Ottery branch is just terrible. No respect at all, masks are not worn properly. When you not a regular they all look past you, staff is eating in front of everyone. My entire experience in this place is the worst Ive ever experienced. I wish their was something I could give that was less than 1 star.

Well organized and very friendly and helpful staff. They welcome you as you step into the store and ready to assist. The store itself looks good and easy to find as shop for what you came there for. Parking is also a plus behind fencing and gates, well done.

The Hardware is one of the best and Leonard is an asset to this hardware, he is a very experienced and capable man. He assisted us in buying plumbing and our plumber had only a few items to add. He knows a lot about plumbing and others.

If youre not a regular customer them youre nothing. Most of them wont see you. The 1 floor assistant was their saving grace. Cashiers heads on the clouds or too focused on the regular cst behind me, then made a stupid mistake when processing my payment

Friendly and helpful staff. There is a large veriaty of stock and the store is esay to navigate. There is onsight free parking and the whole place is wheelchair accessible. Do note the times as they close on a Friday during mosque time.

Great store I could find what I needed the staff is very friendly but I dont see the need to have two till points one should be enough now you go to the 1st one where they ring up your goodies and get send to the tellers to pay its a waste of time if someone is in a hurry meaning there will be two lines that I need to stand in. I looked at your tile prices which is over priced.but I wasnt a bad experience just that two pay points bothered me abit and the teller that helped me looked like she wasnt in the mood to be there or assist

So our toilet pot had a bit of a leak, not noticeable until after a few flushes a puddle started forming at the back of the pot, I am not a plumber so I have no clue what the part is called... I went to Build it and I explained to one of the workers (everyone greets you and quick to assist, such a nice customer experience) and he took me to this thing I did not know existed (again not a plumber) but its called a wax seal ring and he explained to me how to use it, if I mess, how to clean it because he could tell I never did this in my life lol, I followed his instructions and it works like a bomb and its like R20. I have bought a few things from there before and never had an issue, the guys and girls are always friendly and some even cracks a joke or 2 with customers. I would def go back there any time

They have a great range of products, it’s basically all of your hardware needs under one roof. From tools, consumables, paint, including a yard with poles and sheeting etc. But the se give isn’t very good, especially when they are busy. I waited for almost half an hour for services and I eventually left because I wasn’t getting any attention. It seemed like the “regulars” were well looked after though.

Bought roof sealer at Brackenfell but was the incorrect color they didnt wNt to exchange it. Even after I told the manager that Id wanted to purchase more building materiaal and must I maw purchase it somewhere else he just said its fine.No customer service drive from Newlands to make my purchase must say this is the poorest service ever that I got as a building contractor

Managements (Maggie) behavior shocking towards me about the complaint I had about the cornice display was in a disgusting manner.Thank you. It used to be neat and tidy with sufficient options on display with prices and lengths and now broken pieces no prices. Had to run around with an attendee finding out prices.

Terrible experience. Came to exchange bulbs within the return window. No where in the store does it state that those cant be returned nor on the slip. Was greeted by the person in front who kept saying i dont wanna be involved, dont involve me. After running around like a headless chicken, and the managers helping quite well, i came to the till as i needed to get a refund of some of the cash. Had to wait 5 minutes for this lady to finish her personal call about someone sleeping in her bed. I was then told again by the checker infront that they dont do refunds on bulbs and hes going to get in trouble with his boss. Dont recommend this place if they have people like that working there

Staff not very friendly. Two staff members that helped me were both more interested in talking to their colleagues than helping me. The lady at the till was talking to her friend and not consentrating on her job while i was making payment had to wait for her to notice she must select something before the bank transaction can continue. The security guy relieving at the door was very friendly and helpful.
