Wow , what a message shift since I was last in the store about 7 years ago. They have a butcher , sushi counter and a bakery. Love the layout and the store seems pretty busy.

A lovely Woolworths from the trolley collection to security that smiles and disinfects your hands. I love that upon entering the first thing confronting you is a wide array of flowers and plants. Service always friendly, helpful and accommodating no matter how busy.

I was very impressed with the size and design of the store. It looks modern and has everything you need in one store. Happy to see the butchery section as well. I am big fan of the single queue system at the point of sale, one of the things I like about Woolies. Great job!

I like the store itself, but couldnt rate it higher because Ive been to other Woolies stores where the staff are way friendlier and greet you with a smile. This one, not so much.

Albeit prone to the shopper pshycological practice of changing the produce equal to customers changing underwear this Woolworth is one of the best versions of Woolworths new conceptual design. Bit confusing with a lot of dead spaces that can do with anchoring with essentials sections to draw customers. A lot of walking if you keen to buy bread, milk, eggs - these 3 are spread the width of the store. Well stocked and clean.

I bought yellow/pink roses from Woolworths a day before Mothers day. They are still, over 2 weeks later, beautiful, fresh, solid buds. I used to have my own florist and understand and appreciate good quality flowers. When a compliment is due, give it. I am astounded by the quality. A rarety!

The in house butcher sells very good aged T-Bone and sirlion on bone.

Natalie at the bakery is just the loveliest person. She brings love and delight to your apple crumbles.

I wasnt greeted, or asked for my card, or if I needed a bag. It wasnt a friendly experience at all. Nothing like the Hayfields, Pietermaritzburg branch.

Beautiful shop and friendly staff however Ive been there a few times at 9/9:30 on a Sat or Sunday, 1 to 1.5hrs after opening with empty shelves or shelves not replenished... weekends are busy and stock is in demand, better planning would be appreciated.

Disinterested staff and abysmal service make this one of the mediocre branches of Woolworths. As usual, the blame has to be laid at the door of the manager and head-office. At some stage some customers will realise they are paying a premium for no good reason and leave. Poor show.

Very comprehensive center with great variety of stores, from day to day necessity, to speciality clothing, beauty and eateries. Quaint restaurants or meeting spots too. Ample parking on premises, although paying. Very helpful staff at waypoint to assist if necessary.

I went to do my usual shopping as I love shopping at this mall and this specific store. I wanted to buy chicken Viennas which are halal and noticed that its placed with all the pork meats. Now I am a muslim and I found that a bit disturbing. I get to the till and I request to speak to a manager and asked her why would you place halal viennas with pork and she simply said they dont have any other place to put it. I stopped and havent bothered again coz I didnt want to cause a fuss. So Im wondering to myself if it happens that I choose to shop online for a delivery from woolies gardens and I happen to order viennas they will pick exactly that in which in my culture is not permitted because any halal meats placed with pork in the same fridge is unhalal. So Id like woolies gardens to look into this and correcting this matter.

No stock in the afternoon. On several occasions, Ive tried to buy basic things but they dont have stock. Not impressed.

Always a pleasure to shop at Wollies

Great service, wide range of stock, pleasure shopping there!

Whoever does stock management here should be fired. Been a problem for years now, always 2 or 3 things missing and for months at a time. Most recently the canned Corned Beef, 250ml longlife milks and the Habanero Tabasco. The bread counter, coffee counter and butchery are very nice and the checkout staff are very friendly.

This particular store at Gardens Centre has a very serious stock shortage issue. Mostly, the shelves are empty. Very basic products are unavailable such as 5L water yesterday, avocado for over a month, chicken is always an issue, vegetables are very limited, bread at times, meat selection is extremely limited, humus is unavailable often, celery sticks are often unavailable, even baskets for shopping are often out. It is clear that this shop is mismanaged.I have photos of empty shelves. The managers at the store keep blaming head office. I was even told that the avocado unavailability is due to a country wide shortage, yet all other stores had avocado on shelf. I wonder how all other Woolworths stores I have been to recently are able to control stock and have products on shelf. Even the Engine Garage quick shop around the corner has more availability of stock, as does Lifestyle Centre and obviously Sea Point and the Waterfront. Pick n Pay at Gardens always has full shelves.What a shame that such a big store, a flagship Woolworths store, is in such a poor state!

