Mica Fish Hoek is a well stocked and conveniently located, they are pricey but I suppose you pay for convenience. The staff are unfortunately not helpfull

Really helpful and friendly staff. Not the greatest prices on the planet / not too bad either - but they are comparitively well stocked, open early and weekends and holidays and the yard, till and floor staff are all polite and helpful.

Brilliant, an ongoing spare part issue with a power tool supplier (for a month +) was resolved in 2 days by Jan.

I have been doing a lot of building work in the Kalk Bay area over the past 6 months and was purchasing a lot of materials from a hardware store in Fishhoek central. 9 times out of ten they didnt have what i was looking for and would then have to turn around and drive all the way to Builders WH in Tokai. Mission. One day i was looking for a car wash in the area and was directed to the Valley Centre and lo and behold there to my great joy was a Mica Hardware store. Almost like an Alladins Cave in a dry and dreary landscape. I wish i had known about you a lot earlier. You would have made some money and i would have saved lots of time and energy. Great find.

Mica is a very convenient hardware store in my area.Their staff are friendly,helpful and know their products well.Im looking at repainting my driveway walls and the paint department lady correctly showed me that I need to use an adhesion primer rather than universal undercoat.Otherwise I will have the same paint issue all over again.

Went there only to leave with half the items I was looking for. Non the less, the service was awesome. They assisted me throughout the time that I was there and when it did not form part of their domain, they still made sure that I got everything I was looking for. In their defence, I was looking to refurbish taps that were in the house when it was built in the early 80s. The personal showed proffesionalism and they show that they can think outside the box for solutions. Making my job easier to accomplish. I will not hesitate to go there for advise/assistance regarding difficult jobs around the house.

Ive been shopping at Mica Fish Hoek for many years, and always found all the staff helpful and knowledgeable.However this is not about Mica as such but the kindness and assistance I received from Alison, when I misplaced my keys somewhere in Valyland. She gave me a seat and retraced my steps, without any luck. She was incredibly helpful and offered to call my son on her phone, if I didnt have my cell. The story had a happy ending, as someone kindly handed them in at Spar.Thank you, Alison and thank you Mica for employing such special people.

Exceptional experience in store.My husband has been shopping at Mica fish hoek for many years. I seldom went in store with him but today i decided otherwise and i have met the most wonderful employee of mica.we seeked advice on renovating our entire house in the upcoming year and spoke to Alison in the paint department whom advised us incredibly not only has she helped me understand the proper procedures(not familiar with much hardware) but she has explained each and every step in detail which made me feel as if we can start tomorrow. I was so clueless walking into store not knowing what to expect but she has adviced she will take us through each and every step and advise on how we could save in cash while doing so,which personally we think is amazing. We look forward to doing our renovation with Alison and would advise whom ever needs advise to go speak to this wonderful employee not only for paint but shes extremely clued up in the hardware industry and can assist with any D. I. Y Or repairs. We truly appreciate how much you have assisted us Alison keep up the great service & stay as driven as you are to assist customers.

Central Mica hardware is fantastic. They mostly always have available what every weekend handyman needs to get the job done, and they also supply a wide range of local contractors. Staff is friendly and very helpful, always ready to give advice and offer alternative ideas for any job youre looking to get done. They have a great selection of outdoor living/braai/camp utilities and also auto mechanical hardware. Finally, they are extremely active in supporting community based events through sponsorships, supporting community where community happens.

Used to love this Mica, they were friendly and helpful. Past 3 visits there is no one helping, staff are either chatting on the phones or pretending to pack shelves. When u do approach them to ask for help, they give you the impression that you are disturbing them.

I cant go anywhere else first besides here.

This place is awesome. Prices are very reasonable if not just the most convenient and best prices I could find.The staff is more on the elderly side but I like that. Store presently being revamped as looks very good. It has free wifi and coffee for customers. More importantly it has a very comprehensive range of DIY and gardening tools as well as building supplies. Products stocked are good quality (Festool, Bosch, Stihl). Ample staff are on hand to assist. Prices are marginally higher than some of the large chain groups but then the service is so much better.

The gent at the plumbing counter has excellent knowledge and ectremely helpful. Head for him.
