I bought a Samsung Cell phone for my wife at about 19h50 on the 3rd October 2021 and I paid cash for the phone. On Wednesday the 6th October 2021, the phone just switched off on it own and we couldnt switch it on for about 3.5hrs but eventually it came on again, only to switch of again the following day on the 7th October 2021. This made me extremely upset and I took it back to the store the very same day on the 7th October 2021 to have it exchange or buy something else and was willing to pay the cash difference but they refused, even though the sales person managed to switch it on again and testing it and saying this is always a software issue with Samsung phones. They said that they will package it and send it away after filling in all the papers and making copies of ID and receipt and inspecting the phone , which was as brand new , since the time we received it but they will let me know when they or whoevers coming to collect it but up until now I never had any feedback from them, 5 days has subsequently passed and I never even had the phone for a full 5 days and we have yet to have any feedback from them.
Tristan Crowie the Cellular Specialist at Hi Store Canal Walk gave me excellent Service. He was fast and efficient. He also answered all my questions tat I had. Very pleased with my visit to the store.
Good place to see whats trending and get new outlook. Must be willing to walk&walk but worth it. Once a week or 2nd week definitely

I had to edit my review based on the fact that I bought a mobile phone over 3 years agoWas convinced by the assistants to get insurance and now that I am claiming its been over 3 weeks that the stores consultants namely Cynthia and Andy giving me the go around.TFG went into business with Finrite not me but I am the one having to go through the hustle and dealing with Finrite. I am tired disappointed with the entire service

Further too my message below. Dodo managed to rectify and book in my laptop.Absolutely critically poor service. I have complained before but you dont seem to get it. I got completely ignored by Jaycee - Id been waiting at the counter for quite sometime...another client came in and she went to serve her. Dodo tried to alleviate the situation but the damage was done. Ive brought in an ASUS laptop which I purchased 4 months ago. The CD drive does not open/work. The keyboard is giving a tin like sound. The drive is growing increasingly bad. The battery is losing life rapidly. I will never purchase from your stores again.

(The one inside the Foschini store) Poor service. We were being helped simultaneously with another customer. As a result, the salesperson couldnt even explain basic information because he was so distracted. Other store staff seemed to think it was a joke when querying him on these things. Very unprofessional to say the least.

Pathetic service!! I paid R1400 for a Xbox controller, a month later the trigger is sticking, I take it back and they say they cant do anything and I must go to Microsoft but I bought the controller from HI, never again shall I waste my time with the unknowledgeable and unfriendly staff. The staff made me feel like I was trying to get a freebie when all I wanted was a other control as the one Im currently still sitting with is faulty. As seen on the picture, I dont even have it that long.PS, one can only return Microsoft products to Microsoft if it was bought at Microsoft
The Service was Ok Dodo kept his promise we bought the ph. Cash R26999.00 I ask the Manager no discount or maybe a gift she tells me no at least if you so cheap give the customer at least a pen or something small for the amount you spending poor managerial service.

Absolutely amazing customer service received from Keanu and store manager, Ralton. I bought a defective product on Saturday. I called them today and said Im not prepared to Uber all the way back to Canal Walk to do the swap for a new one. Keanu arranged for the product to be brought to a Foschini store closest to my home. He probably called me 5 or 6 times to update me about the arrangements. His manager Ralton did the trip with my new laptop and met me at a store close to my home to do the swap. Im very impressed with their service. I cant even be upset about the defective product , because their service was so great. Thanks guys!

Over the years we have had the worst experiences in tech and sales and after both my phone got stolen and my daughters broke in the same week we were not looking forward to phone shopping. We went into Hi and immediately got great service and a great deal on both the phones with complimentary products. We were helped by Andre who is really good and gave us sincere advice on what phones we should get in our price range. He also set up our phones for us while we went out for a quick pizza. When we left canal walk we were both very impressed with the helpfulness from Andre and the easiness of the whole experience. Thank you so much!

There is no assistance by door, and some employees take their time to get a job done by talking to each other. No times are indicated to when the store will be closed because they closed earlier than the rest of the stores, therefore there were a few conflicts between the customer and the staff.

Is 0 stars not an option please???? I took my mobile in for repairs on 2 December 2019....this was a warranty job...did not have the receipt but gave them the statement with indicates exactly when purchase took place....I called 2 weeks ago, salesperson advised he would get back to me, never did. I called this morning again only to find out that the phone is still with them and was not sent for repairs yet, supplier closed on 15th Dec and will only reopen on 6 Jan..So they could not manage to locate the receipt for 2 weeks and no-one finds it necessary to contact me....This unprofessionalism is unacceptable

I took out a Toshiba tero-bit on 27 Feb 2017 and in Jan 2018 it stop workingI went to Hi store in Canal Walk on 15/01/2018 and spoke to one of the associatesThey had me Im past the 6 months warranty they cant help meThis is not 1st time there things I by buy them is faulty u just bought a small speaker if R400 in October 3017 and input of it where u charge the speaker went inThe store associate of Hi advised me they cant help and then I advised do I paid R400 for nothing and he said yes nodding his deadI then went to Computer mania as the associate from Hi told me too in case its just my cable of my hardrive that needs to be changedI was advised by computer mania there is a 1 year warranty for Toshiba the manufacturer.Which Hi store in Canal Walk new nothing aboutI then called Hi store on 15-01-2018 and told them about 1 year warranty as I paid R1500 for that Toshiba 1 terobite Hardrive on my American Swiss Account.Told them about year warranty and to contact Manufacture Toshiba to get a new hardrive;since then no call was made to me its new the day I bought my ToshibaWhere I cant use it as the Hardrive itself is done nothing wrong with the cable as computer mania tested it out.Very bad customer service as Im always a customer buying at that store coz of the quality they have but now for most of the tech i buy by them becomes faulty so quickly.Now i loose all my data on my hardrive anf waste R1500 on a hardrive tht is suppose loose for years.Im never shopping at the Hi store in Canal Walk again i rather buy my tech Cash.
