Tranquil, beautiful. A stunning experience

Awesome space, good amenities and lovely picnic areas at the base and at junctions on the trails. The trails are well-marked and the views are fantastic. The Protea trail is a nice moderate walk for beginners to intermediate hikers. For an even better view, take the Leopard Loop or the Woodies Walk trails for intermediate to advanced hikers.

Most beautiful place to run in Somerset West Nature Reserve. View is absolutely mind boggling, peace, quietness all over.

A beautiful lush green gorge, with a little stream running through it. About 45 minutes hike from the start of the trail. It is an easy hike for all ages, yet a stunning one!

If you make the effort to ascend for 1: 30-2 hours you will be more than rewarded.Experience a fantastic 220 degree view on safe but narrow paths to / on the Leopard Loop.Surefootedness u. good footwear with a profile must be provided. Good physical fitness is required for the descent.Drinking 1-2 liters is essential.A very nice 3-4 hour experience that takes strength.Kind regards. Dieter Wilhelm
