Great sushi. Made before your very eyes. High quality ingredients. Affordable. Friendly, highly skilled staff. It did take a while at first for us to get our plates of sushi but there was a big 20+ table at the same time as our group of 8. Nevertheless, more staff came in and soon our plates of all-you-can-eat sushi came out quickly. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Payment was easy. I’ll be back, I’ll just be sure to reserve ahead of time. I’d recommend the tempura rolls. Anything from the menu would be good, really.

Great quality sushi and great value for money. Tiger rolls are amazing and havent found anything similar at other sushi restaurants.

The selection of Sushi is broad but more importantly it is high quality and thats all thanks to the itamae ( Sushi Chef ). She meticulously crafted the sushi in such a way its identical to the menu and the portion sizes are perfect and delicious.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will be back with friends.

They don’t know what a poke bowl is or the flavors involved. We ordered via Uber and can’t send the meal back because of poor quality and hardly any Salmon Sashimi. I really hope to be contacted to rectify our experience.

What fantastic sushi this is. Will definitely be around for another try. The Wasabi is amazing! Would definitely recommend this place. Clean, efficient and sushi size is perfect. Not too big and not too small. The ginger was nice and tasty. Price is relatively great aswell and conveniently located near the main road.

What a delightful sushi place off Obs lower main road. Sushi comes quickly and is good quality and value for money.The place was a bit quiet, but we didnt mind.

Good value for money buffet. The salmon is super thinly sliced compared to other places but the buffet does allow 1 portion of salmon sashimi and 3 portions of salmon roses which is nice. A good option for some cheap sushi on a weeknight or when you arent looking for anything fancy per se. Prices are good, sushi is decent and fresh, and the place is clean. Would definitely eat here again. (R179 sushi buffet & R189 sushi plus Chinese food buffet)

Started going here in 2016, and it has since stayed my favorite place to get sushi from. Great prices, great sushi. The takeaway option is prompt and they dont shy away from soy sauce.

After driving past this place almost everyday, pleading and asking to come here we finally made it and it did not disappoint... Completely different look from outside than in. Lovely tables and chairs. Ordered drinks and then food, it was surprisingly fast for a sushi place. Deep fried sushi was still hot when we got it so had to wait a little but it was worth it because it was really good. Good service but is very echoey and bare inside. Will be back

I have been going to and ordering in from Edos since 2014 when I first started living in CT. Absolutely love it, and in my opinion, nothing beats it; theres a lovely, homey atmosphere, lovely people, and excellent food.Their deep fried sushi is a MUST TRY.

Overall the sushi and sashimi was nice and fresh. Open kitchen so you can see your sushi being prepared. The service was good but a little smile would not hurt. Nothing exceptional on the sushi menu and the restaurant itself is a bit cold and old. Simple but still good and value for your money.

Cosy spot for a quick eat, sushi was great. Staff is super friendly and was willing to help me change some pieces in the combo platters as my boyfriend doesnt eat fish only prawns. Prices are very affordable.

R159 for sushi buffet and R169 for sushi and Chinese food buffet.Both menus for the buffet are somehow more limited than other restaurants but there is enough variety to be satisfied. There are limitations on how many sashimi portions and roses but that’s quite standard.Waitress and staff were attentive and helpful.The food was made to order so that’s always a plus.

The Sushi was amazing and the price is very reasonable. I liked the variety of food that they sell as well. Located on the main road so its easy to find and to travel to should you take public transport. Good service as well although it isnt as full and packed.

Delicious sushi buffet

We tried the Edo Sushi for the first time last night and the sushi was fantastic, freshly made very tasty. The waiters were attentive and service overall was good. The restaurant was clean & neat. Overall a good meal and the sushi/chinese buffet option is great value for money, we will certainly be going back.

Very nice food. Ive had takeaways from them many times. First time eating there. Good selection of fresh and tasty foods.

I would definitely recommend the sushi, they had reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Staff couldve been better though. Slow service and some waitrons did not know what different sushi contained. I didnt try the hot food, but from the looks of it the portions were decent.

I have eaten a lot of sushi in the Observatory and Rondebosch area and this is really one of the best. The menu may not be out of this world exciting but they consistently produce good quality sushi. Coupled with prompt and friendly service....excellent.

I went over with much excitement for my first meal as the place is well rated and reviewed. Sadly, the food was truly terrible. Sashimi was micro thin, rice had a weird twang to it leaving most of the rolls tasting slightly off. For the se money there are better options available.

Such great sushi and service, such a shame its an understated place. More people should come here

The worst sushi and Thai food Ive ever had..I ordered delivery for 30 pieces and a Thai dish. Sushi is the size of a 5c coin and Thai food had no flavor and no soy sauce was packed in. Will never ever order from them again. They expensive too compared to the other sushi restaurants in the area. Im so livid.. Kakest place. I called the owner and he was unapologetic ! My family and I was left hungry.

Some days it is quiet and service is fast, other days extremely busy and one will wait a while for food, dont come too hungry on a friday. Great sushi and chineses buffet with a 3 portion limit on salmon roses and 1 portion on sashimi, the rest of the sushi and food is so good the limit doesnt matter. Groups of 6 and 8 get great discounts. Alcohol and soft drinks available.

Well priced and really lovely owners, but the area attracts some strange characters during the off season. I imagine once the students roll in its much more crowded.
