The service is usually fast. I always get my gas here. The staff are helpful. Never had any issues here.

This hardware store was neatly revamped not long ago, and the staff were eager to assist with my demands. They do have plenty of different things to sell , and I knew that what I was looking for, they do keep it in stock.The staff was outstanding friendly.It is really a 5star hardware store,and I will shop there more often,if I had more money.

If they dont have it ,it is not on the market yet. Brilliance in one store.

The original store has always delivered beyond expectations. I visit fairly infrequently - about 3 visits a year. Since the new store, one can still possibly find what you are looking for. Unfortunately the friendly, abosulute knowledgeable and hands-on customer interaction, is no longer there. The store does have a great range and items are reasonably priced. Good for emergency cases.

Everybody knows South End. Only a fool will volunteer assisting taking stock count in that building. Has hardware and items I thought I could not get. My compliments to friendly and very knowledgeable owner.

Nice new facilities but I dont find the customer service particularly good. Been a couple of times and each time you are either ignored or there is no-one at the till to pay and you just wait and wait. More pricey than they used to be too.

This is the go to store in the strand. These guys have a lot of stock. U will find those small items that other shops do not stock there. Good service. Very helpful personel. Well worth visiting. 👍 Most probally the oldest hardware store in the strand.

I always stop at South End for their Samoosas. Its a must. But not only that, I bought a digital timer and it was R100 cheaper than Builders

Wow what service, from start to end.The friendly and knowledgeable staff at South End Hardware really blew this novice weekend home emprover away. Guys they have every freaking thing you can think of for any small or big job, from power tools to nails, paint and so much more I felt like a kid in a candy store. Im now so set to fix anything, I think Im gonna fix loadshedding for ever... Eskom watch out Im coming for your job now that I have the right tools!!!Keep up the great work.

Excellent stock - you will find what you need here. Dont waste your time at any of the bigger hardware chain stores which are all poorly stocked.

Saved me a couple of times when Im in the middle of a weekend job and need something.Open later than most shops and willing to help with non-standard queries.You get helped from a counter so you need to be a bit patent (old school one-on-one service)

This was a one of a kind shop where everything was priced better than other places till they built the new shop. Very nice to go there. Its not so crammed anymore(easier to find stuff), but there has been a significant rise in their prices.

Pleasantly surprised. They have now opened a new store next to the still existing shop and now has a big variety of hardware previously not found here. Very helpfully staff.

These guys have almost anything, but in a very cramped space. Its a very informal style store. You ask for what you need at the counter and they go and fetch it for you.Update: They have since opened their new store next door. Its not as cramped any more and you are free to walk about the store, but its still mainly a ask and recieve type store. Very nice though, I like the new shop.
