What an unforgettable experience. After a booking with a different hotel fell through, we found The Glen, what a blessing in disguise that was! When we arrived we were absolutely amazed by the service. Our baggage was taken to our room, and upon hearing that not only was it my birthday but also our wedding night, the staff went above and beyond our expectations. From complimentary sparkling wine, a slice of cheesecake delivered by all the staff singing happy birthday, and rose petals strewn all over our room to the incredible food and room service. I want to thank all the staff members who welcomed us with open arms and did everything they could to make our experience enjoyable. The staff is eager to help in any way they can, and we could see the employee satisfaction, an attestation to management. The one thing that went wrong would be that our ID documents were not returned to us at check-in, but we also forgot to retrieve them at check-out, which is entirely our own fault. BUT not even an hour after notifying the hotel of this mistake, they personally delivered it to us at our place of residence. WE COULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ENOUGH!! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I had a car booked with the hotel. I have email correspondences and phone calls of the person who assisted me. Three days before the time he called again to confirm. I paid in full. On the day when they did not pitch, I called to ask what the delay was. Only to find they are not coming anymore, as they thought it was a scam. How can it be a scam when they had my money in their bank account? The person I had conversations with, did not want to talk to me, and the manager on duty was so unprofessional and rude, he told me straight out he does not want to tell me his name. My experience with them was very bad, and I would not recommend anyone to try and do business with them. You will be greatly disappointed.

Honestly, I think by far the best place to stay over while being in Cape Town! The Glen Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel, and while its facilities and surroundings are already great by itself, its staff is AMAZING! They are so enormously customer oriented and want to make you have a great stay, even while its just for a dinner or a drink. Its remarkable how friendly and helpful they all are, and every single time with a great smile on their faces!We stayed over for 5 nights until December 31st and had an amazing experience! And about the breakfast: HEAVEN ON EARTH! This is how a superb breakfast needs to be!! Wide range of choices, fresh juices, ginger shots, cold pressed juices (multiple), all types of croissants (filled, plain, chocolate, etc.), fresh fruits, yoghurts, cheeses, etc. etc. It is just SUPERB!! I had one place around the world before with such breakfast, but now the Glen is the leading number 1 for me!After having spend some days in the wineries (Franschhoek) last days with NYE, we returned yesterday in Cape Town and flying out shortly. But we went one last night for drinks to the Glen. It was yet another amazing experience. The staff members recognized us, and asked how the past days were at the wineries. It tells something about them and about the hotel!For me, next time I am in Cape Town again, I will definitely stay over again at the Glen Hotel. And it is strongly recommended to everyone else!

What an absolutely amazing experience we had here. We stayed for 4 nights on our honeymoon and we were so sad to leave. The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the staff are truly wonderful. The most kind and caring people. We were made to feel so special and like we were part of the family. We 100% recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to The Cape Town area. Just incredible. What a stunning and truly boutique hotel. Mark, you have nailed this and your staff are a huge testament to the stellar experience had by my husband and I on our honeymoon. Ashley - what a guy! So lovely and went above and beyond for us. Even after we’d checked out to go to the wine lands, the amazing staff at Glen welcomed us back when we wanted to leave our baggage there while we trekked up Lions Head. We met Mark just in passing, but even then he gave us awesome tips for our trek and was a pleasure to meet. AND...when we returned Ashley found us a room to chill and shower in before our flight home and offered us water - all this after we’d checked out some two days earlier! Who does that?! We can’t tell you how lovely that made our stay. The staff at breakfast are also gems - wish we could remember their names to thank them all. And our room - we were upgraded to an amazing suite and totally blown away by it! Stunning! Four poster bed, rose petals and roll top bath! Basically we fell in love with this place, the staff, and while I write this at the airport on my way to the next stop on our honeymoon, part of me wishes we’d stayed at the Glen for longer. My favorite place to chill on a hot summers day in Cape Town. Call in advance to book a lounger if you are wanting to go because usually in season the hotel is full. You do pay a cover charge but then you have the entire day to swim, tan, eat and drink. The staff is always so lovely and make you feel like one of the hotels guests. I always have an amazing time when I go there.

We stayed in Mid March and came across The Glen later in our trip after our previous placed canceled. From the moment we walked in, the service and staff were exceptional. The rooms and ammenaties are great, but the staff really made the stay so wonderful.Thanks again

What a hidden gem. Its set in a somewhat residential area just metres away from the Green Point main road. The restaurant is stunning with a beautiful pool and view. The staff is amazingly friendly and the food was simply delicious. I tried the swordfish. Honestly, what a time.

Edmore was an absolute gem as our waiter he truly cares about people and we enjoyed talking to him. Karin, you always had a smile on your face and you made us feel so welcome. Joshua came to fetch us when it rained and cared about me when I felt ill. The food was delicious and there was a big variety to choose from. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean with a chocolate on your pillow at night. The hotel is beautifully decorated. A word to describe how this hotel operates is generosity. Generous hearts, generous service, generous in quality and true dedication is how every staff member does their work. We will be back, it was amazing in every way!

The hotel is immaculate, decorated very stylishly and the rooms are very luxurious.What sets this place apart from others are the staff. They are genuinely friendly, happy and enthusiastic. They cant do enough for the guests.The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and is on site regularly. This friendly atmosphere is apparent with all front and back of house staff.We had dinner in the restaurant the night before checking out. The head chef changed his shifts around in order to cook for us. We couldnt have had a better trip.Utterly, utterly sublime team. We have been looked after spectacularly.

I had to comment on this amazing hotel which had be en recommended by a friend. I am not easily impressed but on passing through the front door, I experienced the wow factor.A charming young man greeted us and showed us to a table on the terrace overlooking the pools . My three friends and I ordered some wonderful South African sparkling wine to go with our fantastic lunch.A great experience and we decided to go back for a breakfast next week. Also extremely reasonably priced. I wish I was staying there but next time I will. Certainly worth a visit if you want to be wowed.

