I so much want to support every vegan cafe and restaurant, especially in the face of this fake pandemic. Despite having many many staff running around, this little cafe doesnt have it together. They dont get orders right, take ages to deliver, and when called out on this they create excuses.
I had the I falafel in love with you wrap and it was incredible. Very good portion sizes and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and service was great! Would definitely recommend whether you are vegan or not.
Very nice smoothie bowls. Space is pretty cramped though with an awkward vending machine at the entrance. The bulletproof coffee wasnt really a bulletproof, but rather a flatwhite with some oil. Pleasant. Would return.
Nourishd a healthy vegetarian restaurant. It is always filled with people and always provides great food and service. The smoothie bowls are absolutely delicious and so filling too! They also serve cows milk which is great for those who would like cows milk in their coffees/teas or those who are not vegetarian. Its a small but gorgeous restaurant and is definitely worth visiting.
The food was delicious and the vibe is amazing. I was just really caught off guard by the service. Had to wait almost 45 mins for my friends coffee
I really loved this little healthy eatery which is located on upper Kloof. The food is fresh and the service is very quick. It’s not a very big place so it can get very crowded, very quickly. The menu consists of all types of healthy options ranging from juices, smoothies and salads. I especially loved that all their packaging is eco-friendly. If you’re a health nut, you’ll love this place 😊
A small little juicer and cafe that has a relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee and delicious healthy meals all using the freshest ingredients. Staff are friendly and are super helpful with accommodating dietary requirements and are more than willing to change the menu items to suit you. They have a wide range of vegan and gluten free options. Their fresh juices which you can enjoy there or take home are divine and a absolute must try. Would definitely recommend. Also make sure you try their secret unicorn latte, it is truly magical ✨
Really one of my favourite restaurant/cafes in Cape Town. Such delicious food. And considering the expensive healthy ingredients that go into the food it actually is very reasonably priced. The food always leaves me satisfied and feeling great. The aesthetics of the place are incredible, such a nice design. There is also a lovely vibe here. However this cafe is a lot more busy than the other one in obs.
If you are looking for a laid-back place for a coffee break or a healthy start into the day, you should stop by at Nourish‘d. The menu is fresh, healthy, and completely plant-based. Since I am a breakfast person I was happy to find so many options on the menu — bowls, toasts, smoothies. If you are craving for a vitamin kick there are many of freshly made juices that come in gorgeous glass bottles. I loved my warm oaties, and the banana toast with almond butter was luscious too. It’s lovely to sit outside on the tiny patio under the palm roof — but you have to be lucky to find a free spot there since the store at Kloof street was right away super busy when we arrived there in the early morning. It’s really a vibrant place full of young people. If you are staying in the area of Woodstock or Observatory I would recommend to visit the second store in OBS instead, since this one is way more spacious and less crowded. We visited that store for another juice break in the afternoon and it was quite empty. So that’s your chance to escape the hustle and bustle from the city while second hand shopping in OBS. I am sure that this boho area will become way more busy and trendy in the next years, so go there before the tourist masses will do so too. And for the ones who love taking pictures of their breakfast bowle from every angle, this place has way more options for the perfect shot. ;) In general I just love that Nourish‘d stands for a very conscious lifestyle and I am happy to find such places during my trips to keep me healthy while traveling.
Delicious food and the place to see the Cape Town vegan and yogi community! The salad bowls are delicious. We shared 2 and had leftovers. Also great smoothies and juices. Try the charcoal for a good detox. And afterwards a coffee and date ball! Perfect fuel before a sunset mountain run or hike up Lions head. Youll be bouncing up the mountain with all that energy!
The waitress from who which ordered at Nourishd literally gave the 5 girls who ordered after us their bowls and smoothies first. We waited for about 30 minutes and eventually after seeing the people who ordered after us receive all of their orders, I asked her why were they served before us when we ordered 40 minutes ago? Like they walked in after us and it was a much bigger group, and they were helped first. So it was a bit ridiculous. The waitress didnt even apologize; she mumbled something and then she just gave us our smoothies and bowls after another 10 minutes and walked off. No explanation as to why our order was just forgotten, or even apologized to us. Definitely wont be returning to this place again!
Absolutely love this vegan restaurant. Food is great tasting with lots of flavor and their prices are really good. Thoroughly enjoyed the place.
Great breakfast and smoothies and the warmest staff
Welcoming and friendly staff. Delicious smoothie and smoothie bowl! Would love to try the wide variety of dishes on sale - cant wait to visit again.
1. This place hardly ever accepts orders on Ubereats.2. You can’t call them3. Their stuff is mostly a miss if/when it arrives expect brown avo on your sandwich and juice that tastes watered down.4. You pay a fortune for the aboveGranted, when I actually went in to sit down and eat there, the quality was way better. Please, pay more attention to the stuff you send out on ubereats, when you do actually accept orders.
