Coffee is good, thats about it. Scramble egg in a cup: not for human consumption.Parking is tricky. When the traffic started pulling up, it was a good excuse for me to chuck the egg breakfast.

The focus here is the coffee! Theres a chilled vibe with people working on laptops and others meeting for a catch up. Pre packaged sandwiches and wraps are on offer with quiches and a variety of baked goods. Seed bars and date balls are available for the health conscious. This is your spot if you want coffee the way you like it.

My go-to coffeeshop in newlands. There arent many food options but the variety of coffee makes up for everything. Here coffees are genuine, no-fuss, tasty and surprisingly affordable. The space is airy, spacious and pleasant.

Encounter anyone from a coffee-loving pensioner to a thesis-writing student to an early-morning cyclist at this quaint coffee corner. Plenty indoor and outdoor seating, pet friendly and situated in a quiet road with good parking.The coffee is full bodied and creamy and they offer a range of milk alternatives too.Perfect for a morning cuppa and croissant (or any of the other snacks, cakes or sandwiches on offer) at reasonable prices.All in all, I will definitely be returning to Häzz Coffee Shop soon.

Excellent coffee and chilled atmosphere. Hazz is a good place for working out of the office or meetings over a cup of coffee. There is outdoor seating available and larger tables and bar style seating inside. I can recommend the wraps and quiche. They also sell upmarket coffee machines and a selection of health snacks.

This is a great place to take your laptop and do some work! There is always relaxing music playing to help you concentrate, and everyone else working in the area is always super considerate.The coffee is amazing and the fruit teas available are definitely worth trying!This coffee shop helped me finish my thesis.

The best (and cheapest!) coffee in Cape Town. Very convenient as it is so central and easy to stop there while youre doing things around Newlands. Parking is occasionally a bit of a mission though as its a very popular area.

Well worth the visit. It doesnt have long opening hours and is a bit hidden away, but dont let that stop you from visiting. It has an open-plan kitchen feel with a big table in the middle for people to sit alongside each other, and the usual newspapers and magazines for you to read. A selection of coffees and teas.

I used to greatly enjoy Hazz, but its rather noisy, the cake has become less flavoursome, and the place has joined the ranks of water profiteers: they decline to offer tap water. (People drinking tap water is not a cause of the crisis, and bottled water has a huge, huge environmental footprint, even in a drought. The more we use bottled water, the more we are sowing the seeds of future droughts.)