Quite petite for a mall. Found a decent stationary shop (Oxford) that has a dedicated arts/paints section. The woolies had some items I dont normally find at other stores. Pleasant place overall. Park on the roof for 45 minutes free parking.

Best shopping experience I have had at any woolworths ever. 10 out of 10.the produce was so fresh and the staff amazing.

Love shopping at Woolworths, Gardens Centre where I live. One complaint.... the 10 items and under check-outs are too squashed. Not nearly enough space for basket and purchases. I find it quite stressful, trying to unload, proffer my cards for swiping, etc. Im considering therefore using the trolley tills. I would prefer waiting in a long queue, but would find it less stressful in the long run.

A fairly well stocked, food only, woolworths. Its accessible. Often has beyond meat patties and mince.

Well, its Woolworths, the food is always good, this Woolies has gone through a big upgrade and is so much larger, with plenty more great food options.The only thing better than a normal Woolworths, is a big Woolworths food.

Our local Woolworths which helps us keep to our vegetarian diet and stick strictly to Covid19 protocols. Stocks vary from day to day. The store itself is a strange shape and stuff moves around a bit but its generally a good experience.

Bought a grilled chicken about 2 weeks ago at their bakery secton and the packaging is terrible and the fat/juices came out of the packaging onto my clothing. I showed it to the Manager who took my details and never heard from him or anyone else again. Too many managers and seemingly few of them understanding the role of a manager and importance of customer service and feedback. Ive noted they still use the same packaging (brown paper bag), yet he told me this was new packaging to prevent spills and clearly not working, but they will obviously continue using it (cheap packaging?).

Woolworths is Always good - however I rate this 1 as I ONLY have bad experiences in that STORE - the customers thay goes there are super unfriendly and rude. They even push you with there trolley out the way and they seem to be very aggressive

Recently upgraded and expanded food store. Great selection of foods and wines. Prices are the usual Woolworths high end pricing.

This Woolworths has improved, but strangely for some things there is less selection.They have a butchery, but they just do the same things that can be bought normally but cheaper. Also, no pork in the butchery so youll never get a loin roast like you could at other Woolworths butcheries.More space, but less selection for veggies. Same with spices. Its too bad, because I was hoping it would be better.

One of the best little Woolies in the City Bowl. Newly renovated, well thought out layout and great selection of food. Butchery and Fish Monger a big step up in retail and match high end stores.

Great manager, friendly staff and a clean store.Comparing Woolworths to Pic n Pay isnt fair, because Woolworths is just far superior. We all know that. :) Maybe I just hold this option as Pic n Pay is so terrible in every way, but anyway.Great food selection, clean store with basically everything labeled.Staff are happy, and the manger is one of the most humble individuals I have ever met. I believe his name is Lwando.Overall a solid choice for your weeks shopping or a quick bite to eat.

Its a really nice store

When the upgrades were done I thought this was going to be awesome. However since mid December 2019 the shelves at this woolies just remain empty. Fresh produce is lacking, the only chicken I could find was sell and use by today, no rolled oats, no chickpea cans, always out of basil. The fish section smells like Hout Bay Harbour. I have voiced my complaints to the staff, but it seems like they are not doing anything. Really dissatisfied.

Disappointed and upset I normally receive great serce. The price was marked down asked the staff if that is the correct price was assured it was struggled to get it off the top shelf. Got to the cashier and it ringed up as double had to leave the line to get the bar code with the marked down price was told that it was an old price and that was that just looked at me as if it was my fault. Im beyond upset