This boho/hippie inspired inviting hole in the wall offers a wide selection of healthy shots, smoothies and juices - all prepared with all kinds of super foods. I truly enjoyed my smoothie bowl, probably the most delicious and healthy musli I ever had! The coffee is well crafted from organic fair trade beans. Next time I will dare to try the bullet-proof coffee made from butter and medium-chain triglyceride oil - WOW!
Lovely place with a creative twist on plant-based food and drinks.
Love the food❤👌
This is one of my favourite places in Cape Town. There is literally nothing that I wouldn’t recommend. They have some of the best smoothies and smoothie bowls that you can find anywhere.
What a chilled spot! Great vibe, cool music and beautiful interior. Love their eco friendly ethics! And the food... OMG I got so greedy looking at the menu, that I ended up ordering 4 things! I had a delicious salad of great (nutritional) value. The thick and rich chocolaty smoothie was divine and had my name all over it; Naughty Nutter 🤣. Even though I was stuffed from that combo, I took a Creamy Dreamy almond milk and a layered chocolate biscuit dessert with. Great spot with awesome staff. Question is: why are you not in your car driving there now?
Same same, but different.
Have to call out this situation as it is now. Downhill big time. Used to go there a lot when we lived in CT but they recently seem to be struggling to get it together. They don’t answer phones, you have to pay R10 to park nearby, and this bottle deposit story is actually just pre-payment for another smoothie or juice. It’s not a deposit bc you only get store credit back. Not to mention the massive carbon footprint this is leaving by making people carry jars around for months like I had to. Just get biodegradable plastic and stop making us pay for things in advance pretending it’s a “Deposit”. It’s not and it’s not cool to not know words’ correct meanings anymore. Putting all my jars into waste bin on principle of not liking being lied to.
Ive been there for breakfast yesterday with my daughters was totally ignored for 10min by the white lady and the 3 black staff and to crown it all the lady making the froth pulled her mask off to lick the spoon totally disgusting service Ive ever received in my hometown
Super cool place.
Great healthy foods and drinks, and a nice variety to choose from!
Rude! Unreasonable! Don’t visit. Such a pity. Used to love it. Supported through lockdown.
This place is peace and heaven on earth! They serve delicious toasts (of course with avocado :P) bowls and the best smoothies and juices in town! The interior is tastefull as well and the staff so kind!We will come back asap we will be back in cape town!Take care and support the guys from this place!
It.s sad when people have a great concept, but then think they can charge a premium and a have unfriendly service. Eating is about an experience; the venue, the service and the food. We were a party of four. Our food came out at different times. Why would you go and eat out together to get your food delivered at different times? Moonshine bowl was great. Star sandwich was tasty, but not worth the price. Thai pumpkin soup was a let down. 4 out of 10 for the soup.
On Uber Eats restaurant states their Happy Hippy Juice made only from greens (no fruits added), on their website however it says it has apples in it, but if you look at the ingredients of the same juice within their offered cleansing packages, it once again states it only has greens. To solve the mystery, I emailed the shop and received reply saying that it definitely has no fruits in it. So, I ordered it, and guess what, juice came properly sweet. When I phoned shop, their response was “yes, there are apples in it”. Speechless....
Food described in a playful manner and also very delicious.
The naughty nutter smoothie bowl here is the meaning of life and life itself!
Food is absolutely delicious, however this is the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. Went to the cafe itself and waited 45 minutes for smoothies; they got the order wrong and brought our food split up, so half the party waited while the others finished their food. Staff also seemingly forgot to make smoothies. Ordered uber eats from here and they only brought half the order, and took an hour to get the food. Honestly shocking, would not recommend unless you have several hours to wait and lots of patience. Just go to Kauai.
I really loved the makin me a caco smoothie bowl here! I’ve always come here after a hike and it’s felt so refreshing. Staff was really friendly too.
Couldnt be fresher if you tried 😎
Used to be my favorite place in CT but it deteriorated a lot after lockdown (Açai, toasts, bowls..). Very expensive for what is it nowSuch a shame
Covid Pandemic Ppl sitting way to close. Thought the juices were made onsite, but not.
Tasty vegan food with a gluten free option. Sitting space is very tight, bar stool kind of sitting. Breakfast and lunch and takeaway.
I far preferred the Observatory branch from an experience point of view even if this was the mothership.
Delicious food and satisfying portions. Kind employees and great customer service. Highly recommended!
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am utterly obsessed with everything Nourish’d. The service & quality of food is always 5 star! Hands down my favourite spot in Cape Town!
