minutes. On the whole this is a good road house.

I always had the highest of regard for Wembley Roadhouse. The finest ingredients used & best tasting meals prepared with them. That was quite some time back. Now, inconsistency is the order of the day. One week the quality & taste of the food items is excellent, the next it will be just average. But, one thing that always stays consistent & is of a very high quality is the customer service of staff members Mary, Martha & Caroline. Frontline workers they are, but they lead by example when it comes to serving customers. 2 STARS FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD ,BUT 5 STARS FOR THEIR SERVICE.

I went for a takeaway meal based on the overall good impression of their service... But discovered that when their systems are offline they are unable to assist you manually... that to me was absurd. I was unhappy.

Waited way to long , close to an hour and place was not busy .What was called a chilli cheese hotdog was some kind of white sauce and not a cheese sauce as indicated , sauce was stuck on the packaging as well so wasn’t pleasant at all . Over priced for such a small meal ! Not impressed

Consistantly good food however their milkshakes are very runny lately and the staff are not very flexible when it comes to serving the tandoori chicken portions you prefer..if someone wants breast peices give it to them...it doesnt cost more or less..some people like thighs some dont.

Food is always nice, but the service is bad, the no friendliness just sour.

Food is always good, so much so, i come from the Northern subs just to get a beef eater. The only thing that puts me off is it is sometimes difficult to get in and out of parking with the way some customers park. Always packed so be prepared to wait for food as it can take some time. I try to call ahead but they do not always pick uo up the phone. But like i said the food is never a disappointment, whether you are there for a hotdog or just a samoosa.
