Been in there on 3 different days to buy a pair of Solomons. I was wearing my work clothes so I didnt look my best. There were always two sales people, no one asked if they could help me. My advice is the same I give my staff never judge a person on how they look, you never know how much money they have in there pockets. And shops wonder why people buy on line from takealot.

Good service and a wide selection of gear. Asked a staff member to check if they had a jacket in my size at another branch, (they didnt have the size on the rack) she found that they did in fact have stock and got one from the stock room at the back for me. Ill keep coming back.

What service! I took my mom Cape Union Mart Tygervalley because she very desperately wanted a black K-Way jacket. The salesperson on the floor was extremely helpful but unfortunately couldnt find a black K-Way jacket for my mom in her size. He then went on their online store and there he found her jacket. The next step is one Im always very sceptical of doing. He said my mom had to pay her R1 700 right then and there in the store and that he would place the order online for her and it will be delivered to my house. Reluctantly we did just as he advised. Well, we had hardly left the parking lot of Tygervalley and my mom received an email from Cape Union Mart confirming her order. The next day she received another email saying that her order had just been shipped. Later the same day she received another email telling her when she should expect her order. On the third day she received an email in the morning telling her that her parcel would arrive by that very same day. We werent home all day but received a last email telling us that the parcel had already been delivered and was waiting for her at home. I was blown away by that service! I will never be sceptical again about paying for something upfront in a Cape Union Mart store while they order my products online. Great service!

Always love going here. The staff are friendly and helpful. I could spend hours in the shop. Bonus at the moment is that they have the Garmin Forerunner 45 on special for way more affordable than anywhere else. Made a trip there especially for this deal. Looking forward to more great bargains in the near future!

Absolute shocker. Was in-store for about 20 minutes and not one salesperson approached me to assist. And no, they werent busy. Clearly they dont need business which is strange with Covid. Will spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

Service here is great. Brands are limited compared to European outdoor shops, so if you are an overseas visitor bear this in mind. Essential items for camping or hiking are available here. If you are looking for a knife, there is quite a range to choose from. One suggestion as an outdoor company they should really remove throw away plastic items which may last only a few days... Set an example for future generations...

Nice store, nothing spectacular. Kind of wish someone would have eventually asked me if I need something after walking around looking for something specific but all the staff seemed preoccupied. Even with just a couple of customers in store. But I dont like being bothered straight away when walking into a store, so I guess this is better. I found what I was looking for though :)

For any traveller, both local and foreign, I recommend you give them a visit. Poor customer service over the phone. I called in today to enquire about a simple price. The phone rang for so long that I was about to hang up. When someone finaly answered, I simply mentioned a product name and the gentleman immediately said he needs to transfer me. I honestly believe that any staff on your shop floor answering the phone could have helped me with a price of one of your products. The person he transfered me to never answered the phone.

This shop has a variety of different stuff for sale. A variety of led torches, sleeping bags, tops to keep you warm, different kinds of shoes, camping equipment, etc, etc... for the person that love the outdoors, this is the place to visit - dont miss out!!

Very nice store. Its got all the accesories for camping, hiking, exploring, basically anything adventurous. It also has a clothing line in colabiration with old khaki which is fabulous. I love shopping here.

Unfortunately they dont carry a large amount of stock when I went shoe shopping there but nevertheless were very accomodating.Also being at the door of the mall means you can get in and out pretty quickly if you arent all that keen on mall dwelling like myself.

The worst service Ive ever had in a long time. I walk up to to the shoes and start searching for shoes in my price range (Im a student so I cant afford everything they have). One of the workers there walked up to me and asked if he could help me. I said yes, I would like affordable shoes. He looked at me and walked away laughing....I will never go back to that branch. I had much better service at Canal Walk branch! Their service was amazing!

Always enjoy his excellent service.Heres another reason to craft good relations with the Cape Union mart staff: my old Garmin GPS stopped working after 15 years of really good service. I wanted the Garmin DriveAssist but it was priced at R4999. Shopped around and found one for R3899 at one of their competitors. Cape Union Mart matched that price. Tygervalley branch had none in stock. Well, Tygervalley staff went the extra mile and sourced one for me at their Cape Gate branch. Now thats excellent service! Love, love, love Tygervalley Cape Union Mart.