Great and on point for a healthy vegan lifestyle. Amazing detox juice fasts. Portions could be bigger.
Organic coffees was great
Placed an order via WhatsApp - trying to adhere to better social distancing rules - only to turn up 30 minutes later with the order not having been placed, and having to wait another 15 to get my smoothies.5 stars for the food, 0 stars for the service
I have driven past the cafe numerous times and finally went there for breakfast this morning. Ample parking space with a convenient car wash. Super friendly staff and great service. Great coffee too. I usually have an egg/toast/meat breakfast but I tried the smoothie bowl and it was awesome. Fresh products and very filling. Some people might find the space small, but if you can get over that youll love this place.
Simply wonderful!
I have so much respect for Tash as a business owner and her staff. The concept is awesome and they practice what they preach. I see people comment on price to which yes it is on the pricier side BUT considering all the love from the back end..Everything is eco/compostable/biodegradeable , They use great quality products, Their staff are paid to a high standard. This is what supporting local looks like.
Nourishd makes the most consistently delicious smoothies. There is always a good vibe in the store. It is my ritual to bring my group of friends for a smoothie after a hike up the mountain. And behind the scenes of the store, Nourishds Instagram page is well worth following. The owner, Tash pours herself into her business. There are often extra-mural activities planned like beach cleanups, etc to get involved in. Also some really profound and inspirational messages shared with love.Nourishd attracts a little family of eco conscious souls trying their very best to make an impact, open to anyone to become a part of. Tash, we see how hard you are working, especially through these tough Corona times. Keep up the great work! 🦄To the extremely low raters recently, please be mindful of the times in your reviews. All restaurants deserve a little bit more compassion and understanding at the moment. There are real humans running around behind the scenes trying their best. You could really do with following this little community café, you might learn a lot.
Nourishd is surreal. My boyfriend and I are completely in love with this cozy, cute and tropical place! The Watermelon Dreams smoothie was magical and the Moon sandwich was amazing. I love that it is organic, environmentally friendly and uses free range products. Thank you so much! Definitely my favorite place in Cape Town.
We had the falafel and caulime burrito wrap. Was very tasty!!
Food was so incredibly good and nourishing, I could not feel my cells hug me from inside. The lady who helped us was so unfriendly and actually just rude, it was our first time there and didnt know we had to get our own juices from the fridge - this upset her 😯 Also, my partner received his food 10 after I had - uncool. But yes! Great little café with a revolutionary concept.
What happend to the great coffee? I really loved the homemade almond milk and the coffee there. But today they served it with almond breeze without saying anything :-( please let people know when you run out of the homemade milk and instead of using almond breeze, try milklab, its much better! Also drinking coffee in a glass is not much fun...
The food and smoothies are really nice and they have emphasis on healthy, largely vegan friendly dishes. I really enjoyed my breakfast and smoothie.I found the place a bit manic. The restaurant is very small and was pretty busy which meant lots of people standing around with no seats. I think they would benefit from a better system. You order at the counter and grab a seat where you can find one, if not you wait.Vegan friendly, traveller, hippy, yoga vibe.
Very hip cafe with just a few tables to sit. Claims to be super vegan friendly but the (homemade) plant based milks are 14 ZAR extra which is quite a lot and portions are okay but not super big for the price. Wouldnt go there again to be honest, to hip and to expensive in my opinion
Menu does not only offer a great variety of dishes, but great health benefits too. Swift service and the most friendly staff. Definitely worth a try for all who consume consciously.
What a great funky little place. Good selection of healthy foods and drinks. Great to see that they are putting effort in to not use plastics and to reuse glass bottles through a deposit scheme.Food was tasty. Portions are a little on the small side but then again most people dont need to eat as much as they do.All in all a good place to eat if you can get past the people who go there and are more interested in taking picture of the food than eating it. Like the group of 4 girls next to me who spent the best part of 10min arranging the food and taking photos for social media, yawn.
So far the best spot with healthy food in Cape Town! The smoothies and juices are super tasty and nutritious, their combinations have everything your body and mind need. All the products are locally grown and in bio quality. Be prepared its full all the time and sometimes there is no free seating left as the bistro is a bit small.
When I first saw this place open I thought theyd never make it... I am so glad I was wrong! Their food is vegan awesome. Its pure, it tastes amazing, the management and staff are friendly. Its all goodness! If there was a complaint, its just too good because there is often a queue, but its worth the wait! I just wish they were a little bigger
Loved it! A great option for healthy, delicious vegetarian food and drinks.
Lovely little cafe with amazing (i mean amazing!) smoothie bowls and friendly service! Wish I couldve eaten there every day whilst staying in Cape town but couldnt quite afford it, but then I dont mind paying a higher price for good ingredients.I will be back when Im in Cape town again!
