This restaurant is just spectacular, the quality of the food and personalized service makes it feel like you are eating real home cooked food at a friend or families house. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants but this one is the best by a country mile.

What a great find. We were looking for some real Indian food and we read tge reviews of this stunning place. Ricky, the owner greeted us like old friends. The smell in this quaint restaurant was amazing and we couldnt wait to see and of course taste the food. The garlic Naan, baked in a traditional oven was THE BEST I ever had, the curries did not dissapoint. The owner suggested a Shiraz and boy, that complimented the already delicious curry even more. Thank you for a great afternoon enjoying your cuisine

Amazing food and lovely venue and the best, friendliest service. The menu is extensive with many a choice of meats, as well as a larger vegetarian menu than most places. We were treated so well. Food arrived promptly and you could tell that good food and service is a priority. Personal attention from the owner. Highly recommend.

If you want a personalized experience with an attentive host who loves to get to know his guests better, Annapurna is definitely worth a visit. They say dynamite comes in small packages and this is especially true here! It is a tiny restaurant hidden away in a Durbanville shopping centre opposite Mica and in the same building as Kapstadt Brauhaus. I went there for a work anniversary with friends and I almost thought the restaurant was closed when the host opened up the doors. Thats when the place came to life. For every request, he made a plan. We told him what curries we were used to and whether we liked mild or hot curries, and based on our answers the host gave us some great advice and we ended up having a variety of delicious meals that we all shared, served in beautiful small Indian pots and accompanied by plates of yummy garlic butter naan. As a starter we had great samoosas served with tamarind sauce (tastes similar to chutney, only ten times better) and the host even shared some knowledge about Indian cuisine with us. I defnitely want to go again soon! The only thing to keep in mind is Covid19 - the place is small and very closed off, so it is a very intimate experience. I also noticed that different maps give different directions to the place. Ample underground parking available (heritage square). They also serve alcohol. Unfortunately no longer the Indian beer that I would have loved to try, but there are plenty other drinks to choose from. Curries range from butter chicken to rogan josh and so much more!

New to Durbanville we were looking for an Indian restaurant for my birthday. I am very glad that Google helped us to find Annapurna. From the word go, Ricky was friendly and helpful in finding the right meals for our extensive order - and was even willing to change it when I phoned later to ask for an alternative meal. When I got there to fetch our take away, I realised that I didnt have my card with me. For Ricky it was not nearly a problem and he allowed me to do an EFT from home. This is what I call being a fellow South African. On top of everything we had a very tasteful meal and great fun in tasting all the different flavours amongst us! What a great experience! And very affordable. We will definitely be back! 10 stars from us!

Lacking authenticity, this restaurant served us curry with the toughest of meat. While we ordered and paid for lamb, we definitely were not served lamb. Nor in colour, flavour or texture, that certainly was not lamb. We ordered pshwarie naan and were served a regular naan with some coconut sprinkled on it .... they were burnt on the one side and raw on the other. Hugely disappointed at how the quality of the food dropped.

If you are in the mood to be judged and glared at go to this stuck up place. I lived in the building for a year and its by far not cheap and yet they looked at me like the cat dragged me in. Their food lacks flavour, its just hot. No flavour, just like them. They are one of three parties who made my stay at heritage square very hard. And I have cancer, did chemotherapy and radiation and list my breast all during covid. So go and spend your money elsewhere. They discriminate.

Great restaurant, the food is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and I feel the prices are reasonable. I think a lot of people avoid Indian food as they think it is going to be too hot/spicy, the staff at Annapurna make it clear that you can have your food as spicy as you want, ranging from mild to very hot, which is great when you have a group with different tastes. Some in our group went for mild while I went for hot and everyone was very happy with their choice.

A Lovely place. The very nice atmosphere and nicely decorated. The food was beyond expectation. Very tasty caters for the mild and hot curry eaters. The manager is extremely friendly and welcoming. The staff members know the food on the menu very well and are more than willing to assist in your decision making. The only complaint I would have is that it was a little cramped due it being valentine day but hardly a major issue that would ruin an evening.

Absolutely stunning little restaurant. I went there for date night, upon entering we were greeted with a handshake by the owner, which is already a plus for me. The menu has a massive variety of meats to choose from as well as a lot of vegetarian options. My other half and I had no idea what to order and the owner simply did the order for us :). I was very impressed with the food. Taste, presentation, quantity, quality, 10/10 all around. Defintely value for money!!! The wine is a bit expensive though if you dont bring it from home. The owner put in a lot of effort catering for each individual guest and made it feel like we are eating out in his home, filled with love!

THIS IS A WARNING TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE INDIAN RESTAURANT CALLD ANNAPURNA IN DURBANVILLE. We both found this place to be Dark & Dingy although the food was just ok I really dont recommend this Indian Restaurant to anyone. The plates you eat off were Dirty & had to be wiped with a servette but the shock came when you turn the plate over it was filthy they looked like they had never ever seen soap & water & were just wiped with a dry cloth. It really is Disgusting how a restaurant that serves food on these plates to the public its shocking & I wonder what the kitchen looks like I think the health inspector should pay them a visit. I am a visitor to Durbanville & a friend took me there but never again will I go to Annapurna Indian Restaurant. It really shouldnt get any stars at all. Its a total Disgrace that they are allowed to serve the public with any food at all. You can clearly see that their licence to serve food should be taken from them & they should be closed down. This is a warning to anyone thinking of going there. We asked for Lamb curry & got Beef curry & both my friend & I had terrible indigestion after eating their food & it was very expensive!!!