The Glen Boutique is a beautifully designed small hotel in a nice area of Cape Town. I expect in the summer the pool is a lovely place to be, but even at the start of the winter it was nice to have breakfast outside.We were originally assigned a room next to the pool but after complaining that the hot water was yellow they moved us immediately to a new room and assisted us with luggage.We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was excellent with a decent selection of wine.Customer service was excellent from arrival to departure.

The place is very beautiful and very good location to access several places in Cape Town. What a wonderful day trip we had with Hank. The Range Rover experience and the knowledge of the area by our tour guide. Beautiful areas, recommended restaurants on the trip were superb. Oh, the Ocean Driver through Chapmans Peak, breath taking views.

An absolutely delightful hotel. Friendly and extremely accommodating staff (they made it possible for me to shift my stay by one night at the last minute with no issues)--they welcomed me upon check-in with champagne and a personal tour of the hotel grounds. The room was spacious, clean, and luxurious with all the amenities I could have wanted, including a balcony and computer for getting work done in the room. The jacuzzi was a nice touch, and I even booked a massage (which was one of the best Ive ever had) at the spa. Breakfast was spectacular with a full buffet and hot made-to-order items as well. No complaints at all--I only hope that I can return someday!

Where to begin?...My partner & i stayed at the terrace apartment for 6 days. There is no way i could fault this beautiful place. VERY clean, walking distance from the main hotel & main strip of shops, to die for views of Lions Head & the ocean.Both the owner & staff are AMAZING. Accomodating, efficient, super friendly & always put a smile on our faces. We are already planning our next visit.

We participated in the Cape Epic mountainbike stage race from March 17-24, 2019. To acclimatize and prepare ourselves before the race, we stayed 1 full week in The Glen and we returned to the hotel after the race for another 3 days. We will never forget the unique support we’ve got from The Glen team and the owner Mark. One word: amazing! I have been traveling around the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels. But none of them can ever beat the hospitality of The Glen. It really felt like ‘being home’ and this has helped us big time to get ready for the race. I wish I could rate more than 5 stars! Recommended to everybody! Awesome hotel, exceptional team!

We came here for our honeymoon. Its undoubtedly on of Capetowns nicest boutique hotels. Appropriately locationed and has a spectacular breakfast spread. With an amazing spa and well informed staff on the daily happenings in Capetown. They also have luxury car rentals. All in all i had an amazing time. Viva Capetown... Viva Glen Boutique...

Amazing little boutique hotel. Its situated in the safe neighborhood of Seapoint. VA waterfront is a $4-5 cab ride. It has a sumptuous breakfast buffet with a variety of quality items along with hot breakfast made to order. It may be the best hotel breakfast Ive ever had! The standard room is small, but nicely furnished. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Hard to imagine a better place to stay.

No end to the suggestions and activities they can organise, drinks served poolside, and always with a smile - very attentive and helpful at all times. Car hire packages available for a very good price. Wonderful spa, we really enjoyed our massages. Beautiful decor and atmosphere, very relaxing and perfect for a romantic getaway! Well be back for sure.

The rooms are always immaculate and kept spotless clean - including turndown service and beautiful productsOnly issue for international travellers and considering the price category of the rooms there are NO universal plugs or USB ports like most international hotels. Would be great to have these; HOWEVER the staff are wonderfully helpful in bringing up adaptors but would be ideal if the owner could update the rooms to include this featureAlso the room charge fees here are quite incredibly high- R100 per room charge order; Note this is not a tip to the staff - so please ensure you tip staffThe Staff make this beautiful hotel the best part; they are warm caring and go truly above and beyond to help!! Where to begin... Lets start with the location. The Glen Boutique Hotel has great restaurants on walking distance, table mountain within 10 minutes drive, Clifton Beach & the boulevard of camps bay very close by. The hotel is very clean, youll see everything cleaned several times a day. The staff is very well trained, ready for you at any time and makes you feel at home. Breakfast & lunch are amazing! Two tips: ask for a picnic basket to take away to the beach & choose one of the great massages. From all the places me and my girlfriend slept in South Africa, this is by far the best!

It is as if all the nicest, friendliest people in the world were asked to work at the same place -this place. All the staff were helpful, kind and delightful! They all made an effort to remember our names and make us feel like family. They were always ready to go the extra mile for all our needs. Kiss came to pick me up from the airport and we had such an amazing time, chatting and laughing. He was an excellent driver and the car was spotless and beautiful. He even brought me a cold bottle of water and made me feel like a VIP guest. We had Edmore as our waiter throughout our weekend stay. He was so sweet and chatty. He even offered to buy us ice-cream on our last night, just to thank us. Joshua dropped us off at the Sky appartment, where we stayed. He was also very friendly and chatty. Joshua also came to pick us up at the appartment to take us to supper when it rained. Karen, the HR lady was at our table each morning, making us feel at home. She was so friendly and welcoming and always ready for a chat or even a hug. She was able to give good recommendations on what to order on the menu as well. We were offered 10% discount on our second stay! This is truly a special hotel and I will never forget our stay here. It was beautifully decorated and very neat and clean. The food was excellent too! I would highly recommend ordering a waffle for breakfast. It blew my mind. I will forever be grateful for the way we were treated by each and every staff member.

In general, the hotel is a very good one. People here are very, very friendly, they are very helpful. The room is well equipped, the surprise for a Nespresso machine with four free capsules per day. In my case I have two complains: 1) the bathroom smells badly and 2) internet is slow sometimes. Despite of that, I would recommend stay there when in Cape Town.
