The restaurant has a really nice interior. Food is good but a bit pricey. I think overall it was a good experience although I think that the service could improve. The waiter was not the friendliest ever. Burger price range at 160 and was good, but have had better (all to do with how fresh the bun is). Will definitely give it another go.

Wow their Thai Red Chicken curry is absolutely devine, perfectly balanced and so flavourful. Such a scrumptious selection of veggies in it too. I really enjoyed your vegetarian burger as well. Cant wait to eat your delicious food again.

Delightful setting in the very beautiful Noordhoek, staff are amazing and friendly and the food is good. Prawn pasta was bit dry but incredible steak and dumplings. Definitely worth a visit.

So glad we discovered this gem! A beautiful tranquil place away from the crowds, with the most amazing view.The staff are a cut above. The service outstanding. The facilities, clean. It was wonderful to be able to hold a menu in my hands instead of having to scan. There is a great variety and their vegan burger was outstanding. Well presented!Anyone looking for a spot away from the hustle and bustle, this is a place to try! I will be back.

Very pleasant. They have specials on some nights for burgers. Buy one and get one free on a Tuesday. The burgers are worth it. View is beautiful facing the common. A great place to visit with friends and family.

Super friendly staff, excellent food and a really nice location. We enjoyed dinner and wine here.Almost 5 stars...but again no sweet potato fries and we booked a special table which was taken when we arrived.Enough parking spots, nice little terrace.

This is by far the worst dining experience I’ve had in Cape Town. My burger was raw and cold to the touch. The experience I had thereafter was just awful and I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant despite the mirage of it backdrop. The less said the better.

It takes one bad waiter to taint an establishment, James was recommended but for R650 bill the experience did not justify the price. The food was not as good as I expected.

Jakes has a high food standard, despite the wide variety in menu selection youll get the same great flavor at any of the restaurants. Their flatheads are delicious and the curry. On the common has indoor and outdoor seating and good for large parties. Ample parking and wheelchair friendly. They charge corkage.

Book early if you want to dine in the restaurant! Otherwise, the bar / lounge upstairs is still a nice spot for drinks and meals which are tasty, if a little overpriced. Good atmosphere overall.

What a fantastic gem in the heart of Noordhoek.Views all round. Food is fantastic. Great bar and restaurant up stairs. Also very nice to just setup your laptop and do some work in the mor ingGets a little.more festive at night. Coffee 4/5 ... Jakes breakfast 10/10. Quiet and peaceful with great tunes upstairs. no kids upstairs. Downstairs is a family vibe with places for children to play.

Lovely, although we only had coffee and milkshakes. They were excellent and the place is so beautiful. The staff were also so good. My only complaint is its right next to a noisy road, next time well sit inside to avoid the noise.

Had the pork belly more then 5 times there and absolutely loved it, Thursday I took my friend for her birthday and was looking so forward to it,what a disappointment....pork belly was deep fried and the lovely sauce that normally comes with it was replace with some oilly sauce.i was very disappointed.

Had a take away beyond meat (vegan) burger from here and it was great! And Im a carnivore. Easily one of the better burgers Ive had in SA as the burger game in SA is not great. Fries and side salad was very good too. Will definitely be back for more. Well done Jakes!

If you want a vegetarian burger do not go for one here. It was shocking and us way overpriced. Standard burger was good, but also not cheap. I asked for the naked version - an extra R30 for salad, and also extra for fries. Ended up just shy of R200 for the burger. There are specials days, when you get the cheaper burger free. But still not worth it. We were fairly regular patrons, but we wont be back.

Delicious excellent food. Well prepared. Service and staff helpful and friendly. Relaxed environment for a fine dining experience. Highly recommend this quality restaurant experience.

Booked our AGM dinner here for around 20 people.Nice venue, well patronized.We chose a fixed 2 course meal with 2 variationsThe waitrons kept the ordering process well organized with seating plans.Food was good tasty faire.All in all a great eveningI rate this a 7/10

It was meh. Waitress was lovely, decor gorgeous inside. Outside is a little meh too. Details missing. Specials steak was overcooked. Took some foodie tourists there as its on the Peninsula Tour route, but not keen to go back.

Great service and a delightful setting. However, those facts may not compete with the original and tasty menu. This is a perfect stop on a Chapmans Peak excursion. It has quickly become a Western Cape favourite spot and hidden gem.

Jakes has become a staple for me, a trip to the Cape Peninsula would simply not be completed without dinner at Jakes. Their staff are always welcoming and accommodating and they offer an extensive menu fit for everyone. Their vegan dishes are extensive and i can strongly recommend their Gourmet Burgers. I would recommend making a reservation.

What should i say?!?We have been there yesterday.It was the second day after opening.May i should not to hard...Stuff was friendly and nice.Food was good-ok.But the forgotten food.My starter and my main dish!And the forgott the main dish of another peroen as well.We have been 10 people thr for lunch, forgetting 3 dishes is quite a lot.And we have been a working day, quite in rush.They didn’t offered anything as a sorry.. shame..On top, coffee machine was broken..should i give another try?!?

The food was good and the menu interesting. The service was somewhat slow, although we probably arrived at a waitron changeover time. My biggest concern, however, is the lack of thought given to the entrance for customers in wheelchairs and the fact that the only disabled toilet facility is marked for staff only! As a disabled customer will probably not make any effort to revisit Jakes on the common in Noordhoek again.

As a venue and setting Jakes is up there with the best. Watching the horses frolic in the fields across the road as you get served great coffee is just amazing.This place has the best eggs benedict and eggs shakshouka we have had in cape town. Staff are warm and friendly and engaging. We just love this place. Thank you Jakes for a stunning valentines morning experience. Fives stars all the way.

Our cycling club recently held our AGM here and they were very accommodating. The hot beverages and assorted muffins were delicious, and there was ample, safe parking space for our bikes.

Had a delightful breakfast with friends . Service was excellent. Food took a while to arrive but was very tasty. Did not like the coffee.

Seriously overpriced. The average cost for a main or burger is at least 130 rand and what you get doesnt reflect the price. The chip side is small.A beyond burger should not cost 165r that is just proposterous, at other restaurants it costs no more than 130.I ordered the mexican bean soup and should have sent it back. I expected black bean soup but what I got was literally a can of crushed tomatoes mixed with leftover veggies and a can of black beans. For 130 rand?? Should have sent it back.Seriously do better.If you are in the area I would suggest to find another place to eat

Got there a couple hours before closing on a Sunday afternoon so it was a pretty dull environment. Service was great and the ribs were brilliant however. Its somewhat a pricey establishment, but arguably good value too!

Over priced. No burger is worth what they charge. Last time I ate here I had fish and chip and I think the fish was frozen I&J not fresh hake. The chip I got a small mcD chip on my plate and they where cold. Everyone else had burgers and they all complained about the tiny chip portion and again mcD chips. Ridiculously bad service. All and all not worth going to. Bad service, bad portions, horrid!!! Cant stand bad service. Waiters chewing gum, nothing good about the place. Even the beer is over prices and draft was flat and warm. After complaining I got a Second flat warm beer.

A new discovery of a very good restaurant. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely staff, easy going atmosphere and prompt service. With that said, they need to work on the vegetarian burger options. I paid R165 for a beyond beef burger and the only exciting thing was the patty. Apart from that, everything else was value for money!
