Very friendly pharmacist who greets with warmth as you enter. They have a health clinic so they provide a variety of services. The layout of the store is a bit unusual.

MAGGARDS STORE MANAGERTo whom it may concernI am deeply mortified and appaulled by the sheer prejudice and blantant disrespect and discrimination that was displayed and projected towards myself and my family at your MAGGARDS FAMILY PHARMACY(GRASSY Park)I never in my life experienced such crude and indirect racial discrimination.I entered MAGGARDS pharmacy this afternoon hoping to purchase some flu meds for my boys who had accompanied me along with my wife.We were greeted by a a welcoming gesture. After which my wife kindly asked if we could have our kids enter.(any refusal I would have understood seeing that it is covid and quite a small store). We were then knocked by such a snide condescending comment to which the gentleman askedWhat is next  are you going to ask to use the toilet too.Which made my wife immediately feel uneasy. We did not reply.I however had already entered the store with my son and oblivious of the aforementioned  sarcastic rhetoric.I then proceeded to the dispensary part of the store where I was greeted by a light skinned middle aged man who was behind the counter. I stated my case and asked for flu meds to which I added to check any medical aid funds or balance. To which I received a less than welcoming wait with empty stares and a cold demeanor. The brown skinned man that greeted my wife at the door now behind the counter said to the light skinned manfrom the fish market.(imitating a slight lisp). This was especially upsetting because it was referring to the newly fitted partial denture that I was wearing and displayed a slight lisp.this also spoke about the stereotypical stigma that coloured skin people extract their front teeth are criminals and are unemployed.Which I ignored and continued to speak to the pharmacist. My wife already quite uncomfortable literally rejected me checking with her about meds because of the judgemental prejudice stares(both felt by my wife and kids) to which she was subjected and later told me this.she felt as though she was assessed by what she was wearing in order to (guage respect and also to class what stereotypes we belonged to)the snide remarks stopped but now replaced by a filthy look of disgust and an elated blue eyed expression exclaiming that I am not covered. It seems as though the pharmacist was the happiest to exclaim this.We then left the store and started towards home obviously chatting and my wife alerted me to how racially discriminatory that felt and also how smothering it felt just entering the store. With my previous encounter was fairly pleasant with a sweet mild mannered lady. However I feel that I will not be returning and will discourage everyone  I know from supporting their business

Covid-19 protocols are in place. Friendly staff. Open after hours until 00h00 on Saturday. The area is fairly busy, with the petrol station(added serveilance) a few meters away, which makes it safer to visit later in the evening. The ONLY pharmacy open in the area!

I was registered with these guys for my chronic medication. I like supporting privately owned pharmacies because I believe in supporting small business.I was sadly disappointed. They simply lost my details and then tasked me sort out the problem. Two locums who worked there had left them; meaning that theres none who remembers my history now.I so much regret choosing these guys and putting my own health in jeopardy. The guy who introduced himself as the owner, one Mr Khan sadly has little or no idea of patients rights or of client service. I will improve my rating if they change their current pathetic level of care.Meanwhile, my advice is, please avoid the place

I had the worst experience with the pharmist Mr Khan whom i found to be rude and judgemental! I am a brain cancer patient in chronic pain!My gp sent him a script for my meds which one of them is tramadol, which i collect 30 every 2 weeks some days the pain is worst than other days so i tend to take more, at first he was very nice and jokeyWe had then moved to the northern suburbs from Grassy park ive grown up in the south so all my family and friend are here! I informed Mr khan id be moving to thr north he then refused or interrogated me like a common criminal about why im bmbuying from him and accused me of buyimg at pharmacies in the north and by him! Which was not the case! Even if it was it had nothinf to do with him! He was in position of a valid script from my gp!If he was my age i would have given it to him in the shop but my parents taught me to respect my eldersI will never visit another magaards pharmacy again of they allow people like him to deal with clients!

None of their staff will ever get a job at clicks or dischem.Everything is overpriced. Always up selling and not giving you the cheapest first time around. Never giving you what you want. They always know better than other pharmacist and not to forget they know better than the doctors. Every visit to this place has been horrible. At night rather drive to wynberg pharmacy or Ariefas Pharmacy . Dont waste your time with this place. You will leave there more sick cause of their staff.

Words fail me to discribe how kak this pahmacy is. Yes its open late but no-one is able to explain simple things in english. Theres no prices on the items. Although I paid via medical aid they still changed me a levy which never happens at other phamaciesp. The security guard ended up trying to explain why they charging an extra levy.
