Cape Garden Centre is a place to visit!! Pleasant and friendly people with advice on gardening. The tranquil vicinity and the number of small shops are enough reason to visit Cape Garden Centre in Joostenbergvlakte.

Beautiful place to spend an hour or two. The staff are helpful and friendly.You can find some beautiful, reasonably priced plants here. In my previous experience they are also more likely to survive after youve bought them than the some plants Ive bought elsewhere.There is a restaurant on the property, as well as a kiosk.Plenty parking. No stairs so its pretty accessible to people with mobility problems, just be aware that a lot of their paving is uneven.

Went to Bamboo restuarant and what a treat it was. My husband is still raving about the calamari he had. Staff is so friendly. Keep it up❤

Its a great little gem...but not very busy at the moment

I had the best experience with Carmen from Cape Garden Centre today. I was looking for something that I didnt see on their website then I called them and spoke to the lovely Carmen and sent her a Pic of what I was looking for. Today my car is in for repairs and I couldnt get out there and she basically personally shopped everything I needed and sent me pics to make sure I am happy with the items chosen. Normally they dont deliver on the same day but I explained that I am having an outdoor little get together and really wanted to show off my new garden and she then made the effort of making the same day delivery happen. This is what service should look like in SA. We get so use to bad service that when we receive great service we are shocked. This shouldnt be the case. Thank you Carmen and Cape Garden Centre for making my day a special one. I appreciate and will always shop and recommend you guys!!! And for the twin bosses... Stop confusing us hehehehe!! Always happy place in gardens... These plants/herbs all from the Cape garden Centre. Seen how it grew lovely ( with fertilers and organic potting soil) & used in our food over period of 2 months...

Lovely place! Definitely where I go to get my plants. They have a wide variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, etc. and nearly always in stock. If they dont have stock, they offer to order for you and let you know when new stock arrives.Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. A MUST for anyone who wants to cultivate their green fingers.

Great place for the whole family. Knowledgeable staff that offer great assistance. Also had lunch at one of the restaurants. Small selection but very well priced and prepared. Definitely worth a try. Lots to do for the kids with a host of well managed activities.

An outstanding Nursery beautifully designed in its layout, and a huge variety of Plants, seedlings and all most anything you can think of for the garden. Great outing.

I have always loved Cape garden centre, owner and staff so helpful. Its peaceful with a beautiful selection of plants. I have been going there for years. Unfortunately my last two experiences was very, very unpleasant because of the parking attendant. After apologising for entering the wrong way he continuously argued with us. Today as we entered he said its them again. I have never been treated like that in a parking lot by a parking attendant. He was rude, disrespectful and wanted the last word in. Only picking on us and no one else for who entering the wrong way. Disappointed

Secondly, the pricing is competitive and in most cases lower, therefore pleasing.Each time we visit we are pleased by the environment and what makes it even better is that our dog is welcome to join us.Thanks guys.

My first visit to the Cape Garden Centre. The owner, all staff members were super efficient and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Will definitely recommend this establishment. It was indeed a delightful Sunday afternoon shopping spree. Cant wait to visit again.

Heaven on earth! Colors, smiling stuff, jasmine smell, water features, good coffee, and classical music. What is not too like?At times I drive all the way from Cape Town not to buy anything, but simply yo walk around the place, relax and recharge.

Cape Garden Centre is a place where you can spend hours and it feels like minutes...Huge variety of plants,shade netting all over to diffuse the hot sun,gardening accessories,restaurants,shops and ghey even sell wine!All this in a relaxing (big) gardeh atmosphere.I could easily spend all day here.

You cant fault Cape Garden Centre on the quality of their products. Beautiful healthy plants is what you see when you walk through the nursery. Prices are good when compared to other competitors. Plants have just become quite pricey in general but that is so everywhere.The owners have been very successful in creating a shopping destination with all the satellite shops on the premises making the centre a very busy place on weekends. If you like people a lot go on a weekend. If you like plants any day will do.

We visit regularly for the Bamboo Cafe. Best seed selection. Well trained staff. Healthy plants.

Great for an outing, a wide variey of plants. I do however wish there was greater variety with the succulent and indoor plants.

We went shopping this past Sunday for lots of pots and plants for our newly renovated back garden - WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. From the minute we arrived Benjamin took charge and walked around with us for a good hour recommending suitable plants, pots and planters. We walked out with a R4,200 bill but knew everything was just perfect. We also bought an ornamental owl and have named him Benji in honour of Benjamin who gave us such fantastic service :-)

Good for the soul.Restaurant inside the nursery with delicious food, fairly priced. Had a lovely relaxing time while being surrounded by nature. Theres also a fun, safe playground for the little ones.

I love to visit this nursery-they have a great variety of plants, friendly service and also a few other shops( a gallery, coffee shop, clothing etc) that is on the premises. Their restaurant is also great - a few years back my son was bitten by a pet rat in the pet shop that was on the premises, and the restaurant kindly offered him a ice cream on the house. It is very peaceful to walk through the nursery. They also have examples of little gardens on the side of the nursery, which is very inspiring. They further sell stones, garden furniture and and a great variety of pots. Well worth a visit!

It was 4 years since we had visited the garden centre. It was amazing,so relaxing and beautiful. My daughter and I were amazed when we were greeted by staff at the restaurant who remembered us from before. The food was lovely and the plants so colourful and healthy. Stunning belated Mums day out. Thank for making our visit so wonderful.

Love this coffee shop. Spacious with a choice between inside (with a fireplace for cold winters days) and outside in the fresh air. There is also a small play space for the kids. The staff are friendly and the food and service is good.

The nursery is great with loads to see and wide open spaces. Lots to keep everyone busy. The restaurant has no vegan options on the menu but theyre willing to throw something together to accommodate vegans. Enjoyable experience overall.

Kids love to play in the sand. I feel some of the nets of the play area needs a bit of attention, but other than that food is good.

Large, great variety and very proffesionally run. An absolute pleasure to spend time there. Staff members are knowledgable and super helpful. The only drawback is that some items are notably pricey... Definitely a place to visit, even if only to enjoy the peaceful environment.
